Fairly new player and I only now know that it's highly recommended to have a high block rate. Had to respec my zealot and went from 25% block rate to 75%. Thanks a ton llama. Learning a lot from this series and definitely making the learning curve less steeper!

I'd love one for each character since it helps with skill point allocations and deep explanations. I've beaten nightmare from sratch with 3 characters but hell was too difficult. I've been away from this game for 3 years so this helps.
Hell is tough and I'm not gonna lie the hell video is a tad rough lol. BUT, I reiterate many times that things are much different if you spend time farming items for you and merc :)
@@MrLlamaSC I'm confused. lvl 20 Charged Strike dmg is 1-322 and 7 bolts, but does the bolts dmg go up with each lvl you put into it or it just stay the same like lvl 1 Charged Bolts 2-4 light dmg ?? :t
Really love it when you have more time to interact and just chat. Would love to see more characters but I think it would be hard to strike a balance between casual and tutorial. Love the idea of troll normal playthroughs. Melee Necro, Fire Claw bear, physical spear zon etc.
I’ve watched your speed run videos over the years as I have been a long time Diablo player. I’ve always played on battlenet and gotten rushed through the game but I created an Amazon and am creating my own runewords and progressing through the game on single player for the first time ever and I’ve never had this much fun playing Diablo. Me and my girlfreind have been playing d2 for about a year now and hot damn is she the luckiest charm. Found so many cool uniqued and set pieces (2 tal armors in the last 3 days) as well as 2 ohms, 4 guls, 5 ists and countless other mid runes
A little late but thanks for these. With a 7yr old daughter taking most if not all my attention these vids gave me an appreciation for single player... Im back to enjoying D2 thanks to you sir.
It is nice having guides that don’t assume you are starting at level 70 with perfect Eth Titan’s and CoH. While it is great seeing what we are working towards, anyone with half a brain can figure out how the build works once it is already decked out. Great to have a “here is how you get there.”
You also need pentrate and critical strike - but these two are endgame max. This build has his Orgins from a time we didnt know much, just a few runewords and cube-recepies are known. We also couldnt reset ,our points so we planed the char in advance. So good to see the game is still on. Thanks for the video and have a lot of fun .
This is really nice! The pacing, the more casual-friendly tips and tricks and everything. Its much easier to follow and watch compared to the speedruns if im being honest. Really hope you do a play-a-long for each character.
would love to get a break down of which mercenaries you should get for each character, with a focus on why you would want a certain merc for each character. With an emphasis on the endgame (reasons you want "x" merc) and what endgame gear you would want to get for max boost to each character and a balanced merc that does good damage and boosts your damage and your chars weak points or points that make your char even stronger.... love the vids man keep up the good work!!

All these rune words are completely new to me! - I never had the recend patches because I think I was relying on AOL cds from Blockbuster at the time for internet access - Might have had my own dial up but even if I did I know it took 30 minutes to an hour to download a song on dial up so I never had all the patches, at least until 2004(5?)ish when I got EQ2 and played that for a while and got DSL just for that.
3:58:52 max out charge strike and lightning fury. 4:01:22 finish nightmare. 4:14:07 start saving points for Valkyrie. 4:34:52 put points into power strike.

Nightmare for me was always easier than normal. With basic runewords (spirit sword, stealth which you used in part 1 and etc) it always felt incredibly easy.

Hey so I started D2 when I was 11, played till roughly 14-15. I've played every toon, done countless Ubers with my clan, and so forth. Highest toon I had on Us West was a 97 trap sin. I was so fuckin proud of this toon. I used to boast about how much lightning damage she could do, about how many +lightning damage charms and items I had. Only to watch your videos in 2021 and find out that those boosts actually did nothing to my traps -.-
3:17:50 lmao text to speech surprisingly relevant. MF amazons are now called capacitor amazons, in the mega Farad range (completely ridiculous capacitance).
If you have maiden javelins you can imbue them at Charsi, then use the cube to upgrade them to ceremonial javelins. Should help until you can get TR. It is also possible to upgrade them to matriarchal, but at this point in the game you are not likely to have the stats to be able to use it.
Actually, if there is a single target in front of you, switch to spear and use power, or charged strike it works wonders. Also, Physical attack on spear is nice in case you need to kill a lightning immune like the cow king.
You can also do "Edge" (Tir Tal Amn) on a 3sox bow. The 320-380% extra dmg to demons means 320-380% extra dmg to final act bosses! And just love the level 15 thorns...

It's pretty easy to find a 2 socket shield, and nightmare countess can help get the runes to make Rhyme runeword shield, should reallly help as immunity to frozen is so amazing.
I got this game again after watching the Normal and now NM play through and Amazon is my favorite character. Haven’t played since ‘04. When should you be upgrading your bow, I have Zephyr and wondering when I should respec and what should I do to upgrade my bow
Is there a reason you don’t get a lore helm? I had extra runes after making Peace so I just decided to grab a lore as well, mostly for the +1 skills, light res and the mana/kill. I was using the 60% fire res helm you suggested in normal but I found a 40 fire res amulet so I’m at 75 fire 75cold 55light altogether after equipping the Lore. You probably won’t see this but either way thanks so much for all the guides over the years
I watched the whole first part. All this information is so valuable! I was thinking: Is there any way you can write down to us (or just here) the runewords you intend to be building? I tried a bit to do it but I think I keep getting it all mixed up, never really played around with runewords before so it can be very confusing :-)

Question if you have time to answer (I know this video is 3 years old) I’ve found tons of beginner and end game tutorials but I’m around level 35. So far I’ve only seen ppl adding to VIT after a touch to strength to equipped gear. I know end game I need 150 strength and 120 DEX to equip gear. When should I start adding points there ? Do I wait for a NM/Hell respec? Sorry I just don’t want to have 209 VIT and all a sudden need 200 points to add to DEX/Strength. Ty so much for your content !! Binge watching it atm!

@@MrLlamaSC First of all, I'm following you for a wwwwhiileeee, I want to say that you upload always great content and provide a lot of entertainment, please keep up doing it! Second, Last Epoch is in BETA so there is not a TONS of content, but it kept me (old D2, Grim Dawn player) for over 70hours and growing. It has a lot of things you mentioned in your feedback streams - all items matter (no matter the level or rarity), crafting is not overcomplicated like in POE, visuals are not blinding (like in POE), there is a lot of character customization and choices that are irreversible (so you need to reroll character if you want to try different specialization), you can't just use all skills and master all skills at the same time... The only thing missing is the fact that there are cooldowns on some of the skills ;/ But give it a go at some point, I just wonder what is your opinion.
I am watching the series and playing as amazon in same time ... maybe after dacades I will dare to finish the game on hell difficulty just because your incredible work showing me how to play. Now I have a question ... you started nightmare on lvl. 26 ... isnt it too soon? ... in normal you show us the leveling guide for best xp but you started nightmare act 1 on lvl 26 .... but 37-43 is best.
If you have max pierce and razortail, and then max guided arrow it will hit and pierce through then go back to hit again. Not the most damaging but it is hilarious to watch.

you should do a marathon with another speedrunner. 3 any characters continuous. use plugy so that items can be used by next character. Items obtained on 1st run will influence the characters on 2nd and 3rd run.

All these rune words are completely new to me! - I never had the recend patches because I think I was relying on AOL cds from Blockbuster at the time for internet access - Might have had my own dial up but even if I did I know it took 30 minutes to an hour to download a song on dial up so I never had all the patches, at least until 2004(5?)ish when I got EQ2 and played that for a while and got DSL just for that.
3:58:52 max out charge strike and lightning fury. 4:01:22 finish nightmare. 4:14:07 start saving points for Valkyrie. 4:34:52 put points into power strike.

I just beat diablo 2 nightmare for the firt time ever with javazon at lvl 65. Thank you for your guides and your content. Not sure if triying hell or triying hammerdin
Nightmare for me was always easier than normal. With basic runewords (spirit sword, stealth which you used in part 1 and etc) it always felt incredibly easy.

Hey so I started D2 when I was 11, played till roughly 14-15. I've played every toon, done countless Ubers with my clan, and so forth. Highest toon I had on Us West was a 97 trap sin. I was so fuckin proud of this toon. I used to boast about how much lightning damage she could do, about how many +lightning damage charms and items I had. Only to watch your videos in 2021 and find out that those boosts actually did nothing to my traps -.-

The nostalgia is real. You are way too good at this game, it’s ridiculous.
If you have maiden javelins you can imbue them at Charsi, then use the cube to upgrade them to ceremonial javelins. Should help until you can get TR. It is also possible to upgrade them to matriarchal, but at this point in the game you are not likely to have the stats to be able to use it.
Actually, if there is a single target in front of you, switch to spear and use power, or charged strike it works wonders. Also, Physical attack on spear is nice in case you need to kill a lightning immune like the cow king.

You can also do "Edge" (Tir Tal Amn) on a 3sox bow. The 320-380% extra dmg to demons means 320-380% extra dmg to final act bosses! And just love the level 15 thorns...
that aura is excelent to deal against act v charger zombies and dolls too :0

It's pretty easy to find a 2 socket shield, and nightmare countess can help get the runes to make Rhyme runeword shield, should reallly help as immunity to frozen is so amazing.

Is there a reason you don’t get a lore helm? I had extra runes after making Peace so I just decided to grab a lore as well, mostly for the +1 skills, light res and the mana/kill.
I was using the 60% fire res helm you suggested in normal but I found a 40 fire res amulet so I’m at 75 fire 75cold 55light altogether after equipping the Lore. You probably won’t see this but either way thanks so much for all the guides over the years

Question if you have time to answer (I know this video is 3 years old) I’ve found tons of beginner and end game tutorials but I’m around level 35. So far I’ve only seen ppl adding to VIT after a touch to strength to equipped gear. I know end game I need 150 strength and 120 DEX to equip gear. When should I start adding points there ? Do I wait for a NM/Hell respec? Sorry I just don’t want to have 209 VIT and all a sudden need 200 points to add to DEX/Strength. Ty so much for your content !! Binge watching it atm!

@@MrLlamaSC First of all, I'm following you for a wwwwhiileeee, I want to say that you upload always great content and provide a lot of entertainment, please keep up doing it! Second, Last Epoch is in BETA so there is not a TONS of content, but it kept me (old D2, Grim Dawn player) for over 70hours and growing. It has a lot of things you mentioned in your feedback streams - all items matter (no matter the level or rarity), crafting is not overcomplicated like in POE, visuals are not blinding (like in POE), there is a lot of character customization and choices that are irreversible (so you need to reroll character if you want to try different specialization), you can't just use all skills and master all skills at the same time... The only thing missing is the fact that there are cooldowns on some of the skills ;/ But give it a go at some point, I just wonder what is your opinion.
What's the best merc for javazon ? Holy freeze ? Is it true that shatter mod don't drop loot ?

I am watching the series and playing as amazon in same time ... maybe after dacades I will dare to finish the game on hell difficulty just because your incredible work showing me how to play. Now I have a question ... you started nightmare on lvl. 26 ... isnt it too soon? ... in normal you show us the leveling guide for best xp but you started nightmare act 1 on lvl 26 .... but 37-43 is best.
If you have an Io rune, should also go for Jah and Pul rune to make dream. Bit too high level to use atm though, but nice to have.

If you have max pierce and razortail, and then max guided arrow it will hit and pierce through then go back to hit again. Not the most damaging but it is hilarious to watch.

you should do a marathon with another speedrunner. 3 any characters continuous. use plugy so that items can be used by next character. Items obtained on 1st run will influence the characters on 2nd and 3rd run.
