    Thanks man. I liked the way you did not completely remove the fairing. I've been removing mine completely. This is so much easier.
    It helps the oil to drain if you warm up the engine before you start. I'm sure you did this but you didn't mention it.

    Good vid, well explained for us beginners thanks. I put foil over the exhaust to stop the filter change oil covering it. seemed to work for my first time👍🏻

      Thank you for the comment! Great idea about the tinfoil! I'll give it a try in a couple of days when I change it time.

    Incredible that the oil filter was only on finger tight!

    This was a great video I love the humor as well. Now I know how to change mine. How soon should I change the oil? After 3 or 5k miles? Dealers here charge 150 or more. I definitely want to do this myself. What kind of filter do you recommend? Thank you again!!

      Thx for comments! I change mine every 3k, as I am a canyon carver, and therefore am up in the revs often. As for filters, opinions are like rear ends...everyone has one :) Ask 1 rider and they will say blahs is their favorite, and ask another, and you'll get a different answer. I go with OEM, as they have worked for me for over 30 years! And $150 to change oil and a filter???! Bump that! Do it yourself! I get all my stuff from Dee at Corneraddiction.com. Drop them a line if you need. See you in the hills!!

    Just drop the old filter with the tool stuck on it or hit it with your ratchet liner a pickle jar. Works for me

    Very helpful video. Did you install those braided brake lines? Any chance you know who makes them?

    Hi. Excellent vid man. Im looking on bay one of this vfr but find out most of them have 25k or 30k plus miles and that set me a little back. You bought this bike one year ago with 30000 miles. How did you liked so far. It bring you any mayor problem? TYA

    • @BoomerBlade04
      @BoomerBlade04  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @203cyrus...I am sure that they do. I am just too lazy to look it up in the owner's book, or to google it :)

    If a person is paying the extra for synthetic oil plus quality filter might as well go more than 3,000. I go 5 sometimes 6 and oil still seems pretty good. Just saying.

      Opinions always vary...but with 30+ years of riding, I do mine at or around 3k, regardless if it is with mineral, or synthetic. Has served my rides well :)

    what size is the oil filter wrench?

    • @BoomerBlade04
      @BoomerBlade04  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No idea, seriously! If I had a part number, I would provide it...used a tape measure, and the inside walls measure 2.5 inches, so there's a good start :)
