Happy you posted this and the ddj rev 1 video. I literally was looking into copping one of the 2 and im very happy to hear about these caveats. Other reviews seem like just a pure ads cuz they kinda gloss over the cons. Tldr I appreciate the raw honesty
I feel this is the most honest review on this than the other reviews. Really helpful bro. Not the type of persuading review but more of a considering one. If u get what I mean. Thanks! Planning to buy one today. 😉
This unit feels great and very solid.... I'm new to this type of dj equipment and I'm trying to learn scratching....have to get used to speed but it's fun. I am also a drummer so i already know where to drop.
I literately just purchased this at Guitar Center after going in for the Rev1! The layout is better for me over the Rev1 since my DDJ sb3 stopped working properly after 2.5 years. Hope I am not disappointed.
I have a new student who got the NS4 (4 channel version) and he's LOVING it. You really can't go wrong with this gear, there's a lot more to learn and grow into here than with something like a DDJ 200 controller.
came across this as I just picked one up to fill my "grab and go" controller void. I've had a couple others in this class but pass them along to others wanting to start djing. Although I haven't checked to see the firmware (is there updatable firmware on this) but to use stems on the rig in Serato, the only option is to replace "sampler". I use my sampler often and have been using stems more and more. Has anyone midi mapped stems on this? The fader cut mode is something I don't plan to use and wish that was an option to run stems. Thank you for the video.
How can i hook it up to some old home theater speakers? They have the traditional red and black speaker inputs. HELP! & I want to add in my subwoofer as well
Any old wired speakers should require a "head unit" to send the signal out to the speakers. This head unit should have RCA inputs that can be sent out from the controller. A decent head unit will have outputs for left, right and a subwoofer that should be able to be hooked up with standard stereo wire. Check out local thrift stores for killer deals on decent head units.
@@alchemix206 thank you very much. I’m looking for a DJ controller as a backup to my RANE Twelve and Seventy. I wasn’t to sure whether to get the Rev 1. So thank you again for helping me decide.

Anytime brother! I suspect I may never get any sponsorships due to my brutal honesty but I'd rather that than pretend every piece of gear is perfect.

If you can drop on time that's half the battle. Hope your having a blast with it, I know I loved mine.

I still consider this the Cadillac of grab and go smaller controllers, I think you made the right choice!
I’m a beginner and based on all my research I’m definitely interested in this one to learn on

Finally a proper Djs deejay review , fck the specs ... U the only one talking bout usability in real settings.
Thanks man! I try and keep it real.
I use this combined with the reloop neon it solved the pad issue for me. It will take some time to get used to the workflow.
Thats a great idea, neons are out there for cheap. Thank you!
We should do an outdoor set with that and me on the Reloop Ready
I'm down! Lets hit that secret skate bowl under Spokane St.
Why did you like it more than the Rev1, other than the pitch faders???
Overall build, form and function felt better on the Numark.

Ive mapped Traktor and hear VDJ is easy too. Not sure if someone mapped stems for this hardware yet but I feel like that would be popular with folks.

Would you pick the Rev 1 over the platinum fix?
No I was happier with the numark, the Rev 1 is great but I thought the features on the Platinum FX made it a slightly more well rounded rig.

@@shadow7423 I think you'll be very happy with the mix track!
Would you prefer this over the FLX 4?
Yes, the FLX 4 is a good 4 channel at that price, but for compact simplicity this is hard to beat.
Where did you get that version bro
Special order from Guitar Center
@@alchemix206how much did you get for ?

It's been so hit or miss with DJ dear since the pandemic. I want to get a Stanton STX but can't find em in my area right now.
