Good to see more videos Eric. I've always drilled a hole at the intersection of the cuts on stringers to eliminate a stress point. The semicircle left after the two straight cuts are made distribute the stresses evenly and reduce the likelihood of a crack there.
Hi Eric. I am glad you are making videos again as I always have enjoyed them. For 12V cordless, I have also transitioned to the Bosch 12V Max (LED lights, impact driver, drill/driver, and jigsaw). The tools are a good value, lightweight, and have good battery life (with replacement batteries that are actually affordable). I hope Bosch brings the cordless router to the US market. Steve
Hi Eric, glad you are back making videos. I've learned so much from watching. I love seeing you use other brands that we mortals can afford. Ha ha! Any chance you could do an updated shop tour? Thanks.
I see there has been a transition from Festool to Bosch. Good for you on the sponsorship (?). I've enjoyed your videos and I for one am happy to see you putting more out for us novices to watch and learn.. Keep it up.
Thanks for sharing. Looks solid and just what I need. Question. What purpose do the legs serve that you put on the inside and bolted down. I noticed you covered them back up with the corner piece you cut off.
I have a miter saw setup with a Kapex. But I used my Bosch because it has a better cutting capacity. I'm still not sure if I'm going to keep the Bosch or keep the Kapex. Which is why I haven't made a dedicated miter saw station for the Bosch. Makita has a new 12" sliding miter saw coming out, not sure when, but it looks promising. So I may sell both the Bosch and Kapex for the Makita.
hmmm, decisions decisions, which toy to keep, tough one that, 😏 I have a Kapex120 mounted to a bench & couple of other makes big n small that travel to work with me, The Kapex is an excellent saw but reviews & people on a joiners FB page I'm a member of make them appear not to be long lasting. Makita will last you a lifetime 👍
The Poplar Shop Much appreciated. You feel like the plastic is going to hold up long term? I have about a dozen tools I would like to convert with this.
I don't need a bigger table saw. The Bosch table saw has 15 amps. Plenty of power for my needs. Plus, I don't want a large table saw taking up shop space. Ya know ?
No that is a SOLID step stool. Great work. By the way, what is that power cord attachment you have on your trim router and sander? Is that an aftermarket attachment? - Cay
Very well built!! love it
Love this design! Thank you for sharing!
Do you have plans for the items you make? I would gladly pay for them!

Thanks, Steve. I'm with you buddy. I hope Bosch brings the 12v router and planer over to the states.
That’s built like a tank nicely done.
Thanks Thom
I have the 10” version of that Bosch miter saw and love it

Thanks, Tom. Just to clarify, I am not sponsored by anyone. If I was sponsored I would state the sponsorship in the video and description.
very nice video, thanks !!
Nice Festool Dust Extractor!

Hi, Solid steps 👍, I'm curious as to why you don't have a place for your mitre saw or a stand for it, it looks like you have a decent sized workshop?

Great video, thanks. What’s the cord attachment, where you remove the stock cord from the tool?
The connector is a Neutrik powerCon TRUE1 connector.

Love your workshop, but how come you don’t have a bigger table saw???

Thanks, Cay. The power cord connectors are Neutrik Powercon True1 connectors. Aftermarket. I'm sure it voids any warranty.
Awesome! Found your video on it. Curious why none of the big brands do this, cuts down on the number of wires dangling around big time.
Thanks,
Cay
Good job. 👴🏻🇦🇺
Your shop looks like a real manly shop now, not that Barbie shop you use to have. Just kidding bro!! Your festool shop was cool.
LOL !
