- The "bazwilili bayeye" dances and drums, traditional ceremony of the Bagika Seba python snakes, near Bujora (Tanzania) . As a major tanzanian ethnic group, the Sukuma people are based around Mwanza and Lake Victoria. Filmed in December 2013

Actually those are Bagunda-they mess around with snakes. One of my cousins wanted to marry a girl belonging to Bagunda. When my cousin went to visit the bride family, he was welcomed by numerous snakes at the door. That was the end of love between the bride and groom. Ten years later he told me: "I was scared of that family. There were snakes in the living room, roof and even the kitchen."

And the Dance and the drums, are sukuma.
I like to code in python but this a whole new level, beautiful traditions there.
Please visit india you will see amazingly same traditions there, there must be a very strong relation between India and Africa.

Bagendo and Bagika......the two great Sukuma dance types. I love my Sukuma tribe. Ha ha ha ha this is the smallest part of it......
I used to see such dance when young. I am surprised the Sukumas have kept their traditions. Humans are humans and they are all the same through out this world.

I very much hate snakes. So, to me this dance is disgusting because of the snakes, courageous because they are dancing with snakes and kissing it even (OMG!!!!!! I'm having a heart attack ----- anyways, I survived), kissing those horrible creatures are also disgusting, and dangerous because I consider snakes are still dangerous even without their venom. Anyways, the rest of the dance is cool without the snakes.
