They should at least bring some food with them if they knew that the host wont have much food. At least rice/flour/sugar/dried food would be a blessing to them living up in the mountain.

I hope these people who were kind enough to house and feed this bunch of hikers and film crew were compensated handsomely for their generosity in allowing this film to be made and the expense on their part in feeding this bunch. It's interesting that the main priority for any group of people is always to first build their "house of worship" around which everything else revolves upon.

thanks a lot for core team for making this wonderful documentary in serene region which is almost unknown to many outsiders like me. while it's a visual treat to watch mountain people & their lifestyle but one has to look into their eyes to understand hardships they go through on everyday life (22nd min while looking at her eyes, it almost made me cry, it's just too emotional)
i don't know whether it's my selfishness that I want these people to follow there traditional lifestyle, but my other side says they must come out and live a better comfortable life. am always pretty confused on this.
anyways, lovely documentary. lots of love to Nuru's papa and mama :)

What a fascinating and deeply engrossing documentary! Such a pristine but desolate area; awe inspiring silence of the snow clad mountains. I can not even imagine how it would feel to eat only a porridge made of rice, milk, butter and salt, with no grains and green leaves. No vegetable curries, or fruits and nuts, to accompany their bland, staple food. Their diet is even more sparse and meagre than the austere diet of Jain Digambar monks. And yet these mountain Sherpas look sturdy, healthy, with rosy cheeks. Even the toddler has cherubic, pink cheeks and dark, glistening eyes. Not a single person looked thin, under fed or emaciated, which is quite an accomplishment. That is perhaps so because they are so small in number, unlike the over-populated countries with an abundance of thin, sickly, emaciated, starving children with hollow cheeks that we see in so many documentaries about African and Asian and South Asian countries. Thank you very much for uploading this informative documentary. I enjoyed watching it.
