amazing how women can move on so easily when they dump you. I was with this girl for 4 years, I was pretty experienced but she was much younger and I was her first for a lot of things. We lived together, and did nearly everything together. Then after the break up, its like I never existed.

I'm being reactive, if she wants to hang out just give me a date and time, otherwise I'm not going to chase her. She sends me snapchat memories about twice a week, says her cats miss me etc. But I dont know if she just wants to be friends or pursue reconciliation, because if its the former then I definitely dont want to hang out and end up more hurt.
I’m doing NC now and sticking to it this time!! I tried limited contact via text for 7 weeks with mixed results. I do feel he’s going through his own emotional issues, but I’m done chasing. I don’t want mixed results. I deserve better!! And I want him better!

Miguel Rodriguez- thank you! After going through all this turmoil, I feel I deserve better too, but I really fell for this guy. He really got to me, and I was prepared to stand by him as promised. I was going out more right after the break, but my heart just isn’t into it. I feel like I’m putting on an act just trying to be good company. I’ve been staying in more and allowing myself time to heal and get comfortable in the silence. I was with my ex husband from ages 14-40 (different person from this ex-boyfriend) so being alone was never something I was accustomed to- it’s time I learn. I’m back to strict no contact so I don’t keep reopening my wounds.
Just a little story of relief. When my ex bf broke up with me he did not shed one tear. I didn’t see his eyes water once. As for me, I was BAWLING my eyes out. Begging and pleading. I called him out and asked “are you even sad about this? You don’t even seem to care” There was no emotion on his face. It looked like complete indifference. But about a week later, his bestfriend told me that when he left my house right after the breakup, he bursted out into tears and couldn’t even see the road. He said that he was just a board and had no idea how to react. Until he left…complete sadness and tears in his eyes when he left. It made my relieved to know he actually cared and wasn’t as cold as he looked!!
Been with my gal for 1.5 years back when we first dated then she broke up with me coz we had fights for a few weeks, then I started begging to get her back for almost 5 Months, then I stopped I didn't know NC back then. So after 4 months of complete NC she started reaching out, she literally begged me to take her back while I was angry and had already moved on cuz I never knew she would be back. It would've been sooner if I didn't chase her for 5 months though. After she started chased me for almost 7-8 months I took her back. Fast forward to now, after 2.5 years of togetherness, she again broke up with me. I tried the same stuff to get her back for 45 days but obviously it didn't work, then I heard about NC and other stuff like attachment theory. Oh man I was that girl. Mom died 5 months into dating and I just became withdrawn. My mood swings were horrible or I would just become mute. I knew I wasn’t treating him well but it felt out of my control. I’d apologize but the damage was done. I couldn’t be happy. I was already on antidepressants and been in therapy for years prior so I just couldn’t believe my issues were my issues again. Sucks I lost such a wonderful person. with this last break up i went no contact mainly bc I just couldn't stand texting her and she being so cold (before the break up) and watching her social media knowing we couldn't connect like we were just 2 or 3 weeks prior. So I just stopped watching her social media 7 days after the break up. I knew about nc because of a past break up were I begged and pleaded, but this time was different. I really do care about this girl and like her a lot, but I couldn't stand getting more hurt so i naturally went nc. It broke my heart to see her struggling and that i just couldn't be there for her, she decided to breake up and told me she wasnt ready to be with someone at the time (dealing with family, school and work problems). Yep, my ex went from hot to cold in less than 48 hours. We got along so well and then he started "looking" for problems then, broke up with me. The times that we have talked (on social media), he's been veey cold and emotionless/indifferent. I'm doing no contact because I feel like I have no other options. He did initially offer to be "just friends" but I wasn't going to put myself through that. He knows how I feel so it's on him. He does have anxiety so I know that unless he gets help, we won't reconcile. I think we have to go back to our earliest times to explain this. It made sense that men and women love differently. If a man got a woman pregnant he had to be in love with her to be able to do anything in his power to keep her safe and the baby she carries. A woman on other hand couldn't afford to be hung up on one man. If her man dies she would quickly have to bond to a new protector so her and her baby would be safe because her child is more important than anyone single man.
Champion I've done this before. It's because I was unhappy and I told him many times but he was unable to (or wouldn't) try to help fix the problem. Finally I got fed up and closed myself off and left him one day. He was shocked and devastated. I'm 15 years older now so I would never do that to someone again, but just so you know the thought process behind it ... it was being fed up with not being listened to. My ex sabotaged me by becoming indifferent n miserable after 12 years of marriage n 2 kids, purposely starting arguments withheld sex from me fir over a year slept in different rooms trying to make me leave the marriage .but I stood strong fir my kids n never left n just hoped she would come around again. Hi Craig. Been watching you for a month and so now. Im in no contact for some reasons. She dumped me a month ago its a long distance relationship, been two years together. Anyway. At first I didnt accept the breakup but she asked if I wanted to be friend lol. I dont remember answering anything. carlos cabrera I did not know about no contact , explains a couple of things about a conversation my ex and I had Friday night. She told me to not talk to her and delete her number and I did but she would continue to text and later that night she would txt some more and every time I would respond she would say " back off ". And so I just happened to come across these videos today and your comment explaining this but she says back off not no contact

I’m unfortunately in the same situation and I’d like to share my experience with you. I’ve been in no contact for 2 weeks now after my ex told me something was “wrong with him” and that we needed a break. I did not beg like I’ve done in the past. I accepted the break and he told me he loved me but needed to figure it out on his own. I recently learned he might have been cheating on me and is possibly with another woman now. I have not confronted him about it, not until he reaches out first will I have that discussion with him. I’m so torn and the pain is excruciating.

If he date someone now he just don't want to deal with the break up but trust me at the end of the day when he realize that his new rebound girl wasn't good as u. What you should have said to her is, "I am not interested in being your friend. I love you too much for that. Call me if you change your mind" then do the no contact and wait for her to change her mind.
No contact means you avoid reaching out, but you can respond if THEY reach out. They are breaking no contact, not you, which is fine. So yes, you can read the messages and even respond. If she is trying to repair the relationship and you would like that then it would be smart to respond

I mean, in general, he can always TRY to help you. But I imagine that the advice is more-or-less the same; with the difference being that you reach out to her, apologize for what you did (own up to it) and if she does not want to talk to you or work it out... no contact. You broke the trust, and you have to live with the consequences of that. All you can do is try to move on, and work on yourself - allow your ex the time and space that they need to process how you betrayed them.
But I broke up with her, I actually threw her out. This was our second break up. She blocks me on everything. I'm lost all respect by pleading with her to sit down and talk to me. I even offered to pay for a therapist. I was paying all the bills and she was running off to volunteer or go off with a group she belongs to, it got so bad she didn't even tell me before she scheduled something. I'm in a bit of a debacle here. I could really use some help. My girlfriend of 4 years broke up with me a few weeks ago. We were best friends 3 years before we started dating, so we've known each other for nearly 8 years. The past few years I had been struggling with some personal issues. Low self-esteem, unable to find a job, lack of friends, etc. She was my rock through all of it. Her reasoning was that she was tired of being the one working in the relationship. She felt like she was ALWAYS pursuing my affection and I was never pursuing hers. I told her that things were about to change, but because it had been going on for so long, she didn't believe me. Like I said, it's been a week or so since the break up. I am 100% confident that I am making the changes in my life to fix things. She just didn't want to give me a shot when we broke up over the phone. I broke no contact last night because I wasn't sure if it was the right approach. We just had a bit of friendly messaging back and forth for a few minutes; nothing extensive. I guess my question is, do I resume no contact? She said she felt like I was never pursuing her. Would no contact just 'confirm' that in her head? Or should I actively pursue her?
It's only been a week since the break up, so give her some time. She's reached a burnout stage and needs to reload emotionally. DO NOT pursue, right now, she needs space from you more than anything. If you are confident that you a had a strong bond with her, nothing on this Earth will take her away from you and that's a fact. I've given girls all the room and time they needed and when they were ready, they came back, so give it time, but please don not get complacent in a relationship again.

I'm sure that when she did break up with you, that you tried to talk her into staying right? but she still left, so have has she reached out at all since the break up? If you pursue right now, it makes you look as if your motives are selfish and she may need some time to think. You have to believe deep down that if she truly loves you, she'll be back. amazing how women can move on so easily when they dump you. I was with this girl for 4 years, I was pretty experienced but she was much younger and I was her first for a lot of things. We lived together, and did nearly everything together. Then after the break up, its like I never existed.

I'm being reactive, if she wants to hang out just give me a date and time, otherwise I'm not going to chase her. She sends me snapchat memories about twice a week, says her cats miss me etc. But I dont know if she just wants to be friends or pursue reconciliation, because if its the former then I definitely dont want to hang out and end up more hurt.

Just a little story of relief. When my ex bf broke up with me he did not shed one tear. I didn’t see his eyes water once. As for me, I was BAWLING my eyes out. Begging and pleading. I called him out and asked “are you even sad about this? You don’t even seem to care” There was no emotion on his face. It looked like complete indifference. But about a week later, his bestfriend told me that when he left my house right after the breakup, he bursted out into tears and couldn’t even see the road. He said that he was just a board and had no idea how to react. Until he left…complete sadness and tears in his eyes when he left. It made my relieved to know he actually cared and wasn’t as cold as he looked!!
Been with my gal for 1.5 years back when we first dated then she broke up with me coz we had fights for a few weeks, then I started begging to get her back for almost 5 Months, then I stopped I didn't know NC back then. So after 4 months of complete NC she started reaching out, she literally begged me to take her back while I was angry and had already moved on cuz I never knew she would be back. Oh man I was that girl. Mom died 5 months into dating and I just became withdrawn. My mood swings were horrible or I would just become mute. I knew I wasn’t treating him well but it felt out of my control. I’d apologize but the damage was done. I couldn’t be happy. Yep, my ex went from hot to cold in less than 48 hours. We got along so well and then he started "looking" for problems then, broke up with me. The times that we have talked (on social media), he's been veey cold and emotionless/indifferent. I'm doing no contact because I feel like I have no other options. He did initially offer to be "just friends" but I wasn't going to put myself through that. He knows how I feel so it's on him. He does have anxiety so I know that unless he gets help, we won't reconcile. I think we have to go back to our earliest times to explain this.
It made sense that men and women love differently.
If a man got a woman pregnant he had to be in love with her to be able to do anything in his power to keep her safe and the baby she carries.
A woman on other hand couldn't afford to be hung up on one man. If her man dies she would quickly have to bond to a new protector so her and her baby would be safe because her child is more important than anyone single man.
Champion I've done this before. It's because I was unhappy and I told him many times but he was unable to (or wouldn't) try to help fix the problem. Finally I got fed up and closed myself off and left him one day. He was shocked and devastated. I'm 15 years older now so I would never do that to someone again, but just so you know the thought process behind it ... it was being fed up with not being listened to. carlos cabrera I did not know about no contact , explains a couple of things about a conversation my ex and I had Friday night. She told me to not talk to her and delete her number and I did but she would continue to text and later that night she would txt some more and every time I would respond she would say " back off ". I’m unfortunately in the same situation and I’d like to share my experience with you. I’ve been in no contact for 2 weeks now after my ex told me something was “wrong with him” and that we needed a break. I did not beg like I’ve done in the past. I accepted the break and he told me he loved me but needed to figure it out on his own. I recently learned he might have been cheating on me and is possibly with another woman now. I have not confronted him about it, not until he reaches out first will I have that discussion with him. I’m so torn and the pain is excruciating.

@@st00nervision50 thx but it's been way too long now and yes you're right he's way too busy with her to think about me.. any way I'm doing no contact to move on and forget him I don't wanna go back to someone who left me for someone else. It's over for me. Things will get better I promise. it doesn't hurt anymore as it used to be and I don't think about him as much as I used to. Just give it time and focus on yourself. Good luck.
@@deseos8224 nope it might be his rebound relationship. Trust me rebound is rarely success .base in my experience for ldr break up all we need is patient. If he date someone now he just don't want to deal with the break up but trust me at the end of the day when he realize that his new rebound girl wasn't good as u. He will feel the same way !the pain will turn to him. And I'm sure he will reach out..sincerely my advice.

What you should have said to her is, "I am not interested in being your friend. I love you too much for that. Call me if you change your mind" then do the no contact and wait for her to change her mind.

No contact means you avoid reaching out, but you can respond if THEY reach out. They are breaking no contact, not you, which is fine.

What is your advice on no contact if my ex broke up with me in August and I did all the wrong mistakes. I hate to say I did beg. I was a mess for almost a month. I mean, in general, he can always TRY to help you. But I imagine that the advice is more-or-less the same; with the difference being that you reach out to her, apologize for what you did (own up to it) and if she does not want to talk to you or work it out... no contact. You broke the trust, and you have to live with the consequences of that. All you can do is try to move on, and work on yourself - allow your ex the time and space that they need to process how you betrayed them.
But I broke up with her, I actually threw her out. This was our second break up. She blocks me on everything. I'm lost all respect by pleading with her to sit down and talk to me. I even offered to pay for a therapist. I was paying all the bills and she was running off to volunteer or go off with a group she belongs to, it got so bad she didn't even tell me before she scheduled something. I know we had issues but I still miss her. You talk a lot about if they dump you but I dumped her and threw her out so is there any chance?

I'm in a bit of a debacle here. I could really use some help.
My girlfriend of 4 years broke up with me a few weeks ago. We were best friends 3 years before we started dating, so we've known each other for nearly 8 years. The past few years I had been struggling with some personal issues. Low self-esteem, unable to find a job, lack of friends, etc. She was my rock through all of it. However, while dealing with my personal stuff, she ended up putting WAY more work into the relationship than I did. I was selfish and focused on 'me' instead of 'us'. However, I wasn't really aware how bad it was affecting the relationship; I thought we were doing okay and I had finally landed a job, so I knew things were about to get better. But one day, out of the blue, she dumped me. No real warning, no talk, nothing. Just broke up with me over the phone. Her reasoning was that she was tired of being the one working in the relationship. She felt like she was ALWAYS pursuing my affection and I was never pursuing hers. I told her that things were about to change, but because it had been going on for so long, she didn't believe me.
Like I said, it's been a week or so since the break up. I am 100% confident that I am making the changes in my life to fix things. She just didn't want to give me a shot when we broke up over the phone. I broke no contact last night because I wasn't sure if it was the right approach. We just had a bit of friendly messaging back and forth for a few minutes; nothing extensive.
I guess my question is, do I resume no contact? She said she felt like I was never pursuing her. Would no contact just 'confirm' that in her head? Or should I actively pursue her?

If you are confident that you a had a strong bond with her, nothing on this Earth will take her away from you and that's a fact. I've given girls all the room and time they needed and when they were ready, they came back, so give it time, but please don not get complacent in a relationship again.
