Should an old belt have deep grooves compared to a new belt with shallow grooves? Purchased one and this is what i am seeing...

Thanks for the review! Came here after reading negative reviews on the T7. We have a T7 being delivered next week and I’m excited to get a washing machine that won’t have to be replaced every few years. We’ve owned both a Maytag and a Whirlpool in the last 10 years- both molded/mildewed in the plastic drum (getting all over clothes) and both quit working. A couple of repairs and a service fee later and we decided to just buy a new machine because that was most cost efficient. I can’t stand the idea of disposable appliances sitting in landfills. Praying the Speed Queen will last for years to come!

I purchased speed queen washer ten ago. It has operated perfectly, no issues

I have a top load whirlpool washer. It needed a push to start spinning so I swapped the clutch out. It stRted spinning again but was not fast enough to drain the water off the clothes. I pulled the washer apart again and found a silty debris all over the clutch and gear case. I assume this is because the clutch and brake cam might not have been lined up correctly, but wondering how the machine wouldve fit back together if that was the case. I need to take and replace the neutral drain kit anyway, how can i tell if i shot my brake pads (want to avoid $130 extra part)?

Does the TR7 have a clean out hair or whatever filter or trap. I have a lot of dogs with lots of hair. I do brush their beding to remove the hair but can't get it all. I now have a Samsung that does have the filter I clean out after every 4 loads.😊

Thank you On setting to drain pump i hear a hum but not draining. I vacuumed out the tub checked for blockages non. The coil on the drain pump motor was warm. Removed and read resistance of motor leads were 27 ohms. I put 110vac to the leads it ran. Put it all back together we are back to the hum. Do you think i should replace the drain motor? Thanks again I have removed read the resistance and it was 27ohms.

I understand there is an issues with the TR5000. I have a bearing noise at the base and Speed Queen put out a bulletin out of this issue. What is the warranty period? I purchased during March 2020. I've owned SQ many years ago and never, ever had an issue with any component when they were owned by Raytheon. I certainly hope their quality control didn't change.

Thanks for the excellent instructions. Was able to diagnose a bad lid safety switch. However, the machine doesn't seem to spin as fast as it used to 20 yrs ago. Is it just time to replace it?

Not whating to tell your business it's obvious you know your business just one suggestion I used to work for a maintenance man he said the first thing you look for is the simplest thing first. I as surprised you didn't look at the agitator dogs first.

Chip, great repair. I agree with you about front load washers. Just about every repair on a front load washer is more difficult or more time consuming than a comparable repair on a top load washer. I am not a big person and I can barely move the newer GE front load washers.

Lol. I smacked the dryer with my palm really hard on the left side of the dryer right where the relay switch was and it cleared the problem right up!

This has been very helpful. I started with what appeared to be no power, but when I unplug the J12 connector I get power. Would this be the board or the shifter?

I've got 43 yrs on my maytag lat9420. The tub seal started leaking and maytag discontinued the part so put a knock off seal in and got it working. Have rust on the outer tub for the drain and bleach hose connections. I think when those connections go the washer is done. I would probably buy a tc5.

Enjoyed the video! I did one like this the other day and I soaked it in hot water in my ice chest. It made it way more flexible for the install.

I just bought a washer and gas dryer speed queen coin operation machine this month. I just got hook up downstairs. I washed two time and dry my clothes two times so far so good. I love my speed queen. I bought both from the appliance store.

I have a TR3 and I have had the timer wash machine in the past. This machine is so quiet I have to check to see if it's done because I can't hear it running. I learned the spin only setting by holding down the start pause button until the spin light comes on. Just something different than the old timer machines.

2 years and both Whirlpool dryer and washer gave me problems. Bought in 2022. I had to buy a sensor for the dryer put blue thread lock to secure the loose nut on the agitator as the belt came loose.

This is the second time I'm doing the bearings and your video has been helpful so far. I've got rust all in the shaft splines and I got penetrating oil soaked in the drum .I ordered the kit but this is going to be a few day process lol .

We got a new TR7 washer and DR7 dryer eight months ago..I normally prefer knobs and buttons over touchpad type controls, but the wife had the final say and she loves them. When the wife is happy life is good, lol.

The horrible smell of the front loaders is why I will buy a top loader/Speed Queen TC 5 soon. Just wondering is there anything I can do to lessen the chance my clothes and washer would smell horrible with the TC 5? Also any general maintenance you recommend people to do for these Speed Queen washers or we can just leave it alone without doing anything and it wont have any bad odor or have any other problems with it?

On GE's use a 1 and 11 16th half inch socket and a 1/2 inch impact gun to take it off.
