haha this is a cool hack! just some corrections... the 5 1/3' is actually perfect 5th above the fundamental (8', not 4'), not 4th below, so it should be +7. I used to get this wrong too but I remember 5 1/3' is shorter than 8'. and another thing, do not fix the tuning of the 1 3/5' drawbar. It's actually meant to be flat (by 13.7 cents). I thought that was why you used Operator, so you don't have to tune it exactly to the pitch of the true harmonics. The good thing about using Operator is that since the Coarse knob is a frequency multiplier, it will accurately represent all the harmonics with the deviations from equal temperament tuning. The 5 1/3', 2 2/3', and 1 1/3' are also sharp by 2 cents.
this was great! I think the leslie needs work, but it's cool to MAKE an organ. Ableton shares the same criticism from me. No good built in organ sounds. The draw bars are pretty intuitive. I'd love to talk shop with you!!! I followed along and got your same result.
Chris Lopez glad to hear it! I agree, didn’t put much research into the Leslie. I might look up it’s specs and make a more detailed video on just that. Glad you were able to follow along! Cheers
@@ChrisJosephYT A buddy of mine added a phaser to your organ and I mapped it to my mod wheel of my controller. He also added chorus, but I was meh about it. It was called "slow and steady"
I made a very simple and very realistic Leslie on Ableton Live 10.
- Audio Effects -> Chorus
Configure Chorus with the following parameters:
Highpass = 60Hz / Delay 1 = 1,35ms / FIX = On / Delay 2 = 1,21ms / Amount = 0,45ms /
*20 = Off / Polarity = + / Feedback = 0% / DryWet = 100% /
Rate = 0,33Hz --> SLOW
Rate = 6,53Hz --> FAST
This is really, really cool - and kudos for the great explanation as you went along!
Finally a great organ tutorial.. And you seriously know what you're talking about. Great vid bro

@@ChrisJosephYT my buddy added the slow and steady auto pan to make a reasonable leslie?
Thanks a lot man !
Can you make more video on instrument sound design in Ableton?
Nice!
Genial!
Hi Chris - thanks for that great video lesson! When will you be adding the link for your pack?
Link is in the description now!
how do you duplicate the operator? (Min 2:50)
Great video! Any word on that pack coming out?
Check the description!
Is there a link to download this pack? Thanks for doing this.
Just updated the description!
@@ChrisJosephYT thank you. You are of big help for this and highly appreciated!
As I feared, the downloadable pack doesn't work in Live 11 Intro. Too bad.
Thatseems pretty cpu demanding
hope you graduated by now
A lot of work, parameters and it sound crappy.
