Bought a 2014 SLK250 six months ago (used w/ 34k miles) and it’s so ridiculously gorgeous; I’ve been stopped and given a half-dozen compliments on the car in the last month, at least! It’s a piece of art (especially with the top down) and I absolutely love everything about it. I’m 6” 230lbs and am comfortable in the car no problem. It is a little sluggish on Economy Mood but throw on the Sport Mood - kicking on the turbo - and watch the hell out. And, as of late, I’ve noticed the nice, throaty sound on start up. Yes boys & girls.... it’s is pure badassery.
Bought my 2005 SLK 350 four years ago; it's my first ever Mercedes and I haven't regretted my decision. I've replaced both rear window regulators and fuel pump myself. At $11,000 used four years ago, it is the most expensive car I've ever owned in my 61 years . . . yeah I'm a frugal guy. I find that within Mercedes, there are several models which offer exceptional value on the used market. I bought my car when it was just about to turn 80,000 miles, this car should easily reach 250,000 miles if not far more. I'm driving a car I could never afford new, but looks near new, most people are very surprised that it is more than five years old; the Caspian blue paint and clear coat are exceptional.
Excelente video, Mercedes Benz, supremacia em automóveis, sofisticação e simplicidade, um sonho de consumo para pessoas de bom gosto. Amo Mercedes Benz.
Here in UK I have the SLK250 diesel, AMG trim version with the glass roof. I love it to bits - especially on a long run where I get over 60mpg........we have a matching colour E Class estate, too, also with AMG Premium+ trim level - glass roof, air suspension - everything you can think of. Even that gives us in the mid-50s mileage.
@@mariovella285 Best to ask your dealer. Only the AMG Premium+ package has the see-through glass roof. An extra cost is the Magic=Sky version, with electronically-controlled dimming.
for me, i have the 2016 SLC the last version of the SLK the R172 looks by the outer and inner design more close to the ionic previos SL from the 60ties and 70ties. Before I owned for 11 years the 171 „noesbear“, from 2006 to 2017. A good car to drive, never a problem and the car is ongoing rolling in the hand of my brother. But the design was not my beloved taste.
But one thing. You guys really need to re design those shitty seats. i took my cayman and slk to autocross. THose seats on slk is just so so bad at holding me in place also the edge on the left right side really block my hand from moving freely.
No issues like with my slk 350, it's a 2014. But anyone that's had their cabin air filters changed, would like to know where the air freshener compartment is located, so would I ?

My SLK 250 gets positive comments with the top up or down, even for Grandpa its as fun to drive as my ‘59 XK120 was twenty years ago.
what about SLK180 AND 200?

Nice and informative video. Liked the comparison/contrast of each level of the 3 different SLK versions.
Most of these owners are impulse buyers. So trim levels are irrelevant.
Hard to find the 6 speed manual here in the USA, which is a must for me ...
Found out recently that Alfa Romeo actually manufactured a prototype car, the 'Proteo' with an identical retractable hard-top before Mercedes.

They should make a Four seater . It is nicer and elegant if it is longer.

What is the price of Mercedes slk r127 in India??
100.000.00.000.000.000 rubies. You will need the 18 Blizzak tires to go over the pot holes and trash.
Nice car but sorry. The sexiest SLK ever made was the SLK 350 R171
More like a maclaren
