For all his effort in hiding his ethnicity (contact lens, eyepatch, hair dye, etc.) he kinda slacked off on the name department.

8:30 Y'know, Blades never aging brings up a whole lot of weird questions with how they're meant to be treated. Like, should adult Blades Like Perceval technically be considered children since they aren't even a year old? Should children Blades like Electra be denied adult privileges their whole lives, even once they've lived to the human equivalent of adulthood? If Ursula decided she wants to chug a glass of beer to cope with the war crimes she's witnessing on this journey, should we deny her that? I feel like the semantics here are even more confusing than Fire Emblem's dragon lolis.
They aren't human so they shouldn't be held to the same standards humans are held to, probably. The drinking age, for example, is a thing because if you drink before you're ready, it can cause developmental issues. But Blades are fully "developed" once they come out of the core crystal. @@randomnpc445 Full plot spoilers, ho! In the end, it turns out Blades aren't actually fully developed. Eventually, they grow to become Titans. Does that mean that before becoming a Titan, a Blade; regardless of how long since the last time their core crystal was bonded with, is still effectively in a larval, or child stage of their life? I thought about this exact same thing when I got to Annastasia’s. There’s an NPC there who talks about drinking, and he says something like “Oh, are there minors present? Never mind.” That got me thinking if younger-looking Blades like Floren or Electra should be allowed to drink because they’re essentially ageless and will never “grow up”. Kinda like Sprite from Eternals.
I can imagine Zeke and Rex hearing that and Zeke just grabs her writing utensils and Rex burns them while Zeke holds the woman back from trying to save them.

The love potion (φίλτρο αγάπης) is a special concoction that tastes like bull crap and makes people find *anything* be more likeable then the taste, therefore allowing people to fall in love very easily
I guess Owain must have died during someone's classic run and was reincarnated in Tantal as a writer. Ah, but don't be fooled! The Flora of Alrest isn't a book about flowers. It is and I quote the NPC: "A book about beautiful girls based on flowers. Its very popular with men." She either writes a yaoi doujin of Rex and Zeke or a shojo manga fueled by fanservice. I love this NPC.
To be fair: if that TRG playthrough of Super Mario 3D World is any indication, he's more like Grog than Scanlan when it comes to knowledge on human reproduction.
Things we learned today: 1. Apparently Zeke/Rex is a popular ship in Alrest, too...which is creepy because one of them's underage. 2. People just can't comprehend the idea of a woman wearing stereotypically masculine clothing in Alrest...which is dumb.
@@TheMistermastermario I mean, in that case I can see it, but you could also argue that Pyra isn't human... At least as far as I know. I haven't seen the rest of the game yet.
@@TheMistermastermario Blade ages literally don't matter because they can functionally live forever and never get physically older, plus Rex and Pyra are about on equal terms with each other in terms of worldly knowledge and emotional maturity. It's about as unproblematic as JRPG ships get, tbh. Zeke/Rex is literally ephebophilia. That’s a whole mountain of of problematic elements.
@@TheMistermastermario I think that depends on how you interpret a blade's age. Pyra and Mythra are hundreds of years old, obviously, but their actual behavior most of the time is comparable to someone in their late teens/early 20s. Not too far from Rex. Also, Zeke+Pandoria and a later spoiler seem to indicate that blades don't really care about their actual age, just how they currently exist.
To be fair, Morag's voice actually sounded even more masculine in Japanese, so combine that with her androgynous appearance and I think people can be forgiven for not immediately recognizing her as female. Heck, even the fans weren't totally sure of her gender back when trailers for this game were first coming out, since she was only shown visually without a name or voice attached to her at the time.
Why not ship Zeke with Morag instead? They're both party member adults at appropriate ages, aren't they? They do have a fair share of funny dialogue interactions together, and their personality differences make it better. And I'm not sure if Pandoria truly has any romantic feelings with towards Zeke, despite what characters in Heart-to-Hearts scenes like to tease her on about. P.S. I've *never* mistaken Morag for a man once since first seeing her in her introduction cutscene.
I like to think that if you get the “Flora of Alrest” option she just doesn’t want to throw away all the material she got from you so instead it just randomly has some parts of INTENSE ADVENTURE SECTIONS ALL JUST TO RESEARCH PLANTS!!!
One thing I think you should buy ASAP. The Bassani Deeds, from the Bassani Butchers in Mor Ardain. It only opens up after getting a Merc Mission contract, but considering you seem to have finished all available Merc Missions, its unlikely you don't have it yet. What it does: lets you hold 10 more of each kind of booster. It means you won't have to spend booster as soon as you reach 5 just cause you don't want to miss future ones. I dunno if you somehow missed it in your notes, or was simply planning to do it later, but... I'm gonna leave this comment here, just in case. Big LP love from a fan!
She's the reason I started questioning my sexuality. And all because of one cutscene. But I love her. She's so beautiful. And now she made me a proud panromantic, demiromantic, asexual.

I don't think his design is bad by any means. If anything, I just feel like it's a little too... generically cool? Like, there's nothing overly interesting or creative about his design, he's just a cool, anime, sword boy. His scarf is awesome though. That scarf is what sells his design to me.
I really appreciate that you're so vocal in praising Morag, Chugga! I completely agree, she is easily my favorite character in XC2 and a really cool female character in a video game!
Honestly how much emphasis Chugga just puts in all of the voice acting for even the NPC characters I would love if Lets play for a cause nights could be D&D with Emile as dungeon master!
Considering how the devs for hollow knight would often connect areas if they got close to each other and being able to cross there made sense to make the world feel more deep and connected and open. A similar tactic was probably used here, the devs saw we had reached an area underneath theosoir and decided to add a decoration to connect them at least in purpose
I've gotta say, adding the quests name in the description, with their timestamps, is a great addition for rewatching or just wanting an info while replaying on my own.
And this game continues to prove that everything Nia says is gold, even when it's not scripted I'm honestly surprised Mesulia didn't at least try to sleep with Rex/Zeke after calling them gorgeous and inviting them back to her hotel room, and I played this sidequest already. Ok tantal is full of creeps, one girl is getting off to killing animals, another is lying to people so she can drug a guy into loving her. And then there’s the king’s right hand man who just looks really creepy.
Just to put Here: Pretty sure the Tantalese are Pure Tornan descendants. Just cuz they weren't actually Addam's descendants doesn't mean they aren't Tornan. And saying they aren't cuz they don't look like Lora who is pure Tornan or because of their markings also doesn't make sense. The markings are likely just a traditional marking they make on themselves to represent culture or status. Note Zeke has no Markings, or the other Tantalese attributes Chuggaa mentioned last episode, Zeke possibly erased the markings when he left Tantal for same reason he wears a contact and eye patch. Additionally, Little Lora from cutscenes depicting her awakening of Jin does actually look like the Tantalese Child model. Now for additional Spoilers for DLC, Please do not read further if you have not Played Torna the Golden Country, and Plan on doing so or Hope to Catch Chuggaa's possible LP of it after 2. Final Warning. The Tornans don't Seem to have specific hair colours, Addam's Uncle Zettar has Brown Hair (Like the king of Tantal and many Tantalese), While Addam's Father has Bluish Hair. Addam himself has hair that is a light silver similar to Nia's hair. The Tornans actually do have a similar kind of accent as Tantalese people. A southern English type accent. Addam Himself actually sounds quite a bit like Zeke. continuing on Addam, he is implied to not be pure Tornan. This is one of the aspects that result in his Uncle not liking him and his high standing with the people. Lastly the final aspect that implies the Tantalese to be Tornan is during the epilogue of Torna, Zettar is seen doing certain things which would connect him directly to Tantal reveals later in this LP. The people of Tantal are very likely the descendants of Zettar and his Loyal Militia, Much Like the descendants of Addam and HIS Loyal Militia are implied to be elsewhere. Additionally regarding the names of the characters from Tantal being more Greek inspired. This could just be from 500 years of time passing in isolation? We don't know what Tornan Naming conventions would have been if they remained. It is possible Greek sounding names became a trend at some point in their history and simply stuck. Dunno why Chuggaa said that not being Addam's descendants made the Tantalese non Tornan descendants last part, and I have nothing against it really it was just eating away at my brain, and I had to get this comment out of me. Specially since I consider Torna the Golden Country my favourite Xenoblade Game in terms of combat and how the narrative is woven so just in my mind. Whoever ended up reading this comment thanks for your time, and have a nice day lol.
Equipment that allows healing on certain attacks is my favorite type. Used some a lot toward the end of Bowser's Inside Story DS. That speed-falling glitch reminds me of both the moon jump glitch in Breath of the Wild and the Superswim in Wind Waker, in that it makes you go way faster and eliminated fall damage.
Hopefully he realizes this later but the glass chip gives 43% crite rate (i know its bad auto atack as well but id give it a try in my own time) so almost every hit would heal rex i think
Things Emile Missed: -Falling down the ledges at the Pillar City Ruins as Emile started to before realizing that’s not where he wanted to go, you want to drop onto the ledge with the orange Pippito and then onto the ledge with the collection point at the end (the same one Emile warped away from 7 minutes into the last episode). From there look below for some thin ice. What you want to do is jump off your ledge towards it but swivel yourself in the opposite direction so that you fall on the snow instead of the ice. Your reward for platforming and precision is a locked White Treasure Trove (sitting next to a black Pippito. How ominous). Unlock it with Level 7 Lockpicking and receive three Ureilite Chips, a Rare Core Crystal, and nine thousand gold with some change. You can continue falling down this way as another way to get down, passing by and through the Old Gelegemos Gate (a very popular spot for Blade quests; at least three of them have objectives around here), but note that unless the weather is foggy, you’re going to have to contend with Level 80+ Tirkins when you get to the ruins so take a leap of faith early before you get there, wait for foggy weather, or watch the patrol patterns and try to sneak by them. Might be worthwhile as there is a treasure trove sitting pretty in the ruins in the Tirkin’s supply area. Believe it or not, we haven’t had an area as open as Tantal’s Lower Levels since Gormott (and frankly won’t get such an expansive area again in the main game for better or worse). While places like the Stomach of Uraya or the Wastes of Mor Ardain seem expansive, they’re either deceptively narrow in the case of the Stomach or they “wall” areas off with sheer cliffs and have routes that loop back in on previous areas. The Lower Levels are a vast field of white, and unfortunately while there are some landmarks, treasure hunting in this area’s not as easy as it was in Gormott with little in the way of more obvious indicators apart from dead ends and odd structures, and sweeping the area takes a lot of time. However as you’d expect from a mid-late game area, this is also where the troves have better loot as we’ve seen with the numerous white chests Emile’s found so don’t give up. Just be mindful of the weather and the enemies while doing so (the enemies in ravines are particularly powerful (Levels 70-89) so proceed with caution, even during Wulfric’s quest). 2:40 The affinity increase at least synergizes well enough with FTL. 6:55 Monokuma, when’d you get in this LP? 8:18 Ethical issues of using love potions aside, take solace in knowing that Cannadea “fails” in her attempt to use the potion, so she comes out the loser in all this (the potion is a success, but her would-be lover saw another in his sights when the potions effects hit and fell in love with someone else). Don’t do or use drugs kids, aphrodisiacs included. 10:50 Really? Interesting choice given Floren’s all about the heals whereas Crossette is a better attacker, but we’ll see how it goes. 15:10 Lady, come back to us. Reality beckons. 18:25 TBF, Mòrag’s clothes are similar to a man’s, and Tantal’s isolationist. Not like they’d heard of Mòrag before unlike just about everyone outside of Tantal and their mothers. 19:05 The Flora of Alrest by comparison is a Common tier literature pouch item that lasts for 2 hours and increases Special damage by 12%. It is the cheaper of the two books (half as valuable), and both of them increase trust by 21 points so of the two Flora is the more efficient for Trust grinding (though there’s far mor efficient still). Both books also are not constricted by your normal pouch item inventory limits without the deeds to expand said limits. If you’re looking for 100% pouch item collection, you can’t do this in one run and need to play New Game Plus to get the other book, but both books are not required to get the store’s deeds. You’re missing Astrology Made Simple, which only becomes available after clearing a Tantal Merc Mission available at Dev Level 5. 24:37 Ah, so this is the zombie slide glitch I’ve heard so much about. Even with a life hack though and skipping cutscenes, it seems to be impossible to cross the rest of the drifts fast enough to make it in three hours. 25:25 Seems like it’s only practically in Tantal though, else speedrunners would probably skip the first Garfont Village visit and head straight to the stomach. 27:02 It’s all about curiosity and how you interpret things. Looking down in N64 007 Goldeneye is one of the best known speed running tricks out there, and the person who discovered it only did it because they took “look down your nose” as literally looking down at the floor.
You probably already know this so I'll just mention this here for newcomers: Speedruns in Xenoblade 2 can't skip story flags. The game literally will impede your progress past certain points unless you at least initiate every required cutscene for the main game. That's more the reason why you can't skip specific areas of a game and go straight to the main story objectives that might show up afterward.
Been meaning to try out the glitches in my own time, they look really fun and have incredible potential for comedy (if Roc's animation is any indication)
As an aside, this episode made me realize that tantal women are absolutely gorgeous. Just as pretty as Urayan women and Gormotti women. Maybe even more so.
If it's impossible to get to your goal within the time allotted BY THE GAME'S NARRATIVE, even WITH literal debug features in play, then MAYBE the narrative shouldn't have introduced that time limit! I will complain about it 'til the end of time! Not even the existence of in-universe gay ZekexRex fanfiction will stop me from preaching my truth!
A couple of things to add about Zombie Hover (Glitch done in the video) If you were to attempt to do this in other areas such as Uraya, you have the potential to crash the game. SAVE FIRST when trying out. A very popular character to do it with in the run is Dromarch because of nia riding around on Dromarch, no falling animation when spawned in the glitch, and while in ZH you do not hit story objectives such as with Rex but on Dromarch you can hit objectives because Dromarch.
I’ve found zombie hover tends to crash the game if you use it in the main menu. Also, if you skip travel to another area and then input the code while traveling back, the window of time on the loading screen is much easier to perform the glitch in and you only have to do it once. I think the speedrun doesn’t leave the area since it costs some time.
It is a lot of fun seeing what you can do with ZH, you can find a lot of cool things, and clipping through the ground just by slidding. Doing it from a quicktravel menu (Fast travel, buffer for 2 seconds then go) is fairly consistent.
10 years difference? One king of sweden married a 18yo, at the age of 50, that difference is more than double my age, Tiny detail, that was during the 1500's
In this video I like to said good job Gregtendo64 who ever come up with that glitch for speed running Xenoblade 2 did outstanding. The funny fact is you can die instantly by pressing each button on the controller, and jump off the cliff, and survive 1 HP. That is incredibly genius. Tell me was that one of A+Start doing of his videos about this or is it just Gregtendo that done speedrun videos of his channel?.
11:22. If Morag still has Kasandra on, this would mean that Chugga's running a near-optimal element combination that allows him access to almost every single Blade Combo route. I labbed this out back when I thought that was a good thing to have... it may be fun, but as it turns out some Blade Combo routes just aren't worth it.

Welcome to Xenoblade, where game design is centered around doing everything except the main story objective
I do love doing sidequests when a potential friend is about to be executed or when the Bionis is about to get sliced in two.
I would argue you could easily change that to "It wouldn’t be a JRPG without doing side quests when an important story event is happening"

Mesulia's quest is so creepy when Rex is the one in the lead, considering she's an adult, and he's fifteen.
Well it’s probably at least a little better if you go the writing about flowers route.
Then the friendship options make it even creepier.
Meanwhile Pyra/Mythra are over 500 years old.
No, it good
I dunno, sounds like she's talking to Mythra
"like Isabelle tells you your island lacks appealing scenery"
... That hurt my soul, chugga. 😢
Things we learned today:

I think part of the whole Morag being confused for a guy thing also come down to Morag sounding much more masculine in the japanese dub
That and the fact that her outfit design is not traditionally feminine.

One could say that Torna gave us the “Write to Roam” this titan before they completely destroy it.

Ok tantal is full of creeps, one girl is getting off to killing animals, another is lying to people so she can drug a guy into loving her. And then there’s the king’s right hand man who just looks really creepy.
Just to put Here:
Pretty sure the Tantalese are Pure Tornan descendants.
25:57, that’s a year and a half, not over two years.
19:12 you are missing 1 item, Astrology made simple(pretty sure that's the name)
Things Emile Missed:
-Falling down the ledges at the Pillar City Ruins as Emile started to before realizing that’s not where he wanted to go, you want to drop onto the ledge with the orange Pippito and then onto the ledge with the collection point at the end (the same one Emile warped away from 7 minutes into the last episode).
Tantal is just the Jojo region. It's where we learn the most about Gorg, plus it has a quest that's about as gay as Jojo
Must've been an error in Zeke's math. He arrived at 3 hours instead of 3 years.
Is it me, or do some of the Tantalese NPCs look like leprechauns if leprechauns weren't midgets?
