Any idea how much boost that P-40 was running? I know they were uprated by Allison sometime after the E model, but even then keeping up with *and finishing before* two P-51s is impressive.

I have always had a soft spot for the P-40... I absolutely loved seeing it finish 2nd! Ha! Have no idea about the boost. Hopefully someone who knows more can chime in.
