For the cost of living you forgot to mention Hawaii. I live in Honolulu and I am renting a room in a house for $750 a month including utilities. So I checked out apartments in the Henderson area and for damn near the amount I am paying for a room I could have my own apartment so I plan on moving to Henderson, NV soon. Plus it won't cost my mom a whole lot of money to come and visit. I am excited to move to Vegas because I noticed that there are some shows that are coming such as Janet Jackson is getting a residency there, and many others and I am also looking for a job as well.

Came from Denver last July, my 2 bedroom 700 sq ft apartment in Denver costed the same as my 2000 sq ft house 2 stories plus 2 car garage in a brand new neighborhood. Living like a boss wit my mini mansion. 👌💯

I think your assessment was very accurate....I went to college in Las Vegas and lived there 4 years...moved away and then back again 9 years later.....left 2 years after that move and then moved back 9 years later again and stayed for 6 years....moved away again and now its been 12 years since I have been away....can’t seem to get it out of my system....moving back September, 2020 for good....something about Las Vegas.....maybe it’s because I can get any kind of food that I want at any hour of the day and night...who knows

I keep hearing how hard it is to meet friendly, down to earth people in Vegas, for a few obvious reasons, but I currently live in a very uptight, transient, and unfriendly place so how hard can it be? I’m used to people around me moving every few years and as an ex-Army family, we don’t hesitate to build relationships anyway. It just means we have friends all over the world! :) I like to get involved in my community through volunteering and activities so I feel I’d be OK meeting people. I’m a friendly introvert who only needs a few good friends anyway. ;) I can’t wait to go hiking and exploring! Is it really that awful to build a friend group in Vegas? I wonder if that negative perspective comes from people who are leaving their hometown or more “stagnant” places for the first time? I’ve moved a lot in my life and found my current place (DC area) the hardest to make and keep friends because everyone moves and life is so hectic/stressed here. We plan on being in the Vegas area for at least 3-4 years, to start. We want to live abroad for a bit, while we can, so we’ll leave for a bit but would love to be able to love Vegas enough to come back to. Your content is great!

Trust me u will get used to the heat, i can't lie it is very hot during the summer but the rest of year is pretty nice. It does get a little cold though.

If you are not a gambler, I would not recommend las vegas. I have a house in North las vegas which I bought It n 2005. My son and his wife and 4 kids live there and I only sleep in my house one time. Most of my relatives are gamblers and i am the only one not gambling. The only thing i like in vegas is there is no crv for water. Its great, lot of opportunity, its just like anywhere else. There is more black people in the south than out west but there is a good amount of African Americans in Las Vegas.
Yea, they dont pay as well as they do in NY, but the cost of living is dramatically less. Also you still may be able to find a really good paying job here. There are a lot of options.
Theres one lake. Which is too hot to fish during the day time. Its limited to the fish u can catch. You have to buy a pass jist to get into lake mead which is 40 bucks. Theres hiking but like I said its so hot in the summer that I wouldnt reccommed it. Theres a couple local lakes but they are nasty and u can only keep 3 fish a day. Im a midwest boy and if you like nature I would not reccommed it. Only thing vegas has is the nightlofe
It's not easy. Lot of transient people and visitors here, but with that being said i found my wife here so it just depends. There are tons of social things to do here so you can definitely meet someone but hard to meet quality people honestly.

Tons of nursing jobs, just depends on what aspect of nursing your looking for. There are more than enough hospitals and medical facilities where you can find a job easily.

If you are not a gambler, I would not recommend las vegas. I have a house in North las vegas which I bought It n 2005. My son and his wife and 4 kids live there and I only sleep in my house one time. Most of my relatives are gamblers and i am the only one not gambling. The only thing i like in vegas is there is no crv for water. Anyway maybe one day i will move to pahrump 5 years from now for i will be 80 years old then. I wanted to be close to my kids my kids. good luck to the people that lives in las vegas. There are a lot of applicants, but Vegas has tons of jobs. So if barback doesnt work for you. I can definitely see you finding a job in many of the other industries the city has to offer.

Its great, lot of opportunity, its just like anywhere else. There is more black people in the south than out west but there is a good amount of African Americans in Las Vegas.

Yea, they dont pay as well as they do in NY, but the cost of living is dramatically less. Also you still may be able to find a really good paying job here. There are a lot of options.

Vast amount of outdoor activities, hiking up the nearby mountains, the trails, or even Lake mead. Great for outdoor activities.
Theres one lake. Which is too hot to fish during the day time. Its limited to the fish u can catch. You have to buy a pass jist to get into lake mead which is 40 bucks. Theres hiking but like I said its so hot in the summer that I wouldnt reccommed it. Theres a couple local lakes but they are nasty and u can only keep 3 fish a day. Im a midwest boy and if you like nature I would not reccommed it. Only thing vegas has is the nightlofe

It's not easy. Lot of transient people and visitors here, but with that being said i found my wife here so it just depends. There are tons of social things to do here so you can definitely meet someone but hard to meet quality people honestly.

Naw we have buses and there is a rail to get around on the strip, but its nowhere near as complex as NY
