At 10:00, on Monday’s we had SWAT and Wednesday’s Baretta, we rounded out the week checking out The Six Million Dollar Man…. Good times…
Barretta was the most realistic and coolest. The song was all over 1970s. I started watching reruns of Mannix and Canon on Amazon and it brought back so many memories
THIS THEME (along with a few others ) .... is stuck in my head FOREVERMORE!!!! And i'm glad and happy to have been born where and when i was. I miss 1970's/80's TV.

Hi. I'm not just saying this..., I understand you. Listening to these tunes... Baretta, Taxi, Kojak, Starsky and Hutch, Banacek, Hill Street Blues, and for the UK.., Tales Of The Unexpected, The Two Ronnie's, Rising Damp, Butterfly's, and too many more to remember. I think it brings us the comfort and stability of our childhood when all was good and easy. Family was all present, alive and in one warm full house. I too listen to these tunes once in a while and the emotions flow. You're not the only one.
Baretta was my childhood hero. I wanted to be like him. I ended up as a Special Agent of the US Air Force Office of Special Investigations. Often working undercover in various places in the world. I'm retired now. What a life it was!
Thank you for your service, it’s a really tough job. I hope you are enjoying your retirement! My brother was a cop for 30 years and he saw some really horrible stuff, I don’t think he ever got over it. He passed away last year.
Hearing this song brings back good childhood memories. As a kid growing up in the 1970s Baretta was one of my favorite tv shows. I really believed what this show stood for. Just in the opening theme song alone life lessons were being taught - 1.) "Don't go to bed with no price on your head." 2.) "Don't do the crime if you can't do the time." 3.) "Don't roll the dice if you can't pay the price." 4.) "Don't run your feet down no dead-end street." 5.) "Don't do me dirt or you're gonna get hurt." 6.) "Don't run away until you hear what I say."
As a small child in the mid 70s, every time I heard this song coming from the living room I knew where I could find my dad...on the recliner in front of the TV.😉
I was just a baby back in the 70's when this was running on ABC. but I do remember my parents watching this. and having me and my brother's sitting on the floor in front on the T.v. days when the whole family watched T.v together, in ONE room. these days, families DON'T gather in ONE room to watch T.v anymore.

@@Mister_Listener Robert Blake was acquitted in his criminal trial. There wasn't enough evidence. So I'm not going to blatantly say he did the crime based on his civil trial, because those cases require little evidence for a conviction. That's why I left the question open, but you're free to believe what you want
@@Mister_Listener Sure OJ lost his civil case, but Casey Anthony won two civil cases--one against a witness that defamed her.--and the second brought against her by the nanny. So does that make public perception of Anthony's guilt any less valid? That's why civil cases are a poor measurement of a person's guilt. Decades often pass before the real perp in a case gets caught. Just because they haven't been found is not reason for claiming the accused did the crime, especially when they've been found not guilty in a court of law like Robert Blake. If I didn't have questions about him, I wouldn't have brought Bonnie up in my original post. But I'm also not going to state a claim of guilt based on lack of evidence that jurors felt was needed to convict him.
