Hahaha Proporo, good to see you here! Don't worry, this time the community manager and dev team (with much better Unreal Engine tools) is ready for these cuts. DR2 problem with cuts was that touching any location in terms of even hitboxes (Scotland logs) meant an instant .. *at minimum 30+ GB redownload* ? And i guess a bit of naivete, since they didn't expect people to cut so willingly, but i am just assuming on that one. Let alone the massive "aah nnn... ffffffffuuuuu..." when cuts were also used in the Esports event. :D Also, the game name in TH-cam is "EA Sports WRC" for slightly better reach. :)
Thanks for the heads up, looks like I had picked the right game, even showed it in video settings, but the video itself was still on the previous option. Re-applied to get it working. As for the cuts, we'll just have to see what happens. I certainly believe the intention to fix them, but I worry it's gonna be too much work. I've only played 2 gravel stages and one tarmac stage for now, both gravel stages are absolutely riddled with beneficial cuts, then while the tarmac stage didn't have any obvious cuts, it was absolutely filled to the brim with beneficial wallrides. So based on this I'm just kinda under the impression the cuts and tricks are absolutely everywhere, could be I've just ended up picking very exploit heavy stages.
@@proporo1999 I can say that they are 100% definitely trying to monitor the cuts while primarily still improving FPS/stability at the moment. Unsure about wallrides now though. BUT, there was a fire about this video, so if you do a wallrides video - that will blow up internally too. :D
4:37 on that long straight the car appears to be floating above the track completely unaffected by the (non existent) surface bumps / undulations... 🙈 Wipeout 2023 rally edition.
I dunno, if I look at the car itself, it looks pretty right. Just the 3rd person camera doesn't really show any of the shaking and stuff. There's some in car and 1st person shots on the replay around 10:21 for a comparison.
It's certainly kind of funny how they put no-cut markers down at some points keeping you from cutting at all, yet leave large sections of usable off-road only under 'get back on track within 20s or get reset'. Based on what I hear, similar cuts never got removed from dr2 so they might be here to stay. People don't like cuts, but people also don't like leaderboard wipes.
@@proporo1999Actually seems that codemasters its going to take actions of this cuts, banning them, but nothing has been done yet, we are reporting them to EA
@@AdJ0SimRacing We'll have to see how it goes, to me it looks like it's gonna be a ton of work but maybe they will get it done. In the end it would always be highly preferable to finish your stages before you do full release, but I suppose EA/CM can't afford even one guy checking the stages for cuts.
I played art of rally, which is awesome on its own. Is has some skill boost exploits like the clutch kicks to every gear change and in between sometimes, which make u quicker only in aor. Its lovely how he/she uses every trick here as well xD very great
The auto reset thing is kinda super jank, sometimes it will reset you for half a car length off track and then other times you can decide these next 4 corners are optional imma just head 250m off track in a straigh tline and its fine, ive had a few corners ive tipped in to get a faster line only to be reset and set back 5s for having half a car in the apex
And a second comment for algorithm gods About video quality - The video quality that should be uploaded, at minimum, should be *1440p 40mbit* 1440p tells TH-cam to insta-queue VP9 encoding quality (think x265 versus x264, but Google-ified) and quality will improve drastically.
I'm sure the gods appreciate it and will provide! 🙏 I'll try something like that, tried recording at 1440p at one point but went back to 1080p for some reason, probably just for the smaller file size and aor being so low-detailed.

Is it just me, or does the engine and exhaust noise sound like it was recorded in a garage, with all the concrete echoes and all? Doesn't sound like it belongs.
There's definitely something quite off about all the engine sounds I've heard ingame. After comparing some rally clips to this I have to agree with you, that's exactly what it sounds like.
Personally I do love this sort of unhinged driving/stage design. But, all I'm doing is finding the fastest lines and using them, it's the devs who have control of what those fastest lines look like. Torilla tavataan!

The game has a lot deeper problems that needs to be fixed than a few cuts.
It’s not a hard thing to fix, set up a dirty lap prompt like Forza has been doing since 2012

For me every player getting a WR using cuts is no longer a reference for me un leaderboard, in fact I won't take them in account to get a WR
