You are not being picky....this would not be acceptable if this were any other new item. The price of Vinyl's is going up every day, So much scalping going on. Yet the quality, the bare minimum which is 'be a fresh undamaged record', is dropping at an alarming rate.

No quality control whatsoever at these vinyl pressing plants these days. Their only concern is to get this crap out as fast as possible.

I have this album on vinyl and and have no issues with it sound wise; for me, if it sounds good, I suck it up and don't return. I also have it on CD which actually sounds a little better (album is digitally recorded). Given where prices and QC is right now with vinyl, I now only buy new vinyl from audiophile labels, and buy used vinyl that has an all analog chain.

No mastering issues with the digital and owned it on CD for years… just wanted it on vinyl as well… Now that said; plenty of non audiophile build houses putting out amazing pressings… to be clear; I ALWAYS prefer original ones… However, some digitally recorded albums are plagued with compression and loudness wars on the digital copy and the Vinyl format can force the engineers hand to do a better mix; so I find value there (did another video about it) but this one did play quietly and without issue… just saddening that we continue to receive records like this… I opened a NOS album on this channel recently and compared what was received and yeah; you can tell QC is out the door because of over burdened presses… The deal issue arises when they still charge you $40-50 for a piece of media that is scuffed and warped and due to limited runs irreplaceable… Then it’s refund and no product or keep it and live with it 😥

@@BensAudioCave I agree about the mastering. I have a couple of Eagles albums that sounded better remastered for vinyl even though recording was digital. I'm just more picky now. I have gone from wanting everything on vinyl to being like, well CDs ain't so bad and being very choosy about what I buy in vinyl.

I buy from all over… new stuff is super hit and miss even some of the expensive ones… the dance was first time on Vinyl and was on the Reprise/Warner label… said it’s manufactured in the EU GEMA…

@@hoobsgroove I get it… but I have have tried smaller shops and their returns are atrocious… I generally shop local and in store… but at least I don’t feel badly about returning an album many times when it’s Amazon…

Scuffs don't seem like a big issue for me soundwise, but I agree. They shouldn't exist, but then again, many records are packed with paper sleeves.
I'm also upset that most of my inner sleeves arrive busted because of the transportation, the bouncing and the sliding of the record cut the sleeves.
Some packages from Amazon arrive in a simple plastic mail bag!
Suffice to say they arrive bent and with bumps on the corners. I return it, order it again, and the same thing.
    It's a freaking disgrace.
Even my country's releases back in the day, despite being printed on cheap materials and very thin vinyl, were spotless.
    What is happening?
I saw a video of the Pallas plant processing and the workers handled the records terribly, and that's one of the best plants!
    Smh.

Very indicative of contemporary culture - it’s all “give me your money”.
Go at problem; complain to the algorithm.
