    Ah yes, the golden man himself. I actually have a theory that because the abstract concepts in the abstract spectrum of chaos call him the anathema (essentially antithesis in a sense) that the emperor is the abstract concept of order, explaining how despite acting so much like a god, he denies his people their spiritual needs if it means that it doesn't run the risk of either chaos and all the other abstracts benefitting from it like the eldar pantheon or perhaps make a new entity or make his avatar become unstable (which sadly after fighting the minor warp god avatar known as horus once he got corrupted happened even tho he was way more OP than him but probs still loved him if malcador commenting on his surprise at the emperor allowing himself to be called father is any indication) and yet despite all that, it turns out that his people needed something to hold onto for their spiritual strength, and the emperor was that exact thing: a god (albeit denying his powers are that level to keep order for that is his very omnipotent nature to fulfil like every abstract concept) that could unite them all, ironically even better so once publicly allowed to say it. TLDR: Holy hell order your avatar is stingy as fuck like cmon man lorgar just wanted your people to be happy and you would of gotten an avatar power level boost that isn't while being unstable.
    Oh and to quote the big E himself:"some see me as omnipotent and omniscient (the emperor admits his abstract existence) but you can't be all knowing and all powerful at the same time." (Emperor admits that people need kindness and not overwhelming force to bring them together and that like all other avatars, his is limited because lower reality space can't take in a being beyond limits in the same way a flat 2d piece of paper cant survive your 3d body landing into it)

      I'm pretty sure he/it could be humanity faith god.
      He's a paradox for belife.
      act like lorgar, but say lorgar is wrong after letting the legions be part chaos=he could've stopped it=not united horus too.
      say be nice and not believe in anything.
      then be a facist/manifest destiny/kill not inperiam.
      say for people.
      aleins are people, some even tell people about chaos when chaos is brainwashing them.1 alein was getting killed=emporors children story.
      this has to do what people would believe for humanity/warp storm=age of strife=people turn to chaos when hert=horus.

    I think one of the most important aspect of the Emperors was he was a collector. He couldn’t do everything himself. So he surrounded himself with talent, knowledge, and experience. Sure he was powerful and intelligent himself but he was also just one man. And that’s the best thing about the emps. He was all powerful as hell but just one man. And when that one man decided to work together with other men? Miracles. That’s the story of humanity no matter how powerful you are individually, real power is in unity and cooperation. It moves the needle of history

    My head canon for the Emperor (which comes from the whole he is a weapon thing) is that he is actually an artificial warp entity created during the DAOT. Essentially a psychic man of iron or incredibly advanced machine spirit. Everything about his past before the DAOT is a manufactured story by him or created by others.

    My theory about the emperor being x and y persons throughout history is that the being we see as the emeperor is just a vessel for a gestalt human oversoul made up of billions of souls. So the current emperor may have simply been a terran warlord from the age of strife possessed by said oversoul.

    My favorite Emperor Theory is that he is the First Everchosen of Chaos. After all the Imperium is the most decadent, corrupt, intrigue filled, war mongering society. They feed the Chaos gods more then anyone else. Look at what the Chad Eldar had to do to create a Chaos god. Lots of sacrifice and sex and cocaine. The others just formed because of Humanity.

      They don't mean he was actually these people as such, it was always the Emperor the whole time just using his psychic might to disguise himself to become these important figures. Its rather, these people never actually existed, it was always just the emperor in disguise.

    The clear winner in The Last Church is the priest -- because the Emperor is either lying or ignorant about the reality of gods, and he is either a massive liar & hypocrite or a self-righteous ignoramus who dooms humanity through his arrogance.

  • @eichler721
    @eichler721 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Also it's hinted at by Valdor and Malcador that the Emperor saw the future of what the Chaos Gods were creating and the destruction of the Galaxy and Humanity thus he set on this goal at any cost. Making him ruthless but not just pure evil like most people mistakenly think he is.

    1:39:05 "Master of Mankind is A very divisive book."
    Nah man. It's just a fucking garbage book. Same with Saturnine introducing Erda, they're books that contradict the fuck out of all Pre-established lore. They cannot be canon(which GW saying there is no true canon is helpful with) they break the universe too much. They take the entire character of Big E being "The last true hero the galaxy would ever see tragically being slain by the son he loves the most right at the cusp of victory" and turn him into an emotionless robot who's just manipulating everyone for the lols. Which also completely fucks with the parallels of Big E being Jehovah and Horus being Lucifer(his greatest, most beloved son) sieging the gates of heaven and Big E being unable to kill the son he cared so much for, if Big E has just been trolling everyone and pretending that he loves them for so long.
    It also doesn't help that dozens of other characters, including Valdor and Malcador have acknowledged that the Emperor does have feelings and does love his sons which completely contradicts the other massive contradiction of him being emotionless and Is just manipulating them.
    ADB forcing his daddy issues onto The Emperor has done massive damage to the setting as a whole.

    I'm of the Emperor was truly the good guy in the setting, and here are my reasons;
    1. Imagine being someone that has lived for literally tens of thousands of years. After experiencing the golden age of technology, where the people essentially did follow the atheistic approach of the imperial truth [except that it wasn't mandatory since everyone was so enlightend and lived extended lives without worry and they saw the warp as the emperor does, I.e a conglomeration of negative emotions built up, not gods]
    and it worked. It seems to me he was trying to follow the same principles laid down by the people, - the same people he guided into the stars. He had a vested interest to have humanity birth more and more perpetuals... Sort of like how you value a chicken being alive so that you can harvest it's eggs.
    Sooner or later, in my head cannon, I think technology had progressed enough so that the emperor could take a secondary role in the shaping of humanity, and set out to Terra to establish bases (such as in the Himalayas) for his research.
    2. The emperor explains how his precognition works. He does not see everything and know everything. It's more like he sees the destination and has a good idea what he has to do (which includes exterminating countless innocence - since, humanity is the hen. He values the eggs [perpetuals]. If some hens need to be killed to avoid a plague among humanity [such as telling everyone about the chaos gods, and then mortals, being tempted by power, will do as they always do and enough cults will spring up to prematurely empower the chaos gods. So he chose the less emotional and more direct approach to devest the chaos gods of their power, while simultaneously creating unity and compliance [or how Elaih might describe it, obedience]. I don't know. I think that's pretty effective, and without evil intent)
    As strong as the emperor is, let's consider that the Imperium consisted out of a million fragmented worlds. Everyone was easy pickings for xenos, and some races did in fact war and easily overcame good and evil populations... But as I previously tried to establish, the emperor has had a vested interest in humanity, and I prefer to approach warhammer with the idea of him being the combined souls of shamans, simply cause I feel like I'm a purist and some warhammer books are great, but some are awful and I think it's nonsense that they allowed such writers to lock us into nonsense, contradicting lore, without even considering getting great writers to simply devout their time to writing warhammer books. Anyway, I digress.
    So when the Great Crusade starts, he can, without remorse, murder the innocent. This I don't consider particularly good, but with the alternative being humanity being given the reigns after they literally just f%#kd up, like a spoiled child being given everything and they still manage to burn down the house and spend all the money, he wasn't willing to give that child the same freedom to mess it up all over again. In his mind, only he is capable of leading humanity.
    3. The emperor was a hypocrite is incorrect. We can all agree that direct worship to the chaos gods empowers them more than the raw emotions felt by all creatures with a soul. Literally cutting the head off the snake, is him instituting mandatory atheism, starving them of power. The cannon of warhammer states that the immaterium exists and it's a reflection of the material world. As stated, the emotions that were being reflected in the warp took shape, and eventually birthed the chaos gods. I simply see the term as "chaos god" as a title, but it does not truly reflect the nature of what we normally consider a god, - being something that exists essentially outside of the religion and divinely intervened to create that society, world or people.
    He starves his biggest adversaries of greater power, and we can consider that fact since when chaos was introduced to the setting (literally by murdering, raping or Aids'ing entire worlds) to create negative emotions in the warp, they gained a significant power boost.
    So, in conclusion to no.3 , he understood the warp to be beholden to the materium, and did not consider them true gods. With him not considering it wise to allow people to just yet be placed in command, he withholds information. That makes him a liar and manipulative. That is literally everyone in our world and in warhammer.
    I'd think he would have had a lot of time to plan and consider everything carefully, and coming to the conclusion that the fastest way to having humanity becoming a unified species once again is to literally dominate people since a few generations later the pains endured by the people may still scar the population, but it is then done indirectly by, perhaps a nuclear explosion, instead of being slaughtered. The feelings become less directed towards the emperor and they are taught to comply. One could arguably say that the alternative was to have humanity become extinct, since characters like evolved orc bosses would rampage through the galaxy. With no unity, people wouldn't have survived at all. Nothing about that screams evil or self serving. Nothing can be said for certain, since many people who suddenly realized their personal interests did not align with the emperor, would understandably consider him to be morally wrong, without ever providing a better way forward into the future without the entire annihilation of the human race. It was a race against time and even after assigning everything to horus, he still made haste to terra in order to start the webway project. Seems to me like someone who truly wanted to elevate humanity by creating a race of human purpetuals, and wanted to diminish the chaos gods even further by not having to rely on the warp.
    He would also then win every battle, since he could simply send troops through it to any war zone, with no draw backs and cuts down travel significantly.
    He could also safely remove entire armies should something happen like an enemy tried something equivalent to an exterminatus. If the webway project was completed, he won the game. Humanity would have been united. Magnus would've powered the astronomicon. People could easily traverse the universe. Orcs would've been exterminated. Tyranids and necrons would eventually become a problem, but that's all too far in the realms of speculation what a non-paraplegic emperor would be capable of.
    P.s it's the dark age of technology, because in our dark ages, we didn't have a lot of history recorded. In other words, many generations later, we don't know what happened.
    Same with the Dark Age of technology. Between then and now, an entire period went by where people just simply don't know things.

    i kinda didint like this episode not because it was bad but because it goes a bit too much into big E and i fucking hate how GW works Big E, he has been a good father and a horrible father, soft and hard, the greatest human with all the flaws that come with being a human and a god infallible but cold, he has created the adeptus astartes and also he has not created the adeptus astartes and yes old times who knows what info is really true but at that point they REALLY should just kept their mouths shut, so at this point how i see Big E is in a mix of parts, shamans kill themself make the big soul and then that soul fuses with a human, now we have the god like being and the human soul in one body years in the future big E goes in the warp separates his human soul and leaves in the warp (safe but not able to have influence) then he conquer earth (in my opinion creates thunder warriors first while they conquer earth and more materials comes to his hands he creates the custodies with the knowledge that he learned from the thunder warriors and the new materials and then created the prime arcs and the adeptus astartes from the gene seed) this is the only time line that makes a lick of sense to me and even then it really does not make much sense like why he so warm to his sons in the great crusade in some points to the point where he almost didint kill Horus but in other times they are just tools and nothing more i like Big E as a concept but GW SUCKS at writing the fucker
    ALSO ARE YOU SAYING PEOPLE CANT DRESS LIKE A GOLDEN GLIMING GOD AND NOT WANT TO BE CALLED GODS ITS PEOPLE WHO SHOULD STOP CALLING PEOPLE GODS AND NOT FORCE OTHER TO NOT DRESS AS THEY ARE COMFORTABLE
