The art, graffities, musicians, people dancing on the streets, parks and the best empanadas :) There is always something going on in that city. And the people! I love Chilians. They are so open, friendly and fun, I lived in Santiago for four months and looking forward to go back soon. You guys made me smile with this video.
Arepas is a meal from Venezuela. Nowadays there are a lots of Venezolans living un Chile. The hill San Cristobal (Cerro San Cristobal) I've heard it's some of the most biggist parks of the world (3° or 4°). Have you visited El Patio Bellavista? There's a place with very interisting restaurants in Santiago. And if you go at night, better! Greetings from Chile 🇨🇱🇨🇱

I'm from Santiago but I 've been living in Berlin since 2016. Even this city is amazing many times I miss Santiago, specially its nice Mediterranean climate, the Andes mountains and the food. I used to go to Barrio Lastarria on Sundays and eat an ice cream at "Emporio de la Rosa"...nice memories. Regards from Germany!

The quinta normal park is actually another WORLD when you go on weekends!!! It's so full of people and vendors and activities for the kids it's just unbelievable how empty it is during the week! My school is actually located inside the park so you probably walked by it!

Chileans from the Nobel laureates have only Pablo Neruda and Gabriele Mistral, so this is an important mural of a well-known artist. Have you been to Valparaiso? if you love street art, you MUST go to Valparaíso, it's a city an hour and a half away from Santiago and it has lots and lots of beautiful street art, it is known for the many hills (42) that form the city, being Cerro Alegre and Cerro Concepción the most famous ones, and its bohemian culture. There's even a "open sky museum" in which you see a lot of art
If you guys want to try the best and most organic Chorrillanas(fries, diced meat, fried onions and fried eggs) La Barrica Celta is the place to go, in la florida its a bit far from dt but it's a must visit.

August is still winter in Chile, and Santiago is wet and cold in winter. Temperatures are between -2 and 18 Cª. You may even have a snow day in some years. September is the start of spring. Still cold, especially after sunset, windy, but nice and green during the days. Temperature between 7 and 26 Cª. Little rain. Independence day celebrations are between 17th and 21st of September. Many chilean flags, armed forces parades, plenty street food, happy people everywhere.
Really nice video! Not many people take the time to visit the chill and arty Barrio Yungay. Try to visit the "Cementerio General", our largest necropolis with massive mausoleums and their eclectic architecture (from pyramids to Aztec temples). Just get off the metro station called "Cementerios" and you'll be inside! My favourite non-touristy place in my city. Keep up the good work!

I think this one could have been made by Mel Brooks comedy. You started out in a so called nice quiet neighborhood that had bars on the door and windows and then you get a hair cut with a gun with the scissors and combs. It would have been a spoof to have you two talking about how nice it was and the people as you are both being robbed and taking your money and jewelry and shoes and still saying how nice the people and neighborhoods are. I just saw all of that so easy and funny to me. Thanks for the escape.
Most places down in South America have bars and fences. It certainly doesn't reflect how things are today... perhaps it's a sign of how things were in the past. The gun is a prop at the barbers. Nothing more.. I just had to leave that in as I knew people would comment on it. It's an incredibly safe city if that's what you're wondering about. There's areas like this is almost every city we visit and they are always full of locals and tourists. Williamsburg is just one of the bigger ones - Trevor
I think this one could have been made by Mel Brooks comedy. You started out in a so called nice quiet neighborhood that had bars on the door and windows and then you get a hair cut with a gun with the scissors and combs. It would have been a spoof to have you two talking about how nice it was and the people as you are both being robbed and taking your money and jewelry and shoes and still saying how nice the people and neighborhoods are. I just saw all of that so easy and funny to me. Thanks for the escape.
Most places down in South America have bars and fences. It certainly doesn't reflect how things are today... perhaps it's a sign of how things were in the past. The gun is a prop at the barbers. Nothing more.. I just had to leave that in as I knew people would comment on it. It's an incredibly safe city if that's what you're wondering about. If u guys love street art, you definitely have to visit Valparaíso, it’s like almost two hours away from Santiago, but its worth it, i promise 💛

Delightful Travellers In the second floor the museum has collections of mostly Mesoamerica, South America and the Caribbean and in the basement a whole exposition of exclusively Precolumbian art found in Chilean territory.
For me was one of the the best in Santiago. And I visit lots of them over there years ago. They might be other good one now. Cheers from New Zealand!!
