One thing i forgot to mention in part 1

@@SpikeoutBattleStreet I didn't know that ! I had mine for about a year and I sold them because i wanted to buy the 225s but instead I bought the JBL studio 530 both on the warm side on netrual .
What amp do you use with your 220s ?

@@tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120 The budget Onkyo A-9030 which I broke when I recapped it and then repaired it myself recently. The 60wX2 power is pretty enough for the speakers. I especially like the "slit air vent" design of the 220 which is super convenient for placement.

Thanks for the review of a not often mentioned product. Last year I bought a pair of Mission LX2 speakers with the white finish and hooked em up to Rotel A14 integrated amp. System used for both 2ch music and movies. If you are going to hold on the the review samples for a while you might want to try and get your hands on a Rotel integrated and take it for a test drive.

Used the lx2 paired with a Rotel rb-980bx through Parasound classic 200 preamp and RSL sub added with good success.

@@rianredfield5252 Hello and just a general update for anyone that may be interested in system building. I no longer have the Rotel A14. Nothing was wrong with the Rotel but it was gifted to me and I returned the Rotel due to personal tragedy and I just could not listen to the Rotel/Mission system anymore without going bonkers.
So, here is the latest configuration with my original white finish Mission LX2's:
      Cambridge Audio Sonata AR30
Yamaha CD-S300 used as a transport
      Oppo Sonica DAC
Micca 14 ga speaker wire w/gold plated banana plugs
      Benchmark Optical Cable
      Benchmark Coax Cable
Oyaide Neo d+ Class S RCA Cable
2 Wireworld Power cords- one on the Yamaha and one on the Sonata. Both are the same mini power cord- Aurora 25th Anniversary Silver Clad OFC Flux Field Design.
I use this system as a dedicated music system and I enjoy the musicality of the system very much. The system is on the warm side of neutral but not overly so. On the whole, balanced across the spectrum. I listen mostly to jazz music and soft rock so these Mission LX2's serve my music and listening preferences perfectly.

One of my first "real" speakers were from Mission, still have them in a third system. They're Mission 731s on Mission Micrometer stands , sound very veiled to today's speakers though. Keep them for sentimental reasons.

I own both Mission LX 3 MK2 and Elac Debut Reference DBR62 speakers, and I don't always know which one sounds better. I paid only 230 € for the brand new Mission pair 🙂 and drive them now with an SMSL AO200 amplifier that allows a variety of EQs. The missions are designed by the legendary Peter Comeau. He has also designed most of the Wharfedale speakers.

And don't get me wrong the LX2 hold their own even at louder volumes but yeah the JbL/Klispch/Elac have a little bit more composer at loud Volumes but all those speakers Are about 200-bucks more , I believe the bigger Mission MK3 would be more of a challenge at loud volumes .
Make sure you watch part 2 😆 Deeper dive inside ! For the Pricepoint the speaker cabneit and crossover is very impressive ! 13 componete 4th order Linkwizz crossover/Bass is very impressive at low/mid volumes

I like Mission… I would have tried the Zeos reversal technique 1st.😂😂 ,, He likes to “Review” aka listen with the tweeters on the bottom, so he turns many of them upside down even if they are suppose to be on the top.. Try Turning the speaker over with the tweeter on top & then retry a few Amps👍 You may like what you hear better., So what,, what the manufacturer says or how they designed them.. Some speakers just sound more natural with the tweeter on top or even on their side like my Bose 301’s.. Try that technique..Get a pair of adjustable stands for testing purposes..Try the tweeter up to 38”- 42” the way it was designed and you might be amazed✅ Many times just raising speakers to your liking or moving them in or out even a couple inches can change audio drastically … I measure every-time, and sometimes the same speaker is a different distance with a different Amp.. Try that.. Even a wire change has proved to me to make a big difference.. Don’t forget to use No Seeum Air rises on those speaker cables, keep them off the floor, especially glass floors..They’re sold in the same isle as the Sky Hooks👍 Self adjusting height from floor as you move the speaker saves bending over or using a crane🥴 I show them on my channel… Best2You.. Keep up the great work TJ 🤗

Still boggles my mind how LITTLE a lot of well known speaker companies spend on the inside of speakers as compared to the enclosure. One thing I’ve always appreciated about JBL and, usually, Polk is the attention payed to the crossovers and drivers. The JBL studio 220 is a great example. Little beast of a speaker that, with only a 3 1/2 inch driver, outperforms most 5-6 inch bookshelves costing three times as much. Cannot WAIT to get my hands on a Studio 230.
