I have watched so many of these videos. They all explain the same thing as if every person watching learns the same way. Not a single one has bothered to make a 'walk through' video, taking viewers along the process while they plan out a brand name for a fictitious business. Some times, seeing it being done communicates way more than just hearing the steps/points laid out.
good video but I was looking for tips on how to actually go about the brainstorming process, especially when I hit a dead end (e.g. things i've tried: brainstorming brand attributes, then word lists, looking at synonyms etc.). if you did a video on that, i'd definitely watch it!
how much should one charge for a gig where they have to ideate 15 brand names for a company ? I got this gig and looking for as much insight as there is
It depends on your experience and processes... Some namers charge upwards of $20k.... Brand naming is a detailed process and quite often you will have more than 15 possible names... Be careful to avoid scope creep through the decision making process... Requesting 15 names is a red flag
what do you think about using a very common name for a brand like the word "water" (given it's containing all the brand's values inside) is it even allowed?
Marty Neumier (probably butchered the spelling lol) I've read just about all of his books on branding (highly recommend you do the same) but he mentions numerous times that 4 or less syllables is one of the main attributes of a perfect brand name. If there's more, that's not a deal breaker, but ideally it has 4 or less.

You have to be careful... You have to think of the URL and trademark and consider the sector youre operating in.

Is it advisable to name a brand with a famous movie name ?
It can throw up challenges... e.g. if the name of your brand is Back To The Future... there's be a lot of explaining to do
Good Content
Much appreciated 🙏
Is it ok for a brand name to have three syllables? There should be many examples of such.
Of course... as long as it's memorable

Principles. If your use of language is that bad in the title, how can I trust you are paying attention to anything in the naming? Names matter.
Please get A microphone for him. Can’t hardly hear him but your intro music almost busts speakers we have it turned up so much
