I agree with your rankings, although I’m a bit more positive on pftw and doab than you. Also I may have switched doab and vices, not necessarily because doab is better, but because it’s how I was first exposed to panic and therefore is very special to me, now that they have become my favorite band

Every album makes me feel a different type of way, and I enjoy listening to each and one of them. The last two albums are sort of “pick me up and make me feel happy when I don’t feel happy” albums. However, I do absolutely LOVE Pretty. Odd. and it’s my favorite album by Panic! because it makes me feel so many emotions all at once.

Perfect? No, definitely not. Pretty. Odd. is perfect, possibly Fever, but they never breached that title again. But I can confidently say that there is no such thing as a bad Panic! album. And there's really only /one/ song by them that I think falls in the realm of 'bad'. *coughcoughGirlThatYouLovecough*. I'm fond of most all their tracks, old and new

3: Death of a bachelor (I litterally don’t care what you say, I love this album so much. I think cohesively it works as a concept album of brendon’s journey to where he was at that point in his life, and the album as a whole really does speak to me. There isn’t a single song on it that I’d skip, I love all of them).

pretty odd is an impossible record, it almost feels weird how not only they went this direction, but also did it so well with the weird song writing etc. its a shame anyone on the outside will see fever or the newer stuff and pass panic off as an emo band and nothing more because pretty odd is such an interesting and fun record

xxLonely_Moonlight_Editsxx I just despise the (to me) 80s vibe I got from the bonus songs it didn’t mix at all with me. There were some songs that are an absolute B O P but all the other albums pretty much all the songs I love but I dislike the most songs from TWTLTRTD

pretty odd is what I listen to the most, the lyrics & sound are just fun. I love vices & virtues so much I don't even know why LOL. Pray for the wicked was good but that's where my opinion ends with that record, just plain and does it's job

My favourite album changes from AFYCSO and Pretty. Odd. depending what mood I’m in. At the moment it’s definitely Pretty. Odd.
And I agree with PFTW being the worst, I personally couldn’t listen to the whole album without getting bored but I respect if people do like the album.

(A beautiful gem hidden in a forest that I haven’t visited as much as I should so it honestly doesn’t deserve to be this low, but soon I have to relisten to this album!)

I think you got the general gist of my own personal ranking. Personally I'd switch Too Weird and V&V, and maaaaaybe switch DOAB with PFTW, but I'm glad we can both agree that the old albums are the best, the new stuff 2nd, and those middle years were kinda the worst era for Panic. Also, glad to see some love for Time to Dance and When The Day Met The Night.

PFTW is good but it's just too by the numbers, nothing special. V&V, whose idea was it to scrap those bonus tracks?! If the bonus tracks replaced some of the worse tracks on V&V, it could have been amazing! DOAB aka a singles compilation, but those singles are pretty good. AFYCSO is classic pop punk, what else is there to say? Pretty Odd is current day Beatles, and they did it so well! TWTLTRTD, perfection every song is an absolute banger.

1. Vices and Virtues (Every track is just excellent, zero complaints about it).
2. Pretty. Odd. (A couple of weak tracks hold this back from being the best but as many will say, this is so heavily underrated. Please try and play more of these tracks live Brendon!)
3. Pray For The Wicked (It might be close to the release but after repeated listens I've really come to love most of this record).
4. A Fever You Can't Sweat Out (Some of this record isn't for me but I can't understate enough how strong of a debut album this was for the band).
5. Death Of A Bachelor (Plenty of solid singles, but they're not as high quality as the ones in the albums listed above).
6. Too Weird To Live (Some good tracks but the majority of the album wears thin very quickly to me).

I used to be obsessed with High Hopes but then every time I turned on the car radio I heard it and it just got old. Still a good song though.
High Hopes is overplayed... I LOVE B DON'T GET ME WRONG AND I FULLY SUPPORT HIM, but like High Hopes is played like everywhere... and I do love the song, it's just played too much...
Pretty.Odd is absolutely gorgeous. I love that you said it's positive, that's exactly what I got out of it. It's positive, yet dimensional and complex, and that's incredibly unique and difficult to do because that sound can so easily turn out to be melancholic, the line is rather fine and intuitive.

Not their best album although there are some good songs on here. Dying in LA, The Overpass, and Saturday Night are my favourites. Rest of them are meh.
5. TWTLTRTD
The sound just didn’t jive with me. I only like Collar Full This is Gospel, Far Too Young To Die, and Vegas Lights from this album. Still not that bad.
4. DOAB
This album is good. Love Golden Days, House of Memories, and LA devotee. Least favourites are Hallelujah, The Good The Bad And The Dirty, and Crazy=Genius.
3. Vices and Virtues
This album is WICKED. Hurricane is an extremely underrated song. Always is amazing, as always lol. Sarah Smiles, Mona Lisa, Nearly Witches, Trade Mistakes are all amazing too. Least favourites have to be The Calendar and Memories.
2. AFYCSO
Top two is interchangeable for me but damn this album is SO GOOD. Every song has something new to bring and it never gets repetitive. Favourites are Camisado, But It’s Better If You Do, Martydom and Tables. Least favourite is Nails For Breakfast. I don’t like the sound of all the auto tune.

Do I even need to explain? This album is a musical masterpiece. Every song here is meaningful and lyrically beautiful. Favourites are Northern Downpour, WTDMTN, She’s A Handsome Woman. All great songs.

it sounds stupid and I know it's an unpopular opinion, but besides the fact that DOAB got really stale over time with the exception of a few songs, it also wasn't as coherent as pftw. sure, some of the higher points on DOAB may be slightly better, but the not as good moments also play a huge factor (or in its case the overplayed) and it ends up sounding like a playlist more than an actual album. those two albums were my hardest to rank, and while both are solid... they pale in comparison to the rest of panic!'s discography

I’ve always had a soft spot for vices and virtues. Just really love the overall vibe and for me has a strong replay factor. I feel like it could have easily been their best with just a few tweaks because despite how much I personally love it it definitely feels like it’s just missing something (probably the bonus tracks tbh)

Your rankings are literally the same as mine. THANK YOU for the kind words about Pretty. Odd. That is my favorite of theirs too and is severely underrated. When it came out, it was all I listened to for a good 2 months. Whenever I revisit the album, it brings back the best memories of my life.
This whole list is (mostly) me, but omg there are few things as relatable as your annoyance with crazy=genius... I'm so glad we share that opinion :)

Notes: I at least like all Panic albums. Just because I have a different opinion doesn't mean it's wrong. Your opinion, if it happens to be different, isn't wrong either. I hope I don't start any wars over music, so just try to understand my trash opinions.
6. AFYCSO. It was a good debut, but it just isn't my cup of tea. There are some very catchy songs, but I feel like most of the songs just blend together and I end up forgetting what song just played. 3.5/5

5. Pretty. Odd. I love this album, especially since Ryan got some vocals in, but I feel like it isn't as well polished as some other albums. The style shift was interesting, but it doesn't compare as much to my top albums. 3.9/5

4.DOAB. It's a good modern album by Brendon, but I feel like some of the singles aren't fairly showing the best off of the album. If the albums sounded less like a collection of singles, it would be better imo. 4/5

3. TWTLTRTD: This album was in that position where it was Brendon's first real "independent" album, and I credit it for being great. While the album is short, the songs are memorable. Small complaint is that I wish the bonus tracks were on the normal album, but stil an amazing record regardless. 4/5

Least Favs: Girl that you love(but it's not horrible)
2.(I'm sorry in advance) PFTW. I know that everyone is divided on this album, and I wish I didn't like it as much as I do. I get that is it a much lighter listen with less substance, but I respect it for what it is. So many songs aren't regarded as even listenable, I just feel like everyone should at least give it another chance. 4.5/5

1. Vices and Virtues. Easily the Panic album I've listened to the most. The bonus tracks are some of the best panic at the disco songs I've ever heard. The original album is good quality, too. I just wish it was easier to get every single bonus track on the album. It always helped with background noise, so I memorized the lyrics easily. It was my first "favorite album", and I'm glad it still stands. 5/5

Whatt i agree with this!!! A fever you can’t sweat out is my least fav and everyone hypes it so much! I find it amateur, predictable pop punk.. etc. i dislike it tbh, his voice sounds annoying too.

About time dude!!! Been waiting for this one!!! Right off the bat my least favorite is Pray For The Wicked and my absolute favorite is Pretty. Odd
AFYCSO is the best panic at the disco album IMO, the songwriting, lyrics, instrumentals were all so creative and different from anything that had come out at the time. Plus there is hardly any outside influence. Pretty odd was influenced by the Beatles, death of a bachelor was influenced by Sinatra, pftw was influenced by musical theater. But AFYCSO was just panic.
What about Vices and Too weird
IDK if I would completely agree with your sentiment, AFYCSO was basically Fall Out Boy mixed with electronica and vaudevillian/orchestral influences. You forget, people pinned them up against FOB, considering they literally got as famous as they did through Pete Wentz himself. But their blend of all of those elements into a cohesive and interesting album was still absolutely creative!

6-PFTW: This album is just ...meh. There are some bops, but it's not near as good as the older albums. Overall 6/10
5-TWTLTRTD: Don't come at me for this, but this album isn't the best. It has some great songs but it's not the best. I rate it 7.5/10
4-DOAB: It has a lot of great songs, House of Memories is underrated big time. 8/10
3-AFYCSO: Classic debut album, has a lot of amazing songs, but IWSNT is overplayed. 9/10
2-P.O.: I love this album, I listen to it whenever I'm sad and want something to feel happy about. This just has so many great songs, and they make me feel good. 10/10
1-V&V: I. Love. This. Album. It is perfect in every way, and the bonus tracks are probably the most underrated things ever. There is not even the slightest flaw with this amazing album. 1000000000/10

We can't deny the genius that is Ryan Ross. He wrote all the lyrics to Fever and Pretty Odd, as well as the majority of the music (Brendon, Spencer, and Jon contributed here and there, but it was mostly Ryan). I do like Brendon's lyricism and musical abilities, but there was such a poetic edge to the early Panic! lyrics, and the instrumentation was a lot more complex when Ryan was the bandleader.

Yes! I’m not the only one who thinks Pretty. Odd is their best album and thanks for mentioning the song, She Had the World. That song is honestly one of my favorites from the band. It’s so underrated and very immaculate. Just listen to the instrumentals without vocals. It’s beautiful

angela g Yeah i totally see where you're coming from. Though personally, my musical interests are about as shallow as "catchy hook = good song, regardless of everything else". And for me, PFTW is a shining example of how hooks can make shitty lyrics and lukewarm production sound good.
I agree PFTW doesnt have the deepest lyrics but Roaring 20’s really tells a story. Overall, not superexciting lyrics but those beats tho! Panic! is unique in the way they (he lol) mixes modern sound with classical instruments. Its not very common nowadays and I respect that so much. Just like Linkin Park, their sound evloved like crazy into One More Light. Its not anything near Hybrid Theory but its got a quality of another kind I think. Its hard to stay relevant over decades. If panic! made an album like AFYCSO today, only diehard fans would enjoy it. Same with Hybrid Theory. Its a different time. But Yeah the lyrics could be better on PFTW. I totaly agree on that. At the same time, I think its a good album that I sure bop to alot.

TWTLTRTD and DOAB have to be my favorites, I love the vibes I get from them, I love that Las Vegas feel you get from TWTLTRTD and that kinda modern Sinatra feel you get from DOAB, the writing on both are really nice and I enjoy both of those albums the most out of the others

A lot of pretty odd gives me like Really Good Disney Movie Nature Serenity vibes. That probably didn’t make sense but it doesn’t have to lol. The instrumentals in She’s a Handsome Woman definitely give the nature/beautiful movie kind of vibe, as well as the beginning of When the Day Met the Night. There are so many incredible bops on the album, so many songs to make tears fall, and so many inspiringly beautiful songs. Pretty odd is INCREDIBLE in my eyes and it is my favorite album for sure. Ryan Ross is truly an outstanding musician, and The Young Veins’ “Take a Vacation!” Really shows off Ryan’s style. As well as his solo work being truly beautiful. Now we just need some more music from Ryan :/

2. Pray for the Wicked (I love the "Post Broadway Brendon" vocals and the instrumentals. lyrically it isn't fantastic but the positives far outweigh this)
3. Pretty. Odd. (Everything about it is great but I have to be in a mood to listen to this album which isn't the case with 1 and 2)
4. Death of a Bachelor (I love most of the tracks but there are a few too many missteps for me to rank it higher)
5. Vices and Virtues (I'm 50/50 on this album. I absolutely adore some of the songs but I find myself constantly skipping some of the others)
6. Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die! (Least favorite album by far. I'm only into a few of the songs consistently.)

Ah yes, this band. One of the first I’ve gotten into. I agree with most of your list aside from DoaB.
As for my ranking...
6. Pray for the Wicked - Easy pick. I listened to this three times and it gets boring FAST. The style was too consistent and it’s one I am not a fan of. Lyrics are kinda just thrown out the window. Terrible album with very very few good songs.
5. Vices & Virtues - Yeah, unpopular opinion. I love most of the songs here, but man, I don’t come back to it as often. The bonus tracks don’t do too much me compared to other fans. Definitely some highlights like NW, The Calendar, Hurricane, and so much more. Not exactly a bad song here...although I find Ready to Go and Sarah Smiles bores me from time to time.
4. Pretty. Odd. - Another good record that suffers the same issues for me as V&V. Love most songs on here, especially Northern Downpour, Mountains, and so much more. I just come back to here less than the others. That being said, Do You Know What I’m Seeing? Is top 5 PatD songs.
3. Too Weird/Rare - Grew on me big time. Many songs are easy to come back to and the lyrics haven’t been this great since Fever. Songs like This is Gospel and Collar Full are gold. Agree with G/G/B being...kinda not good.
2. Death of a Bachelor - Unpopular opinion. One of the albums that clicked with me instantly. Lots of bangers after bangers and a lot of interesting lyrics and soft ballads as well. It gives me a lot of nostalgic vibes despite it being quite recent. While I kinda overplayed it, I have to say I love every song here.
1. Fever - Easy classic. Camisado, Nails, and Build God are back to back as my top 3 from the band. Great lyricism, emotion, and even musicality. While the vocals may be a bit young, it isn’t as bothersome for me as many debut albums. Not a single bad song here.

I loved DOAB and although I had my doubts about PFTW, I have come around to it. Having said that, my concerns were brought up in this video, and I really really hope Brendon gets some more people to write with.
