My mission to Mercury is still one of my absolute favorite watches, it’s Light, cheap, playful and fun. I have other much nicer and more expensive watches. But still enjoy the moonswatch regularly for what it is. Often calling it my “sweatpants-master”
That is probably the best comment I have seen regarding these watches, it has created an interest and people are talking about them, I have a moonswatch moon and am amazed at the amount of people I work with who start a conversation about it, so you are bang on with your thoughts. I said I wouldn’t buy another one but am tempted with these
I’ve seen them in person here in Las Vegas. The polar lights dial is actually extremely subtle and doesn’t sparkle at all. I would say most people won’t even notice unless you’re extremely close up.
I love the Speedy and bought a Moonswatch as a low cost way to try it out. I actually enjoy wearing it, it’s light weight comfortable and looks good. I’ve had more conversations about this watch with random people than any other. For the average person on the street, they’re cool and a lot of fun. Talking with my local dealer, he’s sold more Speedy’s than ever since they came out.
I bought the desert version yesterday, and I have to say that I like it, I didn't buy the first line, but after seeing them on someone's wrist around I was convinced, they are fun and even if I am an enthusiast, every now and then it is good not to take yourself too seriously ... I think that these moonswatches have this very quality ... letting yourself go to a simple whim ... you can make a thousand reflections on the price, but if I like an object I can also overlook a small extra charge ...
I don't hate these as much as I hated them when launched I just wish the quality was better Edit : Congrats on 2♥️♥️k , glad to be part of the journey as an audience 🤘
These look pretty good actually. I think they’re great to get kids and teenagers a taste of the wrist watch, and hopefully they’ll get the proper Omega watch in the future.
From afar you can get confused now with some of them if they are real Speedmasters or not. The blue ceramic looks more like plastic than the Moonswatch. The Petronas green for the Aurora borealis - not sure. The lava looks good, but to me this starts to look less like a toy now and more like the real thing.
I bought one of each for my three boys. They love my Omegas but these are more realistic for kids. They are plastic and I fully expect them to fall apart but for now my boys really enjoy wearing watches similar to those in my collection. They look pretty cool but the green one is the nicest.
Nice overview and video. I gave my Mercury Moonswatch as gift to a friend and got the liquid hot magma one, as I wanted a more colourful one but they did not have the blue/red ones when I check out the Swatch store in Berlin. This week there was no line, they had all 3 new ones + the Blancpains in the Dusseldorf Boutique so seems easy to get nowadays. They told me they stocked inventory up because of a fair and expected more customers. Anyway I am very happy with my new summer watch ( and do not think I need another Moonswatch yet)
I like ‘em. And not really expensive when I look at what it takes to bring a limited edition G-Shock in from Japan. If you think it’s too much, don’t buy one. Same if you don’t like the look. Simple right?
I think these make sense for Swatch. They have a core collection, and expand it over time. The desert looks like an improved Jupiter, imo. Love how you always integrate Austin Powers 🌸
Great video as usual Brit. Honestly, I’m over this colab by Swatch. This will be yet another group of watches that will be unobtainable. While I love both brands and this idea, I don’t like not being able to get any of them. ANY!
I quite agree that the Moonswatches are typically sold to help "build the future" I remember growing up with the TAG Heuer F1s being worn all over the place, and that caused me to have a desire for TAG Heuer...which still burns up to this very day

I really love all three of them. Wow. Very pretty. I cannot believe i am considering one from this group. I think it is the only way i would ever buy a 42-43 mm size. 41 normally is my max. I am wearing a 40mm currently
I agree, Britt - they are nice. Especially the Lava. I'm glad there is no Swatch store in my town or I'd be out more $ for another watch I definitely don't need :)
On the point of getting people to by Omegas, the Moonswatch definitely worked for me. Saw it, thought I get something better for the price and bought an Omega 166.070. Well, that was a start to a collectors journey.
I love that your mind went to the liquid hot magma place mine went to when this was announced. I saw these in the display at my local Swatch boutique and they do look like the photos. It's definitely a reddish orange, but not red on the Lava model. Through the 2 layers of glass in the display, I could see the aventurine-like dial, but it was hard to tell how good it was due to the reflections (boo). That definitely is my favorite and I like the Alaska projects I/II influence. I also love the Ultraman, so the Lava has an appeal. I don't know if I could be so bold with the orange, but I initially said that about Mission to Mars, yet I now own one.
Hi Britt, what do you think about the minute subregister? Why Swatch continue to produce a chronograph that has a minute subregister marked only every five mitutes? The normal Swatch chronograps has a regular one.
You know your favourite watch TH-camr is very good at her game when you get really excited every time she releases a new video. It just brightens my day. Huge fan from Borneo. I like the "petronas" but the red lava is very nice too. Price still bothers me a bit, but they are very nice to look at 😅
Brit!!! I recently found your channel and am a big fan! Just thought id give you some info on these new moon swatches, I have the original Saturn one and just added the aurora today. I gotta say the At least the aurora (Cant speak for all earth models) seems to be a decent step up in quality. The Lume is wayyyy better on the aurora. The Strap while still cheap feeling is made of a better quality material. Also the dial is much nicer the aurora sub dials have that vinyl disk texture (idk what the actual term is) and it has those aventurine esc specs in the dial (but they arent very visible unless in direct sunlight) TLDR the new Aurora feels like a little less of a rip off than the original moon swatches. Thanks if you read this made made it through haha hope you get one soon and can do a comparison video!
I like the Magma. In general, I get the fact they're lowly quality for the price but they pop. A lot more money can be spent on watches that are anonymous.
I am not completely convinced, but considering the reasonable price, I am considering to buy one. My first swatch was a present from about 1986. It is a pity that I don’t anymore that black swatch without numbers ❤
I just think I’m pretty tired of all the smack talk that goes with it… The price is fine… to me… the quality… is what it is… I agree about the concept is a bit of a stretch but on the same token… I love that they are having fun… I bought a Lava my self and i own the 1st version in mission to mercury… they are just cool and fun… the snoopy is fun too! On my recent trip to Sydney, went into the Swatch store to check them out. They look nice, but for that price I wanted to see sapphire glass, breithlight type material and some sort if automatic mechanism that will last longer than 2 years…
What this really makes me think about is when we will get a 007 Seamaster swatch lineup. They would do a color way for each movie. Call it the "Bond Swatch".
It is a smart move from swatch group for these omega swatch in the meantime many will buy a 250 bucks omega swatch instead of getting a 2000 $ longines or tag or similar cause they got inside all the same ETA movement as the swatch only the brand name differ
I totally agree with the idea of youngers buying them and getting to watches , I’m 53 and 3 of the young lads where I work love looking at my Rolex or Omegas or Tag Heuers I alternate at work and they have all bought over 3 MoonSwatches recently and they will when funds are better will buy higher priced watches so I do believe the MoonSwatch is building good thoughts in young minds about Omega

I already have exceptional “plastic “ watches in Casio line which I wear when mountain biking or ocean kayaking, solar powered and Atomic time setting. Would I consider Swatch, hell yessss.
They're fun to look at on TH-cam. That's about it. They're not for me. I have two old Speedies. They could be useful if you have an unstable terrace table and need to put a little support piece on the side that is unstable.
These would be pretty cool if they weren't made of plastic... And they had tougher glass... And they came with proper straps... And they had a decent quartz movement inside. Basically, if they weren't Chinese toys.
I agree Britt, it isnt badly priced! I always thought it was reasonable in terms of what you're getting, unless when compared for bang for your buck offerings in the same range (which even Seiko is now having problems keeping competitive within this range). I guess the general conversation algo included aftermarket speculative prices and the material offering. Both very reasonable complaints. But still, prices have died down and now we can appreciate this watch for what it is; it's a distinct offering. Times change, inflation has run amuck, and to have an Omega Speedmaster design with various eclectic offerings for around $300 is frankly (relatively) accessible fun.

Yuuuck ha ha ha Britt I'm around in clifton on Saturday next week if you are around to see the Omega for a vintage vid? Then back to Scotland i go. No worries either way ❤
I wonder if the colour dye will stain people's skin and the level of durability of the watch as a whole. I've seen bad videos and reviews of its previous version. =(
I like them. I want one(Lava). Don't want to hear all the hate that will be forth coming. Don't like the distorted up close footage of Britt(enough already).
Congrats Brit, 200k is a fitting reward for your cool videos. The watches look cool and sit in the disposable category, it’s just a shame they aren’t slightly better made. As for there are better watches for the money, kinda missed the point with that argument. Imagine if you had robotic assembled movements, mass produced watches that copied the Rolex design, and you had the cheek to charge 4k! Oh…that’s Tudor, but that value is fine? So, these are cool. It’s not my opinion, it’s the opinion of the masses. So why not have fun with them.
I still think Swatch is attempting to see how much milk is left in the cow...I will admit though out of all of those the "Omagma" looks the best. More importantly though....Congrats on the 200K subs!!
The more I think about it the more what bothers me is I really want to like the MoonSwatch. It is so close to being amazing. I think for me the quality is was is keeping me on the sideline. Even if they were closer to a Casio Duro or a G-shock or an old Seiko 5 in their quality. I would totally pay another $100 on top those prices for something creative like this if it was similar in build. I would probably have a collection by now to be honest. But these feel a bit… disposable maybe? and while that price is not insane it is a lot to ask for something that seems throwaway. It feels so close, like would if the gold release they did had more to do with observations around neutron stars in regards to the formation of gold itself, or something. There is a fun nerdy interesting way to go about keeping this space theme going and it feels like it is so so close to being really good.
I loved Snoopy edition, it was something new and fun, but same time I kind hoped it was the end of moonswatch series and they would launch Seamaster series or something else, these new ones... Feels like too much already. Totally lost me there. I'm going Italy in next week and hope to find Snoopy, it would be my third and last moonswatch. Absolutely hate their way to sell only chosen places and therefore only way to get one is grey market
Would prefer to see you make videos with your own take. It’s your channel and people want to hear what you think, no need to add ‘the watch nerd in me thinks x’ so it doesn’t offend anyone. From a fan of the channel!

I've seen them in a Swatch store today, they look cool.
I wonder if the colour dye will stain people's skin and the level of durability of the watch as a whole. I've seen bad videos and reviews of its previous version. =(
You can say « this is bullshit »🤣
🤣🤣💕
I like them.
I want one(Lava).
Don't want to hear all the hate that will be forth coming.
Don't like the distorted up close footage of Britt(enough already).
Great addition if you like the MoonSwatch. Orange Lava and Polar Lights Turquoise are very cool.
I agree completely!
Great thoughts. I will check out This Watch Life!
Better to buy the real speedmaster, but they are really cool 😌
They’re overplayed but look good. If they were $50 I’d be all over it.
All I can say is “Don’t like it? Don’t buy it!” Breathe in, Breathe out, Move on.
These are beautiful. They are also only available on the other side of the planet. Dah well.
I think the Fifty Fathoms collab made the Moonswatch price look reasonable
I had the same feeling, the price. It ant that bad 🤷 & they look nice.
Brit, the aventurine is clearly green, not turquoise! Congrats on the 200000!
Would prefer to see you make videos with your own take. It’s your channel and people want to hear what you think, no need to add ‘the watch nerd in me thinks x’ so it doesn’t offend anyone. From a fan of the channel!
I like the initial run , even the black snoopie but they should stop now. At least do it every other year or so. Not so frequent
it's ok when you can really get your hands on one.
I like these best so far... still can't get one though
Nearly lost ny sub, far too kind on this Richard III. Will wait to see what you say about the KITH X Heuer.
I would love to get the Lava or the AMG Petronas for my 3 year old, if it were the $55 it should be.
🤣🤣 it’s a fair one!
Swatch seamaster would be cool
Just found your channel while trying to confront my opinions on these and instantly fell in love with your demeanor, chill yet uplifting presentation and informative cross-references, subscribed and wish you well! Oh, and am gonna wake up a little earlier tomorrow to try and grab the MAGMA 😅
People have mixed feelings? Great! Swatch Group succeed again!

The real winner will be the „Mission on Earth - Water“ in black with a baby blue housing or center 😮
I didn't buy the watch because the lava model is more of a deep orange in real life. I'd prefer it if it was red instead. I guess I saved some money this month :D
I love this New moonswatch ❤
Food for thought: If it wasn't for the flippers, I'd never be able to get one 😊
I love them. Keep em coming. The more options we have the better. Great take!!
