Understand totally about needing to make the house feel like it’s your home. I have moved A LOT in my many years. I also need to scrub the place down, especially the kitchen and bathrooms. I also make sure I have my favorite linens, freshly laundered, on my bed. This relaxes me, even if the rest of the house is in total chaos. Just take your time, Allison. Don’t take too much on with your baby coming. I am looking forward to watching you make this house into your home.💛
It makes the most sense to just make it feel like home in ways that are feasible now because you truly never know how long term the other things will end up being.
I totally agree with you, you need a clean slate to work with all the colors honestly will make it hard for you to see your vision and the changes you have made so far makes the place look more homely and clean. I'm excited to go on the journey with you, I know it's gonna be amazing.
Some great tips, washing the walls & floors makes a huge difference. When we bought our house a lot of the reason we were happy to pay a little extra was they re-did carpets & paint before we moved in. I felt my house was old being 1993 but 60s! Wow! So cool ❤
We were in your position in the last 12 months. Our "home" is a 1989 mobile home on 1/2 acre with a two car garage & a sun porch. In this last year we've repainted all but two small rooms, remodeled our master bedroom suite, installed a new AC/heat system, bought furniture (some second hand, some brand new & some of the second hand was refurbished) and worked on the front yard planter areas. We still have a few other projects that will be done over the next few years, but we can live comfortably for now. Keep up the good work - the pride & accomplishments you achieve are worth it!❤ PS: paint & your own curtains make such a difference! Especially since the previous owner just lived here - no cleaning, ancient curtains. 🤢
This house "project" is so awesome! I'm loving everything you share. And I get the need to have certain comforts when you first get in a house that needs work. I love that we get to see what you're doing now, and then what you do later. It's like two for one! Thx for sharing!
Do whatever you need to do to make you happy sweetie! You’re the one paying for it and doing the work.

It looks so good already! I definitely understand how a blank slate is better than living in a house that feels like someone else's. 😁
Yes! Thank you!
ALLISON! EVERYTHING GOES TO BE FINE 🙏
It already looks 10 times better! I’m loving watching this process and living vicariously through you! The reno process looks so intimidating 😂

Wow! Excited to watch every video you post. ❤❤❤
Yay! Thank you!

So true!
One step at at time...😊
I know you can do this. I've been waiting for your videos.

I’m so glad you’re here to follow along!
Vinegar an bicarbonate soda do wonders❤
Thanks for the tip
Have you got Bucky there yet?
Yes! He’s settling in little by little. We’ve been getting fence quotes and looking into that so he can fully enjoy his new yard
When we replaced our floors, we took furniture out one room and at a time.
We wish we could do that! We’re hoping to refinish our floors so we have to do the sanding & staining all at the same time
🥰🥰
👌👌
❤
🌟DON'T GIVE UP ALLISON, YOU WILL MAKE IT, BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY REST WELL, TAKE CARE YOUR BABY BOY IN YOUR BELLY 🙂🙏
