Thank you so much for this JAW DROPPING clip. I work in the concert business and I'm child of rock and roll but must say rock never produced anyone who could come within ten thousand miles of this guy's talent. Stunning, jaw dropping performance. To see him live was to be humbled and mesmerized. The greatest talent this country ever produced. Literally a genius.
so.... he sings in english..... the song titles are in chineese.. and he is in paris... where they skeep french.. interestingly multi cultural.... nice medly.. love sammy.. thanks for posting :)
Sammy was not just an ok actor,I think he was very good. He was ALSO on Broadway. Strange though I never cared for Mr Bojangles or Candyman, his 2 big hits. Just didn't like either song, but I loved Old Man River, which had me in tears, The Birth of the Blues, etc. Those songs mattered 2 him. Gosh, sorry for responding 2 a three year old comment of yours. You are probably so over it. Sorry.
Mr. Pervis Johnson below said no one else has the balls to sing with no band for 7 minutes. There were and always will be, plenty with the balls, but they were missing something else so everyone left the room. No one moves a muscle, coughs, or barely blinks when Davis does this.
I agree. Sinatra is great in a special way. But it's comparing oranges to apples. Sammy could DO IT ALL! Sinatra defered to him, it was very unusual for white entertainers like Sinatra to "hang out" or "sponsor" African-Am entertainers. Personally, I think he was greatest of 20th cent! I just saw Jackie Wilson & there was another rare, extraordinary talent too huge to define.
Mahahahahah. Muahhahahah. If you were to say that to the ones you mentioned, they themselves would have laughed at you for your huge, unbelivable, unforgivable ignorance.
Yea, nobody can replace this great performer, soo natural yet soo entertaining! Love the man!
A more talented man never lived. Rest in Peace, Mr. Davis.

Sammy Davis, Jr. is undoubtedly The Best All-Around One Person Entertainer of All Time.
Fantastic medley, especially the songs from West Side Story. A great performance from a master!
Definitely one of a kind. We'll not see the likes of Sammy again.
Theulmagtha Vingott of Mongolia who performed from 1202 to 1213 is the greatest entertainer of all time. But Sammy is a close second.
Miss this extraordinary talent....listen to him sing with passion when I need a lift!

@comradet0m ... and Dean Martin should put out the cigars too. Both should have more years of life and we would have more material to see, watch.
IS THERE ANYMORE?

so before his time, 1000 artist with voices 110 times better than his could not do what he did.
oh well
All the drugs and liquor he used and it's the damn cigarettes that killed him.
There was no record, write up or anything said that Sammy was on drugs. It was cigarettes that made such a great talent to be gone too soon.
Before rap !!! Sam with only a drummer.
no one like him
