Hi, do you know when you take the washer plate out and there are those drain holes on the side how would you get something out that feel down there ... i got something stuck down there ?
Great video! I have the same machine about 3 years old. Followed the repair and it fixed the shaking and out of balance issue. After the repair, I do notice a new pretty loud clicking sound that occurs on every agitation (about ever second) when in the wash and rinse cycle. Seems to agitate fine. Should I redo and maybe tighten or loosen the new metal hub? I am stumped with this new clicking noise. Thank you.
I thought it was the clutch. Changed it but housed the lid lock. To see its motion. Agitates well. But when draining the tub wants to spin but dont move.
@@HarperandKnowlesHands down, the only vid worth watching. Question on My "wash-plate" Kenmore; Intermittent drive motor. Normal cycle or test mode: might work or not. Old cap metered good/new cap-still no change. Possible bad relay on Motherboard? What say You. Help is appreciated, Thanks so much.
hey i have a maytag like the 1 you have in this video. it stops when it gets to the final rinse cycle and the spin light blinks off and on. the clothes still have some water in them. any ideas? thanks
I have a Maytag bravos. It was occasionally making a grinding sound when starting to agitate. Then it just recently stopped spinning. I removed the wash basket to check the drive hub which was indeed bad but my problem is, when I removed the wash basket, the tube that it’s connected to came out with it and now I’m stuck and don’t know what to do. I tried just putting it back together like that but it’s not working.
I have an older Maytag and it spins but it doesn’t spin fast enough to get the water out of the clothes…they are still wet and it only spins for a couple of minutes and then spins again…any ideas? Thanks for any help
You may need a new motor. If it spins then stops then comes back on after the motor has a chance to cool down then your motor is failing. Thanks for watching!
@@HarperandKnowles Have a question for you..I used a the dryer yesterday and worked just fine..using it today and the drum keeps spinning without the dryer being on..I have to keep the door open..would you know what would cause that?
You failed to mention the make and model but I’ll give you my best guess. So if it stops when the door is open but starts right up when you close it I’d think the start button is stuck down. Just guessing but if you open the timer you might discover some stuck points if the start button isn’t the problem. On a GE product, (includes Frigidaire) I’d suspect a stuck start button too. Also be sure your door switch is working properly. If it continues to run but the timer doesn’t move then it’s the timer motor or something preventing power to the little motor. Thanks for watching!
Wow, at 36:22 you skipped the video forward. That is the exact point of the cycle where my machine fails to go into spin cycle. My agitator turns a few turns left then right, Unbalancing the load. Then tries to spin, causing the machine to violently jump all over the laundry room and eventually go to "complete cycle" never going into high speed spin. The load is completely soaked. My Diag codes are F7 E7, I think it is a Splutch cam problem. Thanks for the video
It sounds like a pressure problem. I’d need a lot more details to diagnose this. It’s almost impossible to do that without having the machine in front of me. Thanks for watching!
I’m sorry to hear you’re have trouble with your washer. You should get a Speed Queen TC5 they are the best! The Best Washing Machine You Can Buy In 2023 th-cam.com/video/qlkdxWfTZVw/w-d-xo.html
Do people ever remove the blue plastic protection on their washer/dryer control panel? Whenever I come across laundry repair channels or random laundry videos, I've noticed a lot of end users don't remove the blue film on their machines after years of use🤣😆.
I buy a lot of used machines and that stuff sticks down almost permanently after a few years. It’s hard to remove but once I paint the frame and peel that stuff away it looks like a new machine! Thanks for watching!
A grinding noise during spin is never a good sign. It’s almost always a symptom of failing bearings. Depending on your model it could be a failed tub hub. But most likely your bearings are failing. Look for evidence of rusty water spots on the bottom near the center. Failed bearings usually mean the machine has ended its useful life. Models like the Cabrio with a direct drive rotar/stator system can be repaired. See this video. Whirlpool Cabrio Spin Noise & Rusty Spots Under The Machine Solution Guide th-cam.com/video/_RxnUScT40I/w-d-xo.html. Thanks for watching!
@HarperandKnowles I have to lg washers that I can figure out. One spins and agitates. But the agitation is very delayed and the wash cycle doesn't count down. The other one won't spin. I changed the locks stators and actuators. And they don't have hull sensors. Any idea what I'm missing
Probably the control boards on both. If they have the same control boards why don’t you swap boards on one and see if the issue transfers over with the board. Then you’ll have your answer! Let me know how that goes.
It actually starts agitating before the water starts. At the end of the wash, it will spin out and then run a little water in before it finishes the load. It's like it is running a step out off. Confused machine.😂

I can’t think of a reason the tub hub would make the machine click. Make sure the agitator is tight. Thanks for watching!
Got the same washer. Making a nose while the tub is washing. But noticed the tub does not spin while rinsing. Any help would be appreciated.
The tub hub is probably your problem. Thanks for watching!

When did whirlpool quit making these washers wirt the faulty problems with the tub hub, tub seals, shock absorbers, sequench shifter, etc?
They haven’t quit making them but they should. Thanks for watching!
so far the Speedqueen washer I have has been trouble free in the 5 years ive had it.. hopefully it keeps on truckin
It should be good for another 20 years or so. Thanks for watching!

awesome repair!!! do you ever get any of those OLD! whirlpools? i wish I could find one.. like from the 60s and 70s?
No, those are considered antiques now. I get a few from the late 80’s and 90’s though. Mostly worn completely out!
@@HarperandKnowles that system from the 80s always seemed wierd.. somewhat simple but even more clunky than the "wigwag" design...

How to repair a maytag washing machine that begins agitating as it is filling with water?

Hi why my agitator is turning with the basquet
Probably because your splutch isn't shifting completely. Thanks for watching!

Yeah, I quit ordering the plastic ones too. Even if you change one it doesn't last more than a month or so and the customer gets mad at you.
