A friend of mine wanted to test some new units for his army but he didn't have them, so I said "Well, use empty bases then!". So, I'm quite fine with conversions, haha! Looks awesome mate! Keep at it!
I remember back at my middle/high school there were some kids who played 40k in the school library and when they first started their armies were usually little pieces of paper attached to wooden circles because they could only afford the books to play at the time. (Would have been around 2003-ish) They did slowly begin to fill out their armies though and by the time they graduated they had some pretty cool stuff. (And had gotten accidentally in trouble for some of the models' nudity. They guy they belonged to hadn't even thought about it. 🤣)

But yea, I mean, it's like with Magic The Gathering, nobody's actually forcing you to buy the cards as long as you can play the game :) All about da fuuuun! :D
Nice conversion mate, looks way better than the original LOL. Ad Mech are cool but they definitely have some wonky sculpts. (I’m lookin at you castellen robots).
bought a skitarii squad recently. i feel like the admech could get a bit outta hand because of this. btw i'll link an image to the squad when it's done if you want to see.
My only problem with the Skorpius is that it's a hover tank. I want legs on my admech tanks. Tanks with legs and heavy infantry with tracks it's the admech way.
