You completely skipped the part where Sagat actually beats Ryu and the satsui-no-hado actually takes over Ryu for a second. Sagat comes to help Ryu out of the floor. Ryu does a shoryuken out of complete anger because he was possessed and cuts and also burns Sagat on the chest.
PSA for Street Fighter IV: a lot of the story cutscenes from the original version of Street Fighter IV were cut out entirely from Ultra Street Fighter IV due to the dev team being dissatisfied with their quality. Unfortunately, this means that a lot of the more crucial story-driven cutscenes were replaced with more generic ones that have little to do with the main story. This means that if you play Ultra Street fighter IV you miss out on a lot of stuff from the original game including the endings which show Ryu reuniting with Gouken, Gouken fighting Akuma, and pretty much all the endings which depicts Delta Red, Shadaloo, and the other Street Fighters raiding S.I.N.'s complex. In order to see these cutscenes you either need to get the original version of the game or look them up on TH-cam.
Thank you for not skipping over the EX series like everyone else does when talking about SF. Street fighter EX was my childhood that everyone seems to wanna forget. Its low key one of my favorite SF games
Still think the aesthetic of Alpha in particular Alpha 2 is still the best iteration of Street Fighter. Or it could just be nostalgia of my Sega Saturn days. At least 30th Anniversary gave us a perfect arcade port of Alpha 2.
The first street fighter game takes place in the late 80’s. Street Fighter third strike takes place in the late 90's Street Fighter 6 take place in the early 2000's.
@@axevader280 SF IV is mid 90s (94 to be approximate), if Mel (Ken's son) was confirmed to be 3 in Street Fighter III: New Generation, which takes place around 1997.
That was quite a good research and, although I agree skipping all characters backstories and motivations did the video good, you missed Alex's story parts from SF 4 and 5, besides Oro and his training Ryu, which now overcame Satsui No Hado through the power of Nothingness. These would have made it more complete. I also missed a quick overview on Ken's family on SF3 (and *perhaps* a glance on them and C. Viper on SF4, but dunno on that) and situation on SF6 but, again, this was overall a pretty good research and video. Kudos!

@@HolySok Yeah, that one. But man, this video is ultra hard to watch as a native jp guy. Like, what in the world is "satsUi no hEydoh", emphasis on capital letters. Heydoh. Suddenly funky stuff lol It's like the guy making this video never heard the word hadouken in game.
I notice that it's a common thing amongst British creators to pronounce some SF terms this way, like Top Hat Gaming Man. Perhaps it's more of a regional thing
Where do you get all this info? I just got USFIV a couple of days ago, and played through the arcade mode. Before that, many years ago, I played SF2, and maybe 3, but don't remember any story.

tbh it probly will , some season down the line , We got Seth back from Sf4 after some seasons in SFV , I Think they just wanna give JP some time in the spotlight as a villain , Bison will eventually come back ium pretty sure
M. Bison was indeed killed by Ryu in Street Fighter V, but his spirit lives on as Phantom Bison. He is probably searching for a new body to host before returning. I too hope he shall return in Street Fighter 6.
No mention of G, his story, or the potential connection to Q. For a lot of people, G is Q before he had something happen to him, (Project G being a common logical theory.) Many of the same moves, and animations, and even a Q alternate costume.
Is that true? did Ryu Defeat Bison in the Alpha series? I thought it was Guile, Charlie, Sagat and Chun Li who brought him down, along with the help from a few others... Yeah, after looking back at the story, this video is inaccurate. I would venture to say that everything prior to SF5 and SF6 in this video, needs to be revisited.

That's not canon.
@blackout1524 i believe it is. It was in one of the strategy guides for the alpha series
@@zachariahsmith9130 No it wasn't. Even in the Alpha backstory there's no mention of Ryu losing or the Satsui playing a role. It was a fair match.

Parts of SF5 take place before SF3 but some parts take place after SF3. Some character stories hint at that.
Devs recently confirmed it too
Yeah, most of the Illuminati stuff does in the new arcade mode endings, as confirmed by the devs.
@@D3Vlicious So, if I understand correctly, Gill's story (when he fights G and Urien) takes place after the SFIII series?

I think that an unrecognized easter egg is that the final fight series has been tied to the street fighter series since day 1.
