Been buying from Andy for 10 years now never a complaint 1000% customer service.
Just by the care in the packaging I can tell that they care for a good costumer experience! not to mention that the bogu designs really cater for the needs of many kenshi outside of Japan.

For bogu I like Titanium mengane (because I am a drama queen like that) and black menbuchi.
I tried white deerskin for kote palms and I agree that not only looks better but feels better too

Not specifically about this Do, what is the loop on the inside of the Do for?
That is always been a question of mine that for some reason I always forget to ask to the experts. I normally seen it use for storage when the bogu is hanged at the dojo or for hanging things like the amulet that comes with this Do. That been said I am planing to have Andy fisher on a live stream so I will ask that question specifically! Thank you by the way for the support.
Nice review. But how would you rate this against the Shogun Blue Label in terms of protection? They are both designed for Motodachi/training and features wide stitching. Does this set edge out in terms of protection?
The Men that I normally wear (which I was referring to in the video) is a blue label men and I love it but is the only piece I can compare it too. And I’ll tell you this, the blue label seems slightly more flexible (but of course it was custom made and the mendare I ordered slightly shorter than average) but the Myrmidon men is much lighter specially the mengane. That been said the protection from the Myrmidon men is much much better, and my only explanation is the stitching pattern but I could be wrong.

I'm currently thinking on buying this set (thanks for the 10% discount code), my actual bogu is a mix of pieces from tozando, the kote are the Shudo - High-protection Tornado Stitch Kote , and the men is a now discontinued 5mm Deluxe Pitch Clarino Men , from what I see, the men will be more protective than the current one I have, but the kote seem pretty similar in design on the protective area of the wrist.
Any thoughts? Would this be an improvement? My current bogu is less than a year old but I want something better.

It seems to me that the men and the kote could be an upgrade. I couldn’t tell you if one is more protective than the other(because I don’t have both) but I think that because of the hardness that the Myrmidon has in between the gaps due to the 4 lines of 3mm could provide extra protection on the futton, I don’t see that happening at the same level with two lines like the tornado pattern. The tekubi (the section between the atama and the futton ) seems to be very similar between both. But you may get some extra durability from the Myrmidon due to the palm not being micro punch and the synthetic leather on the atama. That been said is never a bad idea to have two set of kote (or more) so you can rotate and also send to repair and still have something to use. If you are looking to get a full second set that’s cool but unless you are having troubles with your current men I would tell you to save up and buy a made to order Men (if you can kote and men would be best) let me know if I can be of further help
