Hi from Ireland that is so gorgeous very clever I love it.thanks so much.i crochet for charity for a children's Cancer ward.i will make an Afghan with this .great tutorial.🍀🍀🍀
Thank you so much for posting this! I absolutely love this beautiful pattern that you created… and know that it will be the perfect project for my busy work schedule - squeezing in a square here and there and eventually having a lovely afghan or even a pillow to be proud of. I purchased this pattern from you on Etsy recently and can’t wait to complete my first square.
You can make them larger. Others have done so. I cannot guarantee how it will shape up if you continue further, but you certainly attempt it and see how it looks.
Yes, this is a new stitch technique I designed last year and did an eBook of several patterns. I named it American Moss Stitch after the knitting stitch. Traditional Moss Stitch in crochet is done in single crochet. This is a different method and creates a different effect and drape. Works up really quickly too. Thanks for your comments :) www.ravelry.com/patterns/sources/american-moss-crochet
It is an "easy" skill level pattern. You'd need to know how to make the basic stitches used in the pattern...chain, slip stitch, double crochet. I always recommend this site for help learning to read crochet patterns: www.craftyarncouncil.com/standards/crochet-abbreviations
Ive never seen anyone lift their fingers off the yarn. Kinda like I do except i raise and lower my index finger and trying to get out of the habit so i crochet faster but my brain is stuck on it lol
This is a lovely crochet square and your videos are great! ☺️🧶🌸
Thanks, yes, love this one too :)
Just beautiful. Thank you…
Ive been looking for a less granny look. This is more delicate look . I love it ❤
Love this. Delicate and almost lacy looking.
Beautiful square. I have many balls of solid yarn I can envision being worked up this way. Thank you. New subscriber today!

Moss stitch is single crochet, but it is a beautiful pattern.

This is lovely! Would this be good for a beginner’s first project?

I learned to crochet at 3 years old, so that may be the reason I do it this way. Have been crocheting over 40 years now.
