Looking good, Andrew. I'm truly a sucker for the Elitebook line of laptops. That performance is simply awesome. It's reassuring to see potential for gaming level performance with good thermals and decent colour accuracy in a business laptop. All that and LTE to boot. Sounds really good. Keep up the awesome work 👍🏾.
It would probably take like 5-6 years before you see widespread adoption of these laptops..intel, too a certain degree, has the upper hand in reliability and software support.
Thanks Andrew for the superb review. Looks like HP is the only manufacturer, offering two upgradable memory slots in their thin & light business notebooks unlike others offering completely soldered ram or one soldered module. Even their 13.3" 2-in-1 Business laptops like ProBook x360 435 G7 and EliteBook 835 G7 x360, coming with 2 ram slots. Any plan to review those 2-in-1 business laptops based on Ryzen 4000 series?
All major components (memory, wi-fi card, SSD) upgradable with all metal body ✔️ Removable bottom without needing to remove the feet ✔️ Light and powerful, with a nice bright display, great battery life and black keys ✔️ Well done HP, Nice review Marc! Thanks for your hard work. ✔️
Seems like a great PC for the money. Like the easy access to the insides and the great upgrading capability once inside. Camera and Mic are good. Excellent display. Great review as always.
Nice. Can you please test the $1700 HP Envy 15"16GB 512 ssd rtx 2060 4k touch oled 6 core intel to the 8 core cpu-8core gpu 16GB 512 ssd macbook Pro 13". I could not find any comparison on youtube. I think this is a great comparison, both performance wise and price wise, although of course the Macbook pro is smaller and lighter.
Hello, I found the 400 nits display version of this Elitebook at €1050 and it seems a really good price. The only thing I'm afraid of is the thermal design: just one vent and one heatpipe. In your opinion, is it enough?
Nice looking laptop....very premium build...Love the Matte display. In noticed one of your negatives was "No memory card reader"...what is the difference between that and smart card reader as this laptop has a card reader, right?
I thought no mention of a smart card reader and thought he said sim card reader .... isn't that for 4g or 5g connection ?Sorry tired and will come back later on and watch again !
@@Justchuck69Thanks for responding...maybe he meant no SIM card reader but at @9:40 he list "No memory card reader" in the negative category. Early in the video he shows that the laptop has a fully SD card reader.
Andrew, another very good review. I agree with you about the 16X10 aspect ratio. Again a 720P camera, how difficult is it to get to 1080P? I am not a big fan of the barrel pin charger, would like to see other ways of charging. Can you recommend any new 17" laptops with USB charging? One comment, when you highlight an area on the laptop, could you put an arrow in to point out that area? Will you be testing any more All-In-One desktops in the rest of 2020? Thanks for the great work, the studio is taking shape very nicely. Stay safe. '
I'm concerned about the thermals. Comparing this to the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 with Ryzen chips, this HP has a single heat pipe with a tiny fan compared to the beefier dual-fans on the Lenovo.
What about the Thinkpad T14? That can be premium, same chip, high specs. Mine’s on the way. Edit: Apart from the metal design, it has all the ticks you gave this laptop. Maybe more, with affordability for the specs.
i got the exact model in your video... The SIM card slot is there .. i put a T-Mobile phone number Sim card and nothing , how i can enable or finding out if is possible to used any sim card network, this work like a unlock , global phone versions ? I'm so lost....
good review mate but bit of a hard sell at the price, even though it is aimed at more business users. e.g. Lenovo laptops with 4800U processor are better, and 4600u is close enough. better 2560x1600 screen, also with similar color gamut values.
Premium top of the line with amd ryzen. Definely this or a thinkpad over the dell xps anyday. Many ryzen laptops are cheaper than the more expensive Intel ones but has better performance
@@FadyAbdelsayed is it pavilion gaming? Gaming laptops have dedicated graphics card. (ex: gtx / rtx series, NOT mx series. mx series are close to nothing for gaming.) Bad battery 53wh vs yoga slim 7 - 61wh only matter what laptop is more robust nothing else. My humble opinion slim 7 just made plastic hinge and that is the only issue
I missed the most favourite part of your usual reviews, the Spec sheet right after your intro.

The laptop does have a smart card reader (a key card for securtiy reasons) and a sim card slot. But it is lacking a SD card reader.

This does charge via usb c as well
It will be perfect with middle/scroll button for the track point

No memory card readere, but a smart card reader???
The track point needs middle button like what ThinkPad has
HP has some BS with the pointing stick device. Pointing stick is only available on elitebook non-x360 800-series. Go figure

Check if your Elitebook have a plastic line across the back of your screen, it's the LTE antenna
Sim Card Slot: Wait, x86 laptop has this feature???
I think only ARM like Qualcomm for Laptop is supported this feature
Yes you can have cellular connectivity if you configure with one
I don't know why but your video doesnt seem like 1080p quality its like at 720p resolution when set at 1080p

Yes

How do you measure the color gamut?
I'm not Andrew, but...
To measure screen color coverage, we use an external device such as Spyder
