Love the story. The Earl is a wonderful character. Poor guy's fallen in love with the new version of his wife but is constantly surprised and confused by her actions. His facial expressions are adorable. Since the FL isn't capable of being a real villainess, it appears that the book's post divorce wife of Earl Morris has taken on that role. Her changed demeanor (from shy to coquettish) and bold actions (theft of FL's jewelry) seem to indicate she also transmigrated. This is an interesting twist. Please continue the recap.

Long story short, it's a double transmigration story, and honestly the Earl/Duke is an abusive c^nt. Spoilers below: - - - - - - - - - Basically the FL is originally from this world. As a young girl, there was a magical explosion/accident at her family home which caused her to get transmigrated to Korea and a Korean to transmigrate into her body. Her family realised it wasn't "her" anymore so they ostracised her and treated her like shit, whilst going into seclusion (which is why they aren't around at the start) to find a way to reverse the situation. The Korean Transmigrator gets sold into the marriage with the Earl (Duke in disguise), who treats her coldly, refuses to sleep with her or be affectionate (He's the brother of the King/Emperor, and basically adopted the Emperor's son and pretended to be an Earl instead of a Duke to protect him, but was forced to agree to never have his own children as part of the arrangement, so he refuses to be affectionate or love his wife). Basically the transmigrator is ignored and abused for years and so starts to act out - finally agreeing to a divorce but only on the condition that the Earl finally sleeps with her. The "burning to death" from the novel/original timeline was actually a set up by the FLs original family as they found that if they burnt her to death in a magic dress it would bring the OG FL back into the body, but probably kill the Korean transmigrator painfully, so they set up her to get executed that way. There's so much more that shows the ML being an abusive prick (like him lying to her about the adopted son and daughter, and basically taunting her saying that he was a love child from an affair, whilst refusing to touch her and so on). It's horrific honestly.
I need authors to realize the true value of gold, bc their conversions to real world currency are crazy off. A potato sack of pure gold coins would be worth significant more. And it's crazy the MC realized the trader was tricking her, but didn't realize the actual trick. Offer her a fair deal on cheap items and severely lowball high quality ones so that he can make back profit 10 fold. It's like she knew better, so she kept the items he lowballed, but not enough to know why she should keep them for the appraiser
