  • If you are looking for an ebike or EMTB you have a lot of options these days thankfully. This new Norco Fluid VLT Carbon is designed to be a lighter weight EMTB so that it feels more like a mountain bike and handles more like a mountain bike. Also, you won’t break your back trying to lift it on the truck or on your vertical bike rack! #norcobikes, #norcofluidvlt, #emtb
The guts of the Norco Fluid VLT is the new Bosch Performance Line SX motor which is a pound or so lighter than their bigger motors. It has less torque (55nm) but because it is a lighter package it needs less power to move it around. It is paired with a 400wh battery that is integrated into the frame so not easily replaced. That was necessary to keep the bike light and strong. You can add a range extender if you have range anxiety or are planning an especially long ride.
The Fluid VLT tips our scale just under 45lb and the top of the line model is just under 40lbs. For most the C3 or C2 version (with SRAM’s transmission) will be more than enough to meet their needs unless you just want the best of the best.
Currently we have a couple at our shop if you’re interested in checking them out and local to Houston area!
For any other MTB needs, come check out our shop in Spring, TX

Who is intrigued with the new Norco Fluid VLT EMTB?! Would you buy one? Who has one and what are your thoughts so far?

Very nice! Great overview. Would have considered if I didn’t already have a Fuel EXe. Looks very sleek, with great geo. Love the nimbleness of the lightweight e-MTBs!

Thanks for the comment. Nice, I like the Fuel EXe and have a couple friends with them. I like the display it has on the top tube which gives you all your data. Yes glad to see there are more lightweight emtbs on the market now. Take care

I am very interested in this bike. I hope more reviews come out soon with some range resting.

Nice! Glad you are interested in it. Yeah, if I end up getting one for myself/the shop I can do some range testing. Stay tuned

Thanks. I was able to give a S4 size a parking lot test over the weekend. I was able to try all four power modes going up a small punchy hill. The motor felt good. It was quieter than my Bosch CX, and the bike with Chester pedals weighed 46lbs. That is 9 lbs. lighter than my Rail, so range is currently my only hesitation.

@@khodges3333 oh nice! That's good you could test one out in person. Nice to hear that feedback. Yeah range is a question. I guess in theory, smaller/lighter, doesn't need as much juice to power you around so should be similar but not sure yet

Whats the average range with that battery?

30-50 miles is the estimate but that depends on a lot of things like your weight, your terrain, what assist level you are in. I am probably going to buy one for myself and can give some better data soon (at least for where and how I ride)
