I have some sideways movement in the small one below. I think its called the idler pulley. The technician said its not a big deal but I feel I get unstable voltage due to this sideways movement. Also makes a lot of hissing noise. More than usual especially after a long drive. Do you think a little bit sideways movement ( left right) of the idler pulley is a matter of concern? The timing belt and water pump have already been replaced some time ago
I have been following you very closely. 2 points I wanted to share about my Skoda rapid TDI 2012, my car shows a check light and the trubo stops working and when I restart it, it's works fine. Secondly the checklight on scanning shows Turbo Pressure Control. So should I just change the Valve or the sensor too.. Secondly I can smell exhaust inside and outside the car. The smell inside the car is only when the car is not moving. It goes away when the car is running. Why is it happening and what should I check
Sir for the MIL indicator i recommend you to get it scanned , because it gives a direction to work in Secondly . Diesel smell is there because the exhaust pipe is facing downwards and when you are at standstill it fills the underside of the car with fumes and then it gets sucked inside by air conditioning , if the recirculation valve is not sealed properly . Just need to wipe the dust of the valve
Sir most probably it can be either tentioner or one of the pullies . Replacement is the only way , it can also be the pully on alternater or ac compressor or its tentioner , properly diagnose it before buying anything .
@@yourDIYneeds I checked the surpentine belt and the noise is from the timing belt and tensioner only bro have to change .. how much it will cost for the spare
Do you recommend replacing only the Timing BELT instead of the whole kit @ 80K Kms on a Vw Vento Diesel? And also replace Water Pump only if the old one is almost rusted instead of mandatory replacement as recommended by VW @ 80K km?
Whistling sound is coming from engine looks like turbo cut in even on ideal also increases with increase in throttle. What my be the causes.skoda rapid1.6 tdi

Bro recently my skoda rapid 1.6 TDI making weird noise from timing belt and tensioner... what should I do now ?

Can I get the links for ur Tyre in this car ?? Was it good ? Any other suggestions brother?
Sir yes , i am using yoko s-drives , they are good on performance but a little on noisy side . Continental Mc5 or UC6 are also good option

Sir i will recommend changing the whole kit , as these parts are designed to have a similar lifespan , water pump depends upon the condition
Sir, where to get this silicon polish in market? Any specific brands
Sir use silicon oil , easy to find from any hardware store
Brooo❤️❤️
nice video, is it possible to know the manufactured year of the timing belt using the embossed serial number of the belt?
Sir , its usually on the packaging of the belt
yourDIYneeds is it fine to replace just the timing belt after 1lakh kms. Or should i change the entire kit
Sir always go for the entire kit , because disassembling it again for just a tentioner or pulley will be a problem as everything has to be done again

Turbo coupler rubber O-ring needs to be replaced , and check you ac recirculation valve for good enough seal

Good to see you again. Very informative waiting for it eagerly would like to know can we check the life of belt by any marking.
Sir , just have to look for cracks and rough edges
the belt component is made of kevlar you will never see crack with belt kevlar
Sir , i had already seen , cracks and seperated belts
@@yourDIYneeds I did my timing belt on my 2012 jetta tdi it was the original one it had 188,322km it was intact no cracks but it was a bit dry but that's it
Water pump breaks before timing belt, and you can't inspect it
It has a metal impeller , so that only happens with the water pump which has a plastic impeller
