Things Emile Missed: - -And likely still will miss when he gets to Niranira’s quest because this one’s rather cleverly hidden if you don’t mess about with the camera- EDIT: 4:44 He found it. Leaving this here anyways. No, I’m not talking about the White Treasure Trove by Bana’s bed. I’m talking about the Red Treasure Trove stashed in an alcove in Bana’s Bedroom. Took me three playthroughs to realize this was here. Jump up atop some furniture on the south side of the bedroom into a rafter above. Unfortunately, you might not be able to open this one without Pyra and Mythra because while the Nopon Wisdom Level 4 check is certainly passable at this point, the Focus Level 5 check might not be depending on your luck and how far along Wulfric is on his affinity chart. If you can open it up though, enjoy your new Common and Rare Core Crystals and 5,000ish gold. I’m sure Bana won’t need those anymore wherever he is. Speaking of, I wonder what Bana’s up to these days?...What do you mean I asked this yesterday? 0:44 Yeah, the process for getting Nopon Wisdom on the Blade Emile’s referring to is quite the thing. How do you feel about filling out TWO affinity charts? Kasandra’s really your best bet. Guaranteed core crystal provided you get the intel. 1:55 Also nice to have some Fire Mastery with Pyra out of the action. 3:05 An astute observation there, Gorg. There is no wrong answer for opening up the chest, just different requirements...and you’ll always fail even if you pass. 4:30 Nopon outside of Mira are surprisingly durable. 4:44 And so I eat my words. 5:40 No body left behind. You could argue he should’ve been disintegrated, and really, he should’ve, but unless there’s a body there’s no way to truly confirm a kill. 6:00 Chapter 6 is the most inconsistent chapter in the game. Maybe that’s just another inconsistency and they forgot to show Bana blasting off or something. 7:00 I got it by flattering him and then threatening him. Scolding is entirely optional. 9:05 If you don’t have a Blade with Nopon Level 3, you can get the intel a different way: Informants. Switch Part 1 intel I’ve seen in Alba Cavanich but also Argentum’s informant supposedly sells it, Switch Part 2 intel can be found in Garfont Village, and Switch Part 3 intel can be bought off of Fonsa Mama’s informant. It’s not just the number but the levels of the field skills. 14:55 Ah yes, the occultist. Fitting that someone like her should find her way into Zeke, even if he’s not great with Megalances. Vale is also our last base game Dark Rare Gacha Blade, meaning all Justice Boosters are good for now until post-game is the 0.1% Light Blade. 18:40 The real reason why it took them an hour to do the job and not 30 minutes. 19:00 This little bit lines up nicely with how Bana was a salvager star one point too. It would make sense that he would hide the keys to opening his private chest in a manner that only he would know how to do. Maybe? I always took that as him smacking his lips. 20:45 Still not as frustrating as the suction breath attack that Fillavents do in X. Looking at you, Trueno. 22:07 Another way to pass the time: increasing dev levels by talking to people or buying and selling, getting yourself more immersed in the world of Alrest. 23:00 I believe White chests guarantee quest items while decreasing levels have less than 100% chance, chances being relative to the quality of the haul. 24:05 Well it would be how you get the Filament Globe, but... 25:20 Was that intentional? Because that’s really funny if it was. And if it wasn’t, it’s still hilariously ironic. 26:54 Isn’t the Krabble one at the start of the game the shortest quest, even on NG+? 28:18 Driver Combo AND Blade Combos too. If you only need to get to a Blade for a Blade Combo finisher or at least the next step in the chain and that’s all you need them for, it’s much more likely to have that Blade handy when you need them as long as you don’t use any Driver Arts with them. 29:22 I think also hearing him say things like a Nopon in that voice is particularly funny. He sounds so serious but he’s still susceptible to Nopon speaking habits. 30:12 How many channel points has Emile won in bets I wonder? 32:13 Yup! People who have the Expansion Pass have this game so much easier than people who played the early versions. 33:05 Salvaging runs in both families it seems. You’re still at a lower level than quite a few monsters in Temperantia. 34:50 It’ll be a while before that happens. The point gap between B and A rank is 130 points. For reference, it took 120 points to get to B. 35:10 There’s no new quests that start in Gormott as far as I’m aware, at least none that can be completed now, but we’ll see. Oh wait, it’s Marvelous Mercenaries.

“Why would Bana set off an explosion to kill himself, he would never do that it doesn’t fit his character.” This is what I thought when he set that off
As for Bana being alive and running on the wheel, I just assumed that would happen since that’s exactly what happened to him in XB1. And besides, had Bana died, we wouldn’t have gotten the best sidequest chain in the game.
The placement of that sentence made it sound like Tora was ordering poppi to knock Korra out or ordering poppi to knock him out so he could sleep. Reminds me of one of King Bach’s vines titled “How thugs go to sleep”where they say they’re tired then they’re knocking each other out

Since you were salvaging a bit in Mor Ardain, I wanted to make a comment regarding your previous video where you mentioned that salvaging wasn't an effective cash cow. While I agree that this is true before you get to Mor Ardain, things change when you reach Alba Cavanich because you can purchase Gold Cylinders there. With only 5-10, salvaging at Port Anangham, I make more than enough in treasures I can trade back in for 2-3 times my purchase cost for the cylinders, easily making 100K in about ten minutes. It's a good way to kill time when you need to wait for Merc Missions, plus it jacks up the development level a ton between all the cylinders you're purchasing and the treasure you're selling.
Well remember Nopon are notoriously durable between all the slapstick with Riki, Tora and his dad and grandpa only getting nosebleeds from failing core crystal awakenings when it killed that Gormotti guy, and the constant threats made against Tatsu, Nopon are basically walking punching bags of suffering.
i watched chuggaa's xenoblade 1 lp over the past week for the first time since around 2016 and it was interesting seeing a different nopon character named bana who, while unrelated, gave context and acts as a sort of parallel to chairman bana's role in this game. it continues the theme of XC2 having a lot of parallels to the first game despite not directly following it up (also i loved how "a tragic decision plays in the climax of XC1's quests involving bana. it made it way more memorable to me)
"There is one other, but you're extremely unlikely to have it unlocked." - in reference to Nopon Wisdom I felt called out by this because I'm exactly at the same point in this game because that blade he referenced is the first one I've finished the affinity chart for.

“Man this Tricolor bowl is delicious, how did I only find this out now?! Reminds me of when I saw that Titans head explode when Mythra used her power”
*3 seconds later*
“Man this Tricolor Bowl is delicious, how did I only find this out now?!”
Chugga I just want to say that you have inspired me to do content of my own, you are a beacon of what it means to be a content creator here on TH-cam. I love you man and I appreciate now that I am doing stuff of my own more than ever how hard it is to do daily uploads, so I cannot express enough how much I love your stuff! Keep up the good work man!
3:47 should’ve brought the lock picking lawyer to help. He would’ve gotten it open in no time
"Good morning everyone, this is the LPL and what I have for you today is a locked chest made by sentient, fluffy beings know as Nopon, now even though its locking mechanism isn't something you usually find in manmade locks, I believe it'll be no match for the lockpick Bosnian Bill and I made..."
Bana spent years getting money as the chairman, only for it to be spent on orphans. What a wonderful nopon.
Things Emile Missed:
- -And likely still will miss when he gets to Niranira’s quest because this one’s rather cleverly hidden if you don’t mess about with the camera- EDIT: 4:44 He found it.
Aman
Well this didn’t age well since he found it
@@Cliffordlonghead If you’re trying to get brownie points after the way you’ve been behaving in the comments, go bug someone else. Or better yet, go away, we don’t want any.
The red one at about 5 minutes in? Or is there another one?
@@thezygardiantrio9434 Thought you were talking about the Blade for a moment there. I can admit when I’m wrong.
I'm sure Malos and Jin are giving Pyra and Mythra a comfy place to relax while Rex and friends are going on the majesty that is the equivalent to a filler arc... SIDEQUESTS!
Also, nice to see a new Rare Blade. Time to go over them.
Vale (Or Mei in Japanese) was designed by Yasuomi Umetsu, he's best known as the creator of the Kite anime film series and Mezzo Forte. Kind of neat if you ask me.
I find it funny how in Xenoblade Chronicles, episode 91, Chugga was dealing with Bana the Betrayer. While in this one, we learn about Bana
Woah, did you die!?
Bana: Sadly yes, but I lived!
6:04 "Trade me! don't stop running in your hamster wheel while you do it! TRADE ME!"
Episodes without [RAREST BLADE] Making HER Debut in this LP: 91
I miss Morag's *woop* sound when she spun her arm, anyone else?
3:18 Considering last episode he said he liked ...you know. Really poor word choice.
Yeah...
I’m man enough to admit it,I like [Something adult here].
In fairness tho, he did say he liked anal.
Raiding his ass-ets takes a whole new meaning after last episode and "The comment"
Funny thing about this, thanks to informants, you do not need nopon wisdom lvl 3, just talk to the informant in Fonsa Myma and Argentum.
Did anyone else laugh way too much when Tora said "Poppi, initiate rest mode!" after that long merc mission was completed? Because I sure did
The placement of that sentence made it sound like Tora was ordering poppi to knock Korra out or ordering poppi to knock him out so he could sleep. Reminds me of one of King Bach’s vines titled “How thugs go to sleep”where they say they’re tired then they’re knocking each other out
Bana went from my favourite villain in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 right to favourite character in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 in one video... The end of the saga put him in the running for favourite character in all of Xenoblade.
Kora's dialogue on returning from the merc mission explains why it took so long quite handily.
She also has a really long dialogue bit for if you game-over that I don't think it finishes before the screen fades out.
Swole Bana, the ultimate post game super boss because you let him keep running on the wheel.
Once again, Vandham is the MVP, always having our backs even in the afterlife
"It's always the dogs that fake you out." Flyann: First time?
In case someone doesn't like faming core crystals: You can save scum with the console's save back up and restore feature.
Are you sure? I was pretty sure the game saves as soon as you open a Core Crystal specifically to prevent save scumming.
@@tatltails3923 ZorroDood means using the switch's CLOUD save backup and restoration feature. Turn off automatic backups, make a backup save before going on a core crystal bonding spree, crack open your core crystal reserves and restore the cloud save if results are unsatisfactory.
Sounds like an obnoxious procedure
@@nyxmiloq4167 You want to know what else is obnoxious? Farming Core Crystals from Krabbles in the first Mor Ardain Salvage Point.
@@Yojimbo16 could be. I dropped 「HER」 while waiting for Ursula to return from one of her merc missions, which is the most boring experience I've had in the game. I never farmed Core Crystals, only bought Legendary Cores with bonus exp in NG+. By the time I got 「HER」 I was only missing Adenine and Perun, which I both droppen within the 99 Common Cores I had. I regret nothing.
No DLC yet though
What does Bana call his grannypon? Bana-Nana!
Hey Chugga!
What? He always tells us "hey".
One of the most iconic TH-camr intros ever. Also no, you aren't the only one. I thought Bana died horribly in a point blank explosion. He was closer to it than Niall was like Emile said. It's probably all that fat and fur that cushioned him.
14:58 A few seconds in and she's already my favorite blade
Would have made more sense if Gorg was Zeke's Blade while equipping the Brachinite Chip onto him cause only the Bringer of Chaos can wield the Axe of Chaos!
“We could use ol’ cassie here” me: *suddenly attentive* who called for me?
The thing is that Nopon have a certain ability that surpasses all human understanding. As long as there's something, *anything* left for them that is at least mildly amusing, they could be thrown into the sun and still come out fine. That's the fearsome, raw strength of being comic relief.
instead of saving pyra and mythra rex continues to do sidequests this in the anime world is known as filler arcs
Specifically the Bleach Filler Arcs.
@@Yojimbo16 I was thinking naruto filler arcs but bleach works too
@@vanguardplays3418 I was thinking Bleach specifically because they did Filler Arcs right in the middle of ongoing Canon Story Arcs and then snap back like nothing happened. Also both this playthrough right now and Bleach are postponing the main Story of rescuing a busty Redhead to do some stuff irrelevant to the main story. lol
@@Yojimbo16 okay I see what you mean plus both series have the main characters use weapons that also have spirits attached to their weapons
@@vanguardplays3418 With one having a lot more Waifus lol
Really missing the slide whistle he gave to Morag's arm
I love that he said he'll never forget how to spell 'suppression' because he had in the past and yet, he manages to misspell it in the mission name anyways
Regarding the rarity of the rare blades going "up" as you collect all of them, just to give you an idea how bad it is:
I have 100% the game (including NG+ content), have every weapon fully leveled for every character, have farmed certain bosses to get massive stacks of legendary crystals, and even going through several hundred of them (not even counting regular rare crystals), I still don't have Vale. She's the only one I'm missing. And that's INCLUDING the 0.1% rarity blade, all of the NG+ blades, and etc.
It's...rough...
She was my first one
ouch
Silly Chugga, Bana survived with his final secret weapon, *plot armor*
Seeing Tora getting hit like a beach ball at 20:36 just had me laughing with tears in my eyes omg that was hilarious!
After giving Bana's money to an orphanage-
*Loud Bana Noises*
Rex- Anyone hear something?
Everyone else- Nope.
All of a sudden, a cold chill runs down the Mayne Driver's spine.
I remember opening that door Bana is in thinking it’d just be that one nopon that you can find before that quest, only for my jaw to drop to find out he didn’t kill himself back in Chapter 6
1:58-2:05
I Don't get it;
What's Wrong with Characters in Video games having Pictures of themselves hanging next to their bed?
Two words:
Narcissistic much?
it implies they do *inappropriate things* while looking at said picture in bed
@@andrewd.8560 How is THAT even implied?!
It's just a Picture of themselves in clear view of, and within close proximity of the bed. . . How Can One come to the conclusion that they're turned on by their own picture without being given any Context to said Conclusion within the game itself?!
Man, don't you hate it when you're working on the docks, sun's shining, boss compliments your work for the first time in Architect knows what, and then some salvaging twerp carelessly brings up a giant monster. Just one of those days.
I just realized that, in both let's plays of XC1 and XC2, Emile made episode 91 about Bana
Hey Chugga. Just wanna thank you. Because of this Let's Play, I've been considering getting back into Xenoblade 2. So thank you for that!
Holy poop, just only now i realized that this is the 91th episode, i wonder if we are almost at the middle of the game.
The Merc Mission was 69 minutes long...
Nice
THe long explanation after the hour mission was great as sort of a backwards excuse as to why it took so long
14:50 Say hello to the first Rare Blade I ever pulled.
25:10 "I will never forget how to spell "supression" after that really embarassing time I misspelled it."
...Who's gonna tell him?
moment of truth, next part will be the part to see if my prediction is right
So he only has a Prince, Anchor Arms, Massive Snowballs and [RAREST BLADE] to awaken...
No chuggaa I also thought Bana was deas and was really suprised when I found this quest.
i watched chuggaa's xenoblade 1 lp over the past week for the first time since around 2016 and it was interesting seeing a different nopon character named bana who, while unrelated, gave context and acts as a sort of parallel to chairman bana's role in this game. it continues the theme of XC2 having a lot of parallels to the first game despite not directly following it up
(also i loved how "a tragic decision plays in the climax of XC1's quests involving bana. it made it way more memorable to me)
33:15 I love how enthusiastically chugga started that sentence but had to quickly shift tones once he realized his grannypon was dead lmao
"There is one other, but you're extremely unlikely to have it unlocked." - in reference to Nopon Wisdom
I felt called out by this because I'm exactly at the same point in this game because that blade he referenced is the first one I've finished the affinity chart for.
So happy that you finally pulled my favourite blade today!
They had fun when adjusting Vale's... physics.
Hi, this was nice to watch during a power outage.
I understand completely at 20:35, one hilarious thing in non turn-based RPGs is when characters are hit by multi-hit attacks. I never got tired of hearing the Thunder Flare or Stone Rain attacks in Star Ocean 3.
"Stop that! Ow! Ow! Hey! Stop that! Stop that!"
Btw you just need to Threaten Him and then Scold Him. For one way.
