I was wondering how to get the cover off to test the battery for the positive terminal. Thanks for showing me - now I can put a multimeter to it and see if the battery is going like I think it is. When the car stops/starts it sometimes flashes a few dashboard lights (like parking brake released) but the car runs fine. The car turns 6 years old in April so I am sure the battery is going since the warranty is only for three years - after 6 it has had a good life. This is very helpful to take the next step once I determine for sure I need the battery (99 percent sure I need one).

This video helped me so much. I couldn’t figure out for the life of me how to get that piece with extra stop start stiff off. It was so tight it didn’t feel like it was just hooked. I was ready to take the whole car apart haha

I did this but I am getting no power at all. The battery is fully charged, I know that and the remote battery is good so what could cause this. Is there a fuse somewhere that could have blown to cause this? There is a small fuse near the positive terminal but it is fine. Also I dont believe the alternator is the problem because the car hadn't been driven and the battery was dead and after trying to charge the battery it got an f01 fault code and the battery was 5 years old so I assumed it needed to be replaced. Thanks for doing the video!

Check your fuse box in the motor compartment. You will have to get the owners manual to find out which one if for the starting system.
