Well done john....seems like a whole new radio world...Main thing is you're enjoying the hobby to the max, I have never used SDR but it looks good. 73 De G4UNB
HI David...its been enlightening, completely different it lots of ways, all good but different. So versatile with a wealth of options. I.am still getting to grips with filters bandwidths, equaliser options ect but enjoying every bit of it...I do know normal radio will simply not be enough now...after only a month I'm heavily addicted to how it does things. Trust your well pal, stay healthy and happy 👍👍
It's good to refresh the hobby and still be able to get excited about stuff john, i can sense your enthusiasm we have been in this hobby most of our lives, and it's good to know it can still fascinate us and give us a thrill ....best hobby in the world mate! I love it and been doing it since 1978. I am not as young as i was ...but still plodding on...hope all is well with you.@@johnm0csn
@@johnm0csn John it’s a massive upgrade from my ft818 i have added a 24” screen to view the display it’s fantastic i have been using a book by Andrew Barron to hopefully get the basics set up I have found a few quirks ie don’t have the pre set in on the mode menu pressed on and try to tx on ssb it won’t work. Other than that I am learning every time I fire it up even on 10 watts I am getting out very well managed 22 2024-02-02 09:39 VP8LP 21.2950 SSB GD18bh Falkland Islands Bob Mcleod Confirmation requested from VP8LP on a vertical EfHW.

Nice St James park sign !
Of course 😊 NUFC til I die 😝
The Sun looks great, but you are getting a bit crowded there with the radio collection John, you will soon be moving the shack into the big bedroom 😁😁
