Great video! Here's my personal preferences: I have diabetes, but I AM autistic. I feel this is the most accurate way to state things. will sometimes say I am diabetic, but I don't think diabetes defines me the way autism does. I'm not sure define is the right word, but it is really a core of who I am even before I realized I am autistic.

Hey Everyone, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who contributed to the polls and interviews I did, to make this video possible. You all gave me so much incredible feedback. I decided to mostly focus on just a few of the many topics I polled about for sake of time but if you would be interested in me making another video about language regarding Deafness, Neurodivergence, etc. definitely let me know in the comments below.

Your thoughts at the end are a really good summary of how to navigate language about us. It’s an area many of us feel strongly about, and the willingness/sensitivity to adapt our referencing is needful and respectful.
