    I enjoyed your review my friend! Even tho Some ppl would say it’s long. quite frankly I like that you detail the ins and outs of the whole car Kudos to you! Thanks for a very informative video....bought a third car as a spare which is a 07 MkV Jetta! Huge German VW Fan! Have a A4 as my Vehicle and wifey drives a Q5! Jetta as a third car makes a sweet trio not to mention they are all black!! Thanks again!

    I'm thinking of purchasing However I do have a few questions. How smooth does this car go over bumps? Does the air conditioner release a weird smell since it's older? Is the a charging station/dock and does the car have bluetooth/aux available?

    my dad bought a 06 jetts for 198 bucks. the lady who drove it rear ended a truck i put a rediatior support bent the hood down and got new headlights and the things looks nice again. has 171k miles and since my dad was the mechanic that worked on it since the lady bought it with i think 80k on it he knows its been a reliable car and has been maintained very well

      Nate Eller LoL the same thing happened to me. I rear ended a truck that decided to stop in the middle of the road and I had to replace the support, headlights, etc etc but it looks almost normal again I just have to find the grille

      +J.C. C. I think it was close to $1000 the first time we had it replaced....most shops will tell you the transmission needs to be dropped to replace it. We recently traded this car in on a Tiguan.

    I love this gen Jetta. However, I could not deal with light bulbs continuously burning out, high repair bills and just the overall high maintenance of the car no matter how much I love it. Some good friends of mine have a 2002 Passat wagon 1.8t gls and it's such a piece of junk. I know that mk4 Volkswagens are known for being problematic but it's just so bad. It has 191k and you have to turn it over a couple of times for it to start. The sunroof has the typical electrical problem these all have where it goes back and fourth.You have to put your foot into it just to get it to move because it takes off so slow. The a/c doesn't work. Headlights are always burning out. The heated seats don't work. Then the water pump went out and it cost $1000 to replace it with parts and labor. Meanwhile my 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer ES has 285k and it's still rolling and runs and drives great. I've heard worse stories about mk4 Volkswagens Though. I love Volkswagens but it would be stressful owning one.

      +Billy William Honestly this car held up pretty well considering how hard of a life it had. I'm more of a Japanese car person but Volkswagen does build SOME solid cars. My mom's 2007 Rabbit hasn't had any major problems or ever left us stranded in the 90k we have owned it. The vehicle that replaced this is another Volkswagen and thankfully it had a 4 year/48K mile warranty.

    Tips for burnt bulbs on the 2006 Jetta TDI.... I've Owned one now for eight years and the best way to avoid changing light bulbs is buy them from the VW dealer trust me I've changed all mine once in eight years. For some reason aftermarket bulbs and Volkswagens don't mix. lol My trunk lid has a key hole next to the licence plate so, I'm not sure why yours doesn't?

      Classic Volkswagen decontenting. They removed the small things as the years went on. The 2005-2006 were generally better equipped.

    • @Jakeman21642
      @Jakeman21642  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you found one of these that’s still alive do not buy it. You might as well buy an old S class or something because it’s going to be the same amount of maintenance. All of the Volkswagens my family owned treated us terribly.

    • @NOTQUITLIKEKK

    My 2006 Jetta had a lot of problems, headliner peeling off, headlights fog every 6 months, lightbulbs front and rear had to be changed every couple of months, a/c stop working, vacuum pump leaked, a/c fan stop working, windows switch peeled, transmission computer failed, etc.

      The Jetta is for a sure a compact car....very obvious when its parked next to my Accord which is actually a midsized car. Also I'll pass on blinding everyone on the road and not passing state inspections with some rice junk headlights.
