Mario Rabbids may not be the best games ever, but they're really fun and they feel like games that are meant to just be fun and not meant to be blockbuster movies.

And I feel there is so much further and better Souls/Born game can be. I can't wait to see where they go or another developer goes with these games.

Glad it meshes so well after two games. Looking forward to playing this and what future content they release. Seeing as I bought the Gold edition that comes with the season pass.

Now I need to finally get around to the Donkey Kong DLC I've been sitting on for years. I just hope there isnt too much "junk" they've added in between the actual tactical battles. The 1st game was just vapid enough with the exploratory mechanics where it didnt take me away from the gist of the game too much.
I just fished that DLC out of my backlog and I liked it a lot. I'd say it's worth playing on the soundtrack alone if you're nostalgic for DK64. Jungle Joust is an incredible piece. DK is a really fun character because they created level design elements exclusively for him, making him a better "Leader" character than Mario ever was. Thankfully this sequel seems to have ditched the idea that Mario or anyone else Needs to be in your party at all times, allowing for greater party diversity.

But all this sequel promo has me interested in the DLC again. I did hear the DLC is like 8 hours though. A whole nother game basically.
I would love it if Mario + Rabbids introduced more stuff from the larger Nintendoverse in the next game. Getting Donkey Kong stuff in the DLC was great so just imagine how cool it would be to have characters you can play and worlds you can visit themed around Zelda, Kirby, Metroid Prime, etc.
I've never played a Turned Based Tactical game and always ignore those genre games(Fire Emblems, Xcoms etc.) but I really like how this game looks, and at the same time I restrain myself for its genre 🤔🤔😬😬🤷♂️

That was essentially something Ben was going to lead the way on, along with taking on some other responsibilities with reviews. And he did do the Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak review in that format before he left. If anyone else is interested in doing their own VO, they're welcome to give it a shot, but I'm not going to push them to do it if they aren't comfortable. -Bloodworth

@@paulsmith9192 I mean, I agree she should've been offered more, but I'm positive Hale didn't settle for 4k, so I have a hard time bashing the game, there were lots of people who worked on it. I don't deny that I was really anticipating the game, but it seems that there's way worse things going on in the industry that get a pass. Also I think people don't realize that Bayonetta isn't very high budget, it's way less popular than Xenoblade and Fire Emblem at the moment which aren't big Nintendo franchises to begin with.

There is no way Jennifer Hale given her pedigree over decades in both TV and video games would settle for 4k or less. Not to mention shes part of the SAGAFTRA ( one of the largest actors unions for tv film and videogames). If the goal behind that 4k offer with the original VA was to increase profit margins on the game, then why go with the even more expensive choice for the replacement? My personal theory is this is a similar situation as David Hayter when he got replaced with Keifer Sutherland. Where someone either Kamiya or potentially someone at Nintendo (since jennifer hale has done lots of work for them like voicing Samus for example) made a choice to hire her specifically or simply wanted to change the VA and the 4k offer was shrude business tactic to push the old VA out on proper terms knowing she would refuse such a low amount. Another theory could be who ever was in charge of casting made the change on their own and Platinum Games didnt care on the creative front because the english VO is for outside of japan because sometimes japanese game devs are like that and prioritize on catering to the Japanese audience first before Europe and NA

It should not be this hard to get a new tactical rpg. This seems even more unique than the last one.

Rayman is going to be a playable character in the future (I forget if he’ll come with a campaign or if that’ll be unrelated).
Probably not going to affect overall understanding of the game, but you should really play the first game because it's so good
