Going back and watching old Chuggaa projects I saw as they came out and then seeing his newer stuff, it's really awesome to see him embracing his humour more. So often he would say, "Okay, I'll stop" after a joke that is barely anything and it's so awesome to have been on this journey with him for so long and see him grow.

Godfrey is probably the closest thing this game has to a Juju or a Tatsu. There is one non-Gacha Blade that chuggaa hasn't gotten yet that's generally considered to have a worse personality, but that Blade is at least pretty good in battle.

At least for me, I didn’t like the area too much because even though I was a few levels higher than the ones in Tantal, too many monsters would agro which was fine at first but quickly got annoying, especially when on the linear paths. Since I wanted to explore a lot of the ruins up top and enjoy the setting and atmosphere, it was constantly interrupted. Also yeah, very linear for half of the titan doesn’t really help either

The moment you realized that it takes so long to get to the bottom while time is of the essence and yet the Tantelese were able to get all the way down there to install the Omega Fetter(Cheese) into Genbu's head and go all the way back up to the capital and despite living on Genbu for 500 years, they never built a single (REDACTED) ELEVATOR!!!
Emile makes some interesting points in this video. Though, while its true that the royal Tantalese family isn't a direct descendant of Addam, thats hardly means that they aren't direct descendants of other Tornans. Likely from one of Addams family, in fact. Also, it would be pretty difficult to falsely claim that an entire people are descendants of another. There's no real reason to believe that, despite indeed looking kind of different from the original Tornans, the Tantalese are in fact not descendants of them. Especially since we know of a Tantalese that somehow looks nothing like the others (even his own father) and looks much more like Lora, the girl we've seen in flashbacks.
Ugh, that ice bridge. I was so unlucky with pulling Ice and Focus Rare Blades that I couldn't explore that part of Tantal for AGES. Chugga: Says Gorg is "easy to pull." >Gorg was one of my last Rare Blades.
I'm very happy that the ice slides made a return, they looked so fun in the first game and in the second game it seems no different. I have to say the slides remind me of something my dad would do for my sisters, my cousins and I. Up until a few years ago, my grandma worked for a woman who owned a lot of property in Utah, they are good friends too even though my grandma has since retired. While my grandma was working for this lady, we could go to stay on certain properties with some of our first cousins. One such property is in the same area as the Sundance Ski resort (the resort where the Sundance film festival was held until it got too big) and in winter it gets a ton of snow. What my dad would do is he would shape a sledding and tubing slide out of the snow. It was always very fun and a lot safer than us kids getting in a tube and suddenly going down towards then falling off a 3 foot snowledge the plows left after going over the roads. It's one of the greatest experiences I had as a kid and I'm really sad that we cant go anymore, but I understand why things are that way. Part of the reason we got to go to that property was so my grandma could give a maintenance report in case something got in and/or got broken between people visiting. Maybe I'll be able to build my own cabin in the woods and bring my children there so they can have memories like that too...
So funny story about Tantal. I got sidetracked by that optional ice bridge that Emile said to build right away. Not only did I encounter the enemy that gave me the most trouble in my entire playthrough, Incandescent Marcus (Rotbart doesn't count because I killed him _after_ the final boss), I thought that jumping down from ledge to ledge in the Sealed Quarry was how you were supposed to reach the ground. I didn't figure out Lumos Pillar was the intended path till I'd explored the base a bit.
If your curious Chugga, I found out how accurate Zeke’s math was. At 2200 peds, diving at 120 peds, and the limit being 25000 peds, it would take exactly 3 hours and 10 minutes before Genbu hits its limits.

Cloud Sea King Ken, Anyone? 3:17 For some reason it took me until the post game to get her fire mastery up, there’s one place later on that it would’ve been really nice to have level 2 or 3 on 7:28 Add that to perfectly cut Emile screams 19:59 I remember thinking you had to jump here, but no just slide and it gives you more height for some reason
I have so much fun with the Ice Slides, partially due to fond memories of Chugga playing around in Valak Mountain. I only knew to experiment with slide physics in this game at all because of the Xenoblade 1 Let's Play, actually!
Tantal is just such an amazing area - in terms of looks and creativity my favorite areas in this game are still Uraya and the Leftherian Archipelago, but Tantal is also absolutely breathtaking, and one of the best ice worlds in any video game, ever. It's so big, both in terms of how it stretches, and how low/high the area goes, yet so well designed, full of secrets, and it has so much cool stuff going on - Theosoir in the middle, all those ruins and cliffs, the Titan technology, and it all looks so GOOD!
So if I'm remembering all of the Rare Blades chugga has found and which Blade group he's in correctly, his base drop rate is currently 1.98% for new Rare Blades. With a Legendary Core Crystal, that becomes a drop rate of 5.81%. In other words, he will on average get a new Rare Blade in about 17 more Legendary core pulls Good luck, chugga
Well, throw in the fact that Zeke can actually max his luck stat and if he keeps opening them on him instead of other party members and those rates might be higher
The first time I got to the bottom floor of this area was when the mist/fog weather was in effect and the daytime music was playing. That sight of amazement along with the epic music cemented this area as the most memorable zone for me in XC2.
Back when i played this game at drop, i stoppes pulling TBH the blades that carried me through the entire game was just pyra (seriously didnt like mythra) gorg and agate. Gorg deserves all the attention i hope this vids give him
One of the things I liked about Tantal after the events at Theosoir is that this is the very first Titan where I felt the game said: here you have all of this to explore at your fingertips and none of this is locked behind story progress. Go have fun! And I did! As you said in your last video, "snowy" areas are really awesome in this franchise. I loved Valak. I loved Sylvalum, and a I sure as hell loved Tantal
YESSSSSSS!!! So, I watched the XC1 LP before this and around 4 minutes into episode 48, there was this moment in Valak Mountain that the ice physics were just so odd that Shulk just had so much momentum and quite literally, flung himself off the slide. I am watching this after a year and a month Episode 74 got released, which is where I stopped for a while because I needed a break. I am so happy, that all of the things that made the return, the stupid ice physics at 19:56. And it even has something LIKE Valak Mountain, too!
Well, he is trying to awaken all these core crystals on Zeke. It'd be funny if it was actually coded into the game that the guy who is introduced through falling off cliffs multiple times had worse luck with those on purpose. (Kasandra would have been a perfect fit on Zeke, lol)
Actually, the reason he's opening them on Zeke is because he ironically has the highest Luck stat out of all the party members, to the point he can actually max it out, and everyone who plays this game opens all their cores on him because of this.
Here's my personal story regarding [RAREST BLADE]: had 25 legendary core crystals, used one on Rex, gave him a common water bitball, used one on Nia, gave her [RAREST BLADE], this was during chapter 2, after i had rescued her, she's currently bound to Zeke. Needless to say, I was in hysterics at the revelation.
I love the series you playing through has shown me just how wrong I was playing this game I didn't do merc missions poppie upgrades or even side quests let alone know how aux cores or pouch items worked I was at the end of the game and only 10 mbps higher then you are now thank you for showing me how this game can really be

Chugga should try and get a 4 crown common blade. He never went over them and they have potential to be better than most rare blades, hold 3 aux core slots, and are how you get Overdrive Protocols.
@@sterling8389 they’re very rare, I actually had almost every rare blade before getting my first 4 crown but it gets easier once you’re able to get more legendary cores. I got a 4 crown that had indoor attack up 70%, fusion combo up 50%, and extra damage to Titans 50%. They can be outrageously strong.
Finding the ice slide in this game made me so happy! Also, this reminds me that I did manage to get blowdown to knock a level 100 Unique Monster off a cliff in a future area.
Love that Gorg and Rex screenshot for the endcard. The Morag in the air one also looked really cool. Gorg is one of my favourite blades, very reliable in combat, but more so in that he always seems to have the field skills I need for things, so I have him in the party a lot, but I'm also sending him on merc missions all the time. Love the guy.
I remember having trouble going around the pillars of Tantal (specifically this fucking place at 4:36) because of a couple of Skill checks because I needed ice blades and me not realizing how the blade popping system work. It was one of two times I actually had real trouble navigating a place.

Given that the "second" race was never given, my personal theory is that it was the original native Tantalese. Given 500 years of mixing, the distinction between Tantalese and Tornan is moot. I believe that the main confusion is the "Cadet" branch of the Royal line. Basically that just means that the Tantalese royal line is descended from the *BROTHER* of the King of old Torna, where as Addam was the (illegitimate but acknowledged) son of the King.

Nothing of his takes advantage of or increases critical damage or critical hit rate, so him being a Greataxe seems rather odd. Apart from that though, he’s got all the strengths and weaknesses of a Greataxe so he’s fairly user friendly in that you don’t really have to worry about playing a specific way with Gorg other than how you would play with a Greataxe in general.

At least for me, I didn’t like the area too much because even though I was a few levels higher than the ones in Tantal, too many monsters would agro which was fine at first but quickly got annoying, especially when on the linear paths. Since I wanted to explore a lot of the ruins up top and enjoy the setting and atmosphere, it was constantly interrupted. Also yeah, very linear for half of the titan doesn’t really help either

Though, while its true that the royal Tantalese family isn't a direct descendant of Addam, thats hardly means that they aren't direct descendants of other Tornans. Likely from one of Addams family, in fact.
Also, it would be pretty difficult to falsely claim that an entire people are descendants of another.
There's no real reason to believe that, despite indeed looking kind of different from the original Tornans, the Tantalese are in fact not descendants of them. Especially since we know of a Tantalese that somehow looks nothing like the others (even his own father) and looks much more like Lora, the girl we've seen in flashbacks.
Ugh, that ice bridge. I was so unlucky with pulling Ice and Focus Rare Blades that I couldn't explore that part of Tantal for AGES.

I'm very happy that the ice slides made a return, they looked so fun in the first game and in the second game it seems no different. I have to say the slides remind me of something my dad would do for my sisters, my cousins and I. Up until a few years ago, my grandma worked for a woman who owned a lot of property in Utah, they are good friends too even though my grandma has since retired. While my grandma was working for this lady, we could go to stay on certain properties with some of our first cousins. One such property is in the same area as the Sundance Ski resort (the resort where the Sundance film festival was held until it got too big) and in winter it gets a ton of snow. What my dad would do is he would shape a sledding and tubing slide out of the snow. It was always very fun and a lot safer than us kids getting in a tube and suddenly going down towards then falling off a 3 foot snowledge the plows left after going over the roads. It's one of the greatest experiences I had as a kid and I'm really sad that we cant go anymore, but I understand why things are that way. Part of the reason we got to go to that property was so my grandma could give a maintenance report in case something got in and/or got broken between people visiting. Maybe I'll be able to build my own cabin in the woods and bring my children there so they can have memories like that too...
So funny story about Tantal. I got sidetracked by that optional ice bridge that Emile said to build right away. Not only did I encounter the enemy that gave me the most trouble in my entire playthrough, Incandescent Marcus (Rotbart doesn't count because I killed him _after_ the final boss), I thought that jumping down from ledge to ledge in the Sealed Quarry was how you were supposed to reach the ground. I didn't figure out Lumos Pillar was the intended path till I'd explored the base a bit.
So we pretty much got 2 deaths flying off of ice slides in Xenoblade games

Tantal is just such an amazing area - in terms of looks and creativity my favorite areas in this game are still Uraya and the Leftherian Archipelago, but Tantal is also absolutely breathtaking, and one of the best ice worlds in any video game, ever. It's so big, both in terms of how it stretches, and how low/high the area goes, yet so well designed, full of secrets, and it has so much cool stuff going on - Theosoir in the middle, all those ruins and cliffs, the Titan technology, and it all looks so GOOD!
So if I'm remembering all of the Rare Blades chugga has found and which Blade group he's in correctly, his base drop rate is currently 1.98% for new Rare Blades. With a Legendary Core Crystal, that becomes a drop rate of 5.81%. In other words, he will on average get a new Rare Blade in about 17 more Legendary core pulls

One of the things I liked about Tantal after the events at Theosoir is that this is the very first Titan where I felt the game said: here you have all of this to explore at your fingertips and none of this is locked behind story progress. Go have fun!

So, I watched the XC1 LP before this and around 4 minutes into episode 48, there was this moment in Valak Mountain that the ice physics were just so odd that Shulk just had so much momentum and quite literally, flung himself off the slide.
I am watching this after a year and a month Episode 74 got released, which is where I stopped for a while because I needed a break. I am so happy, that all of the things that made the return, the stupid ice physics at 19:56. And it even has something LIKE Valak Mountain, too!
Well, he is trying to awaken all these core crystals on Zeke. It'd be funny if it was actually coded into the game that the guy who is introduced through falling off cliffs multiple times had worse luck with those on purpose. (Kasandra would have been a perfect fit on Zeke, lol)
Actually, the reason he's opening them on Zeke is because he ironically has the highest Luck stat out of all the party members, to the point he can actually max it out, and everyone who plays this game opens all their cores on him because of this.

Here's my personal story regarding [RAREST BLADE]: had 25 legendary core crystals, used one on Rex, gave him a common water bitball, used one on Nia, gave her [RAREST BLADE], this was during chapter 2, after i had rescued her, she's currently bound to Zeke.
Needless to say, I was in hysterics at the revelation.
Honestly, this is pretty darn upbeat and hopeful for a Xeno game.

Chugga should try and get a 4 crown common blade. He never went over them and they have potential to be better than most rare blades, hold 3 aux core slots, and are how you get Overdrive Protocols.

@@sterling8389 they’re very rare, I actually had almost every rare blade before getting my first 4 crown but it gets easier once you’re able to get more legendary cores. I got a 4 crown that had indoor attack up 70%, fusion combo up 50%, and extra damage to Titans 50%. They can be outrageously strong.
Finding the ice slide in this game made me so happy! Also, this reminds me that I did manage to get blowdown to knock a level 100 Unique Monster off a cliff in a future area.

I remember having trouble going around the pillars of Tantal (specifically this fucking place at 4:36) because of a couple of Skill checks because I needed ice blades and me not realizing how the blade popping system work. It was one of two times I actually had real trouble navigating a place.
