nice IS-f keep it for as long as u can there's less then 4k of them in the country now. also check out high mileage is-F's.... there's plenty of them with over 200k miles, there's even one on lex forums with 340k+ miles on original drive train with no issues at all. those Yamaha V8's with those (snappy quick for the time) 8 SP'd trannies are some good ole Toyota reliabolity. hell, 10-12k for an RR supercharger will put u next to helcats and above, and still run reliably. but I'd keep it mostly stock just for daily fun+collector car eventually
How do you know there’s less than 4k now? I know US got 5118, and obviously some have been totaled and what not and some imported out (I just bought an F that spent 10 years of its life in Japan of all places) but over 20% of ISF aren’t on the road here anymore? That seems a bit much but if you have info I’d love to hear
The Kia may not have a V8 but this is a big slap in the face to Lexus. The fact that Toyota still won't update the IS enough to keep up with the competition is beyond comprehension. And the IS500, despite its glorious V8, is a big disappointment performance-wise. The 3.5 TT V6 from the LS500 would've been more appropriate along with the 10-speed trans, but it's all done in the name of cost-cutting. Step aside Toyota, you're so yesterday news!
lol wut? The Stinger GT is still in the $30k+ range used while you can pick up and ISF for a little over $20k or even under that. And of course a brand new Stinger is going to have more options when comparing it to a car from 08 lmao

I've had a great deal of vehicles ranging from Germans to Japanese and this Kia has been the best and least headache free 400hp+ car I've had by a long shot. You seem to want to talk alot of shit about a brand yet they are creating better performance for less mind you yoh can get a stinger gt for less than an is200t new for new. 😂 keep shelling out 70-80k for a dated car and I'll keep paying down the law on it 👌 always fun showing tailights in a Kia 😂

Elevated Minds what trans do you have? With the 8 speed in these cars I think the tall ratio is a mistake, they really don’t make all that much torque and top of third is about 100mph. I don’t know all the stock ratios available for the newer style diffs that fit the IS but I think it would benefit from something more aggressive.
Elevated Minds ah yeah, makes sense using a 3.27 with a 4 speed. With the 3.77 diff wheel torque in 4th is actually more than in 3rd with the 2.94 diff which is why I’m certain that the IS F would jump out on the stinger and stay ahead from a 40/50/60 roll, I don’t think it would matter. Especially since these cars rev past 7k tuned

S54 - Rod bearing failure (fatal); Vanos Bolt failure (fatal); Vanos hub failure (fatal)...... s65 - Rod bearing failure (fatal), DBW throttle body failure (manageable, but major PITA to fix) ...... S85 - do I even need to start with that one??? thats just engines, I could go on about e46 tearing out sub frames, or e60's smg fails. Just 3 example chassis, each in their own right, amazing cars, and when running the engines and drivetrains are beautiful, but durability is not something they have a chance about using as a selling point. Toyota/lexus far far different story. if we want to start talking about engine designs derived from past success, the heads on that Lexus are designed by Yamaha, same guys who made that ol engine in the 90's think it was called a 2jzgte??? you know the one from that supra car??? /sarcasm see how long that stinger lasts on a JB 5, the thrust bearings on that turbo will not survive with pressure levels like that, if not addressed the engine will be eating compressor wheel in short oder, so forged or not, goodbye. Not crapping on the Stinger by any means, quick car for sure, but i'm not sure I'd be putting it in the same category as a lexus F or BMW M or AMG. a civic can beat an m3 in certain cases, but its still a civic.......

My STINGER makes 274 Kw at the wheels (365 WHP) and 880 Nm of torque.. and thats with NO MODS except a stage 1 tune.
