I have a fondness for Mission that is more nostalgic than anything else. My father bought a Sony system in 1984 (paid $2,500 for it back then!) and was auditioning which speakers to get with it...the first ones the salesman connected were a pair of Mission 700's and I was shocked at what I heard...it is tattoo'd on my brain. The track he put on was "True to Life" by Roxy Music. My dad ended up getting the Cerwin Vega D9's, which I beat the sh*t out of for over 20 years (I ended up taking the system when I moved out lol). They served us well. But I never forgot the Missions.
Like to thank Andrew and Kristi for this channel. I used and trusted this channel to help me find what I wanted for my new 2 channel system. After about 2 years of research and sampling I just made my purchase. Many items coming from the reviews and suggestions from this very channel. Here is what I purchased: Yamaha A-S1200 Integrated Amp, Dual CS-618Q turntable, Rotel CD-14 MKII, Mission 770 Speakers and Blue Sound Node Streamer. New Retro Look and I Love It. Thanks again guys.
I bought a pair of Mission LX-2 Mk II's last year to tired me over in between speaker purchases. They surprised me how good they are - and considering the price they are exceptionally good value and just a joy to listen to. I am discovering that I don't need "hi end" and the price tag that comes with it to find joy in listening to my favourite music. I think Mission, and the speakers coming out from IAG designed by Peter Comeau are very impressive!
Since 1978, I have had about 25 pairs of speakers. 3/4 of them have been Mission. Ever since I bought the Mission 770 Freedom back in 1986, I've been hooked. I was very happy to see someone finally review the LX series. Just an FYI, the original LX series (2016-2019) are basically the same as the current LX-mk2 series, but with an even nicer quality finish. Even Mission had to cut costs somewhere. My current LX-3 or (replacement LX-4 mk2) smallest floor standers, solve the ever so slightly boomy sound of the larger Missions. Would also love to see reviews of the higher end Mission QX and ZX speakers someday.
Just purchased a pair of the LX3 mkii's. I've never heard a Mission before these. It's a very enjoyable bookshelf for the price. Great purchase in my book. I can listen to these all day long. They remind of the Wharfedale 11.2's which I own with possibly a more refined treble response (both designed by Peter Comeau I believe). Your review of the tower describes the larger Mission LX3 mkii bookshelf to the T. Wish I could have gotten the QX's before they were gone. Thanks for the review!
Just picked up a pair for $750! These are my first “nice” speakers. This review was very helpful. Factors like easy to drive, easy to listen to, forgiving to poor recordings and an overall all rounder seemed to fit the bill for my entry into HiFi. I would love to see more Mission reviews. There’s hardly any around. They come off very underrated. Thanks Andrew and Kristi!
I was in London many, many years ago on company business. I had a little money to spend, so off I went to Tottenham Ct. Rd with a couple of test CDs in hand, to have a listen to a few "bookshelf" speakers to see which ones would make it back home with me. Just a few months prior to my visit, Mission had released their 75x series of speakers, and managed to demo the Mission 751s. And the same pair of speakers that I demo'd traveled back home with me, LOL. Damn, they sounded really, really good! And the cabinets are excellent as well. Well, that was many years ago, and sadly the Tropics were not kind to the drivers. I reused the cabinets to build some new speakers (I've been involved in the DIY speaker world for way too many years to mention, so it was fairly easy to do), but those LX-6 towers sure are tempting. Hell, the whole series is tempting. Must hid the credit card.. 🙂
YES YES YES please do more mission, i am quite surprised that there is soooooo little reviews done on the Mission range speakers!!!!! Just up from the LX range the QX range sound fantastic for the price !!
I’m glad this product exists and that it seems such a good value. We need more speaker and integrated amplifiers that offer way more performance for the price then ever before, with the world being as it is right now, that’s what brands should truly focus on. That and QC. Mission seems to be on a stroll and I hope we get to see more of them in the future with maybe more high end speakers as well for the boujee peach like me 😂 Hope everyone is enjoying their day and great review as always!
I currently live in Mauritius and its very hard to get quality gear here, luckily I met the official importer for Mission and Audiolab a few years ago. I have always liked Mission Speakers, my first ever home theatre was an Onkyo SR507 with Mission Mv6, MvC and Mv Sub, I was extremely proud to get a stunning system for a little over £1,000 back in 2008. Today I have an Audiolab MDAC+ with a 8300XP stereo power amplifier connected to a pair of QX5s as my main everyday system in my office (nearfield! Crazy, I know). A pair of QX3s connected to a Marantz NR 1506 serving HT duties in the same space. And my old MV6s? Still going nearly 15 years later (following a recoil) connected to an Audiolab 6000A. Every single system sounds amazing to my ears, filling the spaces they are in, and putting a smile on my face every time I crank the volume. I used to use Q Acoustic 2010i on my PC setup on a Teac 101 DA and sometimes I miss the way they sounded in nearfield, but the power, the bass, and sheer volume just can't be matched with what I have now. As someone who has always had to make budget conscious decisions, and most recently had very few other choices, Mission are far and away the best bang for buck speaker you can buy. Easy to listen to all day, warm, rich, well designed, and above all, affordable Hi-fi for the average guy.
Excellent as always Andrew and Kristi. Mission from the late 70’s on were always worth a listen and consideration be it electronics or loudspeakers and I suspect under the current IAG management this will continue. Good to see you tasting more European flavoured products, keep them coming👍
I've got a pair of small bookshelf Mission MX1 paired with a small and humble vintage JVC A=X1 40 W Integrated, and, well it is a small room but the sound is just spot on. I had bigger Pioneer and JBL in the past, and the little Missions can handle far more powered amps and the sound is still excellent, the speaker is stress free and because of the grill is not removable and designed in a way that works as a diffuser, you can feel the sound just in the middle of the room over you head and the instruments and voices very balanced and with great accuracy. big bang for your buck as they say. thanks for the vids Andrew.
Thank you for reviewing speakers in the more affordable range. Unfortunately, the higher end speakers are not in my price range. Therefore, it would be very helpful to me if you can tell me how these speakers compare to the wharfedale diamond 12.3, which I am seriously considering. Thank you for all your very informative reviews.
I’ve found your mission reviews interesting they weren’t really on my radar before your reviews. There aren’t many places to demo them around here but I hope the brand gets more popular. Thanks for your ever increasing comparisons.
In the UK missions have a lot more exposure. Many years ago, when I got into hifi, the budget options were Missions, Kef Coda 9 and a handful of other brands like Wharfdale. I had some mission floorstanders and I always loved the sound. Never harsh, full mid-bass, gentle on the treble. I’d be happy to see more of them over here in the states.
Bought myself a pair of Mission LX2 MK2 stand mounts & like another reviewer was very impressed I was really amazed by their detailed sound especially for their price point Loved your take on the LX6 floor standers & made me think of a pair for another set up ------ just don't tell the wife 😀 👍
A very good review as always. In a comparison with the Wharfedale 12.4, who would come out on top, same price, same manufacture, an interesting comparison.
I bought the Mission LX6 MK2 about a month ago, on sale in India for roughly $616 a pair. Loving the sound I'm getting for the bucks spent. Strongly recommend them as a starter floorstander for 2.1 listening.
@@andrewrobinsonreviews Andrew, you the man. If you can, please review the Crown XLi power amplifier. They are Class AB and, IMHO, sound fantastic. I'd love to ship you one for review but I'm far, far away. Cheers.
Thanks for all the wonderful reviews! 🙏 Just discovered your channel when browsing for new speakers and I've already spent hours on it and will definitely spend hours more! I'm very curious as to how you would compare these Mission speakers to the Polk Audio Monitor XT60/70? Where I live they are priced more or less the same as the XT70. Unfortunately not available for listening anywhere close to me. I'm looking for something not to expensive to replace my Klipsch Synergy F2's for cinema and music. I've honestly never been really happy with them and they give me listening fatigue...
Mission were really popular in the UK in the 90s, and typically paired/sold with cyrus electronics. They seemed to fall away in the 2000s though, but have made a comeback in recent years.
Would love you guys to review Mission’s ZX-5 Loudspeakers. Just new to the your fantastic channel,,could listen to you guys for hours. What a great team!!!
I had a set of Mission M74i,s for 20 years and enjoyed them every time i used them.I ended regretfully selling them for a set of Paradigm 120h's. Wish i kept em!
Great review and thank you for doing a section on speaker comparisons! I think that's what's lacking in a lot of reviews as you usually have a short list of speakers you're interested in and how they compare to each other. I currently have an old set of Missions that I love and am thinking of refreshing them with the current LX line (looking at the LX floor standing options, center, and ATMOS speakers as I still love my Mission surrounds M7DS). I remember when researching them that they were initially designed for smaller spaces and that's what ended up selling me on them as I have always preferred condo living over large homes. Wondering if you could do a comparison review on Dolby ATMOS speakers as the Klipsch ones I heard were not very inspiring and I haven't heard the Mission ones but am leaning towards them as I really like the rest of the Mission line-up.
Love this review good to see some affordable speaker. I love ports and me being cerwin vega fan I love that west coast sound. I would like to thank you guys for always being a great reviewer.
Hey Andrew, Loved your review, and yes! Mission deserve more recognition, I still have a pair of 761i's that I bought in 1993! Even though I am running a Kef R Series 7.1.2 system. Keep your awesome work coming, and try and get more Kef stuff in house. Vas from the UK🇬🇧
Thanks for your review and insight. It’s often a highlight of my day and gives me some mental juice for thought. Question: compared to Heco Aurora 700… thoughts? In
As always, great review and your wealth of knowledge is quite impressive! Also if you are as good and genuine of a man as you come across in your videos, that’s even more impressive!
AOTD: Short version - I regret selling my 77x full surround system back in the 90s. Not having heard any of the contemporary offerings, I'll defer back to nostalgia and just say that Mission have always been under-sung heroes in the U.S. When I was shopping then, the Vienna Acoustics Haydn were a bridge too far, but the Mission had a lot of the same "rightness" to timbre I was looking for at the right price. I have to imagine based on Andrew's review, that they are still delivering great sound. My wife won't mind a third pair of speakers in the house, right?
I agree with many others. Mission is a brand that people have old memories of. I had a simple pair of 701a I bought 24 years ago, when they were still made in England. Yes you should explore them more and bring them into light. I just wish Paradigm would give you speakers to review
First, I love the addition of chapter headings in the bottom left corner! Nice touch. Secondly, in the 80s, I worked in my uncle’s clothing store which was very hip. He had in the centre of the store state a state of the art turntable, CD player, amp and Mission floorstanding speakers. They were just awesome. They filled the store at distressing volumes with albums of Bowie, Miles David, Talking Heads, Prince, Brazilian folk song, Brian Eno and Frank Zappa to name a few. It was an education in music of the times. As a brand, they kind of went of the radar for a few decades. Glad they are back with oozes of style. That amp looks so bloody cool! Gosh, how does it sound? Looks like something out of 2001: A Space Odyssey.
@syanhc i've had the mission amp for 3 weeks now & it sounds fantastic lots of connectivity inclusion of usb input is a real bonus on an amp at this price £549 uk, it looks even better in black, to reference 2001 it looks like a monolith lol.
Andrew and Kristi, thanks again for another great review. I have had several pairs of Mission bookshelf speakers and they were all very nice, and like you said, I think they are underrated. I wish we had a local dealer for them as I would love to try out a psir.
I have been loving my Mission 737R loudspeakers for 30 years now and even after listening to modern equipment at 5 times the price, I want to keep them. So yes, please, I would love to see more reviews of Mission equipment as I think Mission offer great value for the money. And I am also quite sad to learn that you won’t do a separate video of the 778x as I would love to know your more detailed impressions on that. You very briefly comment favourably on the features and quality of this first Mission amp in 40 years. Anyways, keep up the good work. 😊
I just found this review evendough I am shopping for the LX5 vs Q acoustics 3050i . they both are well maid and have two 6.5" woofers with 1 inch tweeter. They both seem to be very well made and accourding to reviews they have very similar sound. Size, sensitivity and specs are also very similar. My fiend has the LX3 and I was floored by their midrange clarity. My reason for shopping for Mission LX. Recommendetions and thoughts between these to pair of speakers???
I have MX-2 Missions which I have had now for about 7 years and still enjoying them very much however I also have JPW mini monitors which I swap over to when I need a more acoustic sound
Our room is set up for storing all tangible media (vinyl, books and miniatures) in the one place we love to enjoy them. So we took the term bookshelf speaker quite literally, even the TV is "built in" to a wall filling floor to ceiling bookcase. We do have some space behind our sitting position. Would it be totally unthinkable to place a pair of (atmos) tower speakers behind us?
Alway the best reviews and I love her input and her asking him to compare certain speakers to current reviews. Well done like always. Have heard KEF speakers in person and I agree 100 percent, they are very neutral. Not a fan compared to my older Klipsch R-28F that still work just fine after 8 years
Excellent, thank you. I must say the production value and professionalism of your channel is top notch. I do so enjoy Kristi's opinion and your ability to rattle of the alphabet soup of model numbers.
Another great tower speaker review!🙁. Unfortunately, tower speakers or even bookshelf speakers on stands that are over 3-3.5’ in total would block our tv as it’s to the right of our center-of-room fireplace. Any recommendations for speakers on short floor stands? I used to have ADS L710’s on small stands. $1-2K budget. Thanks
The time for those has passed I'm afraid - and it's just not our thing. But if I'm being 100% with you, the community at large would watch a CD player review even less than this one. :P
@@KristiWright Would it be correct to infer that the only physical media you’re entertaining yourselves with these days is vinyl LPs? After ripping all my CDs to a NAS a few years ago, I could hardly give some of the more esoteric titles away to local used shop, and there’s still a couple of hundred sitting in totes.
@@KristiWright Guess I am a dinosaur.😔 Unfortunately I gave away all my vinyl records, cassettes, reel to reel tapes and went to CDs. Guess I have to go digital now. How about a review on how to covert my CDs to a more current medium with the least loss of Fidelity?
@@ivarniblon I never said the products for CDs weren't being made, I said that it wasn't "our thing" and that people wouldn't watch that type of content. If the audience isn't there, it doesn't make sense for us to put the amount of work we put in to a video if the data shows that isn't going to be watched. But then again, that would prevent you from asking for all the help and advice you likely seek out here on a regular basis.
@@fonkenful While we mostly stream content, we do have a fairly large vinyl collection. Andrew also has a Dune player that has all of our ripped "physical" copies of movies, etc that we use when testing calls for it.
Another great review Andrew. Could I just ask what your listening room dimensions are and what distance you are sitting from the speakers? You mentioned the speakers were I think 24 inch from the rear wall, is this calculated from the front baffle or to the rear of the speaker?
Current Office listening system is a pair of Mission 731 bookshelves driven by a NAD 302 integrated. Perfect mid 90's 'UK' sound. (helps that I managed to acquire the Missions (used) for $45 - with mini stands :D
Andrew, can you include B roll or something like that of you standing or doing something next to the speakers for size reference? Saw the LS60s for the first time in Best Buy they were a lot smaller than I thought!
Thanks a lot for another great review. I know you guys are super busy bringing great content for us but when do you think the Audiolab 7000A review will hit the outer world 😊?
Hello, dear Andrew. First, I want to thank you for your reviews, are a very complete way to get very good info. Second, sorry if I ask about something different of the topic of this video, but I want to ask about a speaker. Have you heard about the RP-160m? I know that Klipsch is very good, because of you now I have the RP-600m, but I want a second pair of Klipsch
Thanks for another thoughtful video, Andrew and Kristi! Question: I’m flying to Austin this weekend for SXSW next week. Anything I cannot miss while in Austin? Thanks so much for all your hard work!
Justine's Brasserie Franklin's BBQ Watertrade at the South Congress Hotel Small Victory bar LaLa's or Poodle Dog Lounge (for old Austin charm) Everything will be very busy/long waits/hard to get in...
A small question: When you say a speaker is placed, say 24 inches from the front wall. How do you measure then? From the front of the speaker or the back? Many speakers are inherently very deep, so that's the point. 24 inches from the back is way out into the room...
I'm looking for a 3 way tower for a large room. I like loudness and dynamic of the Klipsch rp280f and forwardness but I want a more fuller wider sound with some warmth and some sparkle on the highs something that has bottom end and mid range and can play loud 90-100db but no fatiguing high lvl listening. Somewhere between laid back and forward.
In Europe you can get Mission's for good price. I had the first LX2 bookshelf, then QX2 (with ring radiator tweeter), then QX2 MkII - really love their approach for a sound
I've purchased the Mission QX2 Mk 2 bookshelf speakers as well.Retail £349 in UK 🇬🇧 Has a more expensive tweeter than the LX range A speaker upgrade for my decade old Marantz PM6006 45wpc I've read the Mission 778 amplifier is essentially a rebadged version of the Audiolab 6000 ? 🙂
Bought the LX-2 Mkiis last November. Amazing sound and build for a budget speaker. Had and issue with the long crossovers. Both came unglued from bracket. Mission would do nothing about it, although still under warranty. I reglued and added support. These crossovers are way to long to not have support. Impressive crossovers though. Overall very happy, but disappointed with service/warranty
I love your reviews and I always look forward to the next video, so keep up the good work :-) I still really want to hear your opinion on the Wharfedale EVO 4.3. In Denmark, they are not far apart in terms of price, and since you were quite happy with the 4.1's ..... :-)
once again thank you for the review. I really like the looks of the mission and loving the old 770 maybe I need to listen to the new ones. Once again aswell I’d love you to review acoustic energy loudspeakers because from a budget standpoint it’s the best i heard. 109 at about 400$ or the new 120 for about 600$ are hard to beat.
hi bit late to the party lol, great review i wouldn't mind a pair but room size is not ideal 11ft x 18ft & due to it's layout {entrance to kitchen & hallway one end & window & radiator at other, that's a UK flat for you} i have to have the speakers firing across the narrow axis, however i do have the 778x driving wharfedale diamond 9.1 on stands & wharfedale sw150 sub & the sound quality is really very good, i'm considering getting the mission qx2 mk2 as i think they will be an even better match for the amp, any thoughts on that please.
Would you review Polk es60? ☺️ They seem to be in the same price range and I like them very much for the looks. So I'd be curious how they stack up against these.
as always well done on the video andrew, in your opinion, in a home theater setup with lots of sun assistance in a home theater 11 channel system would you see any reason to go with a klipsch rp8000 over the 5000, or even using towers at all up front over just going with like 11 rp600 bookshelfs? (i know this is a mission video but you mentioned the rp5000 in here lol)
Hey Andrew, I have a large room 16' x 30' and trying to find a decent tower with great bass response that sounds good at low to medium volume and works well with home theatre. Would these Missions do that?
Hi Andrew. Another great review. I just noticed that you keepUSING the IsoAsoustcs Gaia III with them. I also noticed that you were saying that they don’t add any sonically value to the speakers. Why are you still using them? Just of the physical attraction?
Hello Andrew and Kristi, can u pls review the Canton Townus 90 vs the klipsch ... I do really like what you both are doing for us... have a nice day and greeting from bavaria
I love my q550s partnering is a must and stay away from silver coated speaker cable I bought mine whilst on sale for £550 and well worth this price point
These are what i went for they are pretty nice for the price. I agree they sound better a bit louder and you can listen forever. i looked in crossover and its not bad or nothing special internal wise. I run with a Rotel amp and 2 subs using DSP. I prefer to run them with the ports closed up. I like the matt because i use them next to a large projection screen so low reflectivity is good and the matt paper cones, they stealth into the blackness.

I got a pair of mission 704a speakers 25 years ago they are still going strong .
Thank you for mentioning the Jamo c97 II, I’ve been very happy with mine and appreciate the comparisons when they happen!
Thanks Andrew, this was super useful! I bought Mission QX-4 MK II as got great deal on them...
Thanks for sharing, Sanjay!
Hi Sanjay, I'm looking for this speaker and can you let me know where you got this from ? Also, which Stereo/Integrated Amp U use with ?
@@andrewrobinsonreviews Andrew, you the man. If you can, please review the Crown XLi power amplifier. They are Class AB and, IMHO, sound fantastic. I'd love to ship you one for review but I'm far, far away. Cheers.
@@SivaKumar-pq4ys did you get these?
Thanks you for review, Andrew and Kristi. How these Missions stand against Monitor Audio Bronze 200?
Any future plans to do MA Gold series review?
Danke!
Thank you so very much!
@@andrewrobinsonreviews As always, you're welcome!
Mission speakers have always been terrific value for money. These are lovely floorstanders.
Would love you guys to review Mission’s ZX-5 Loudspeakers.
Just new to the your fantastic channel,,could listen to you guys for hours.
What a great team!!!
Thanks so much and we appreciate the recommendation!
Got to agree with Kristi here , the added touch around the drivers is sexy .
Love this review good to see some affordable speaker. I love ports and me being cerwin vega fan I love that west coast sound. I would like to thank you guys for always being a great reviewer.
I love that you are honest about these products and I've learnt so much,I wish I joined sooner
I had a pair of Mission 763 + a Proton AM 455 pro amp. It sounded really good.
Not surprised. So far I'm really impressed with the Mission sound. Thanks for watching!
Brilliant! check out the bookshelves from the same series please! i love this Mission addition
I'm not even in the market and I find myself watching your videos as soon as they drop.
Thanks!
Thank you so much!
I didn’t know Mission was still in business. Nice job on the review
We appreciate you watching.
Great review as usual. The comparison is most useful and awesome.
Great review as always Andrew! Btw where did you get your bomber jacket? 🤪
amzn.to/3IWiKNB
Our room is set up for storing all tangible media (vinyl, books and miniatures) in the one place we love to enjoy them. So we took the term bookshelf speaker quite literally, even the TV is "built in" to a wall filling floor to ceiling bookcase.
We do have some space behind our sitting position. Would it be totally unthinkable to place a pair of (atmos) tower speakers behind us?
I appreciate your content and passion!
Wow, thank you!
Thanks
KLH Kendall, I hope its going to be reviewed here soon. Canton GLE 100 is another good inexpensive one. Or what about Dali ?
Great review as always. Maybe do a review on CD changers? Hate loading one CD at a time.😞
The time for those has passed I'm afraid - and it's just not our thing.
@@KristiWright Guess I am a dinosaur.😔
Unfortunately I gave away all my vinyl records, cassettes, reel to reel tapes and went to CDs.
The fact that you had to create a burner account just to call me an idiot tells me what an absolute coward you are that you can't use your real name and face on YT.
Our room is just under 500 sq ft and the distance from the wall was calculated from the back of the speaker to our front wall.
Current Office listening system is a pair of Mission 731 bookshelves driven by a NAD 302 integrated. Perfect mid 90's 'UK' sound. (helps that I managed to acquire the Missions (used) for $45 - with mini stands :D
Are these good for listening to rap and techno? Or on a higher volume
I have a pair of PARADIGM STUDIO 10 v5. You guys think its still good nowdays?? Or should i buy a newer loudspeaker? Thankss 🎉🎉
Started to panic there for a second, coffee in hand, ready to go, and i forgot they moved the clocks again. See you in an hour.
+1
The Audiolab 7000A is coming very soon.
Justine's Brasserie
Franklin's BBQ
Watertrade at the South Congress Hotel
Small Victory bar
LaLa's or Poodle Dog Lounge (for old Austin charm)
Everything will be very busy/long waits/hard to get in...
@@andrewrobinsonreviews I know we’re making a special pilgrimage to Franklin’s, will try to squeeze in the rest. Thanks for the list; all the best!
Would love to see you do a review on the 778x amplifier.
In Europe you can get Mission's for good price. I had the first LX2 bookshelf, then QX2 (with ring radiator tweeter), then QX2 MkII - really love their approach for a sound
I've purchased the Mission QX2 Mk 2 bookshelf speakers as well.Retail £349 in UK 🇬🇧 Has a more expensive tweeter than the LX range
A speaker upgrade for my decade old Marantz PM6006 45wpc
I've read the Mission 778 amplifier is essentially a rebadged version of the Audiolab 6000 ? 🙂
hi nice review, where are the speaker spike feet from please?
Hi @thebash3206, You'll find that information in the description box just below the video's title. Thanks for watching!
@@andrewrobinsonreviews great thank you.
Hi. What is the louge chair make? The amazon link gives me a plethora of cheap knock offs unfortunately. Thanks.
I love your reviews and I always look forward to the next video, so keep up the good work :-)
I still really want to hear your opinion on the Wharfedale EVO 4.3. In Denmark, they are not far apart in terms of price, and since you were quite happy with the 4.1's ..... :-)
Wish you could get your hands on a pair of ZX-4. Would love to hear your thoughts.
Please keep showing product pages for each speaker comparison (I think that's new). It puts price and size/look in context.
once again thank you for the review.
Tim, Let them know you'd like to see their products on the channel and maybe it will give them the nudge they need.
Im going to give em
a hint 😊
Hi.Andrew...did you try mission zx series?
Ty
hi bit late to the party lol, great review i wouldn't mind a pair but room size is not ideal 11ft x 18ft & due to it's layout {entrance to kitchen & hallway one end & window & radiator at other, that's a UK flat for you} i have to have the speakers firing across the narrow axis, however i do have the 778x driving wharfedale diamond 9.1 on stands & wharfedale sw150 sub & the sound quality is really very good, i'm considering getting the mission qx2 mk2 as i think they will be an even better match for the amp, any thoughts on that please.
If you can swing these bit.ly/3whkdb3, they are the best Klipsch has to offer without going Heritage.
They protect our floors.
I use them because we have polished white concrete floors and they're the BEST feet I've seen for protecting delicate floors.
For the record, these are the ones we use bit.ly/38Bgoo7 • bit.ly/3x6nk4W
Thank you for the prompt and detailed answer. All the best!
How did you like the LX-C2? How is the vocal clarity and off axis listening?
Great review.
Thanks!
Any chance for Focal Sopra review? These the only one which left in a lineup 🙏
How do these stack up to the Q 3050i's in your opinion?
How would you compare these to say Jamo, Polk and JBL?
These are what i went for they are pretty nice for the price. I agree they sound better a bit louder and you can listen forever.
i looked in crossover and its not bad or nothing special internal wise.
I run with a Rotel amp and 2 subs using DSP.
I prefer to run them with the ports closed up. I like the matt because i use them next to a large projection screen so low reflectivity is good and the matt paper cones, they stealth into the blackness.
Always loved Mission speakers!
I am going to wait to see if Mission makes a Mk III version of the LX series. This is a very interesting series.
Hey guys, thank you for the reviews and your channel! Been a subscriber for a few years and have commented only a couple times basically to just keep thanking you for entertaining me, any many others. Here is my first request. First thank you so much Andrew and Kristy for continuously putting out quality and entertaining videos! I’m a total fan! My question is would these compare with the Polk xt70 towers? What do you guys think?
Very similar in vibe though the Missions are a little better looking and perhaps better built.
I would like to see a review of the Mission QX-MKII Series. it has a ring radiator tweeter like Polk. The small QX-3 MKII floorstander for example.
