Hey Emmdotfrisk! I know you probably won't see or comment back on this comment, but I just came here to say that today is Shohei Ohtani's birthday (7/5/24)! Happy birthday Ohtani. I can't believe that both Ohtani and the Pawapuro series are 30 years old! What a coincidence! And I also came here to tell you that a mobile game called Jikkyou Powerful Pro Soccer will be ending its services on September 30th, 2024. Konami announced this news 3 days ago on the official pawapuro channel. The game first released back on December 7, 2016, making almost eight years after its launch and only a few months before the Switch was released. I was sad to hear this as I hear this game is pretty great and it never got to chance to shine outside Japan. The only time this game did release outside was in Hong Kong China with traditional Chinese texts, showing that Konami was willing to release the game outside Japan. And unlike the mainline Pawapuro titles which had sports licenses such as the NPB, this game had no official licensed soccer teams or people likeness, so this game would've had no hurdles in releasing outside Asia. Plus, soccer is one of the most popular and well known sports in America and in Mexico, where it is called Fútbol, is considered a very very huge sport and big deal, so I know the game would have been a huge success there. But Konami decided not to for some reason. Oh well, here's to hoping that Konami release Eikan Nine Crossroads in America since it has no NPB license and it is also coming to consoles (Switch and PS4) possibly this year, so it might have a greater chance of success and more likely to be localized. Give it to us Konami!
