Who prefers a lightweight emtb over a full power one (one with bigger motor and battery)? There are pros and cons of each. For me right now I'm preferring the lighter weight!
Haha, old man status… yep that is true. Yeah, so many options for riding there now. Much more than when I lived there. Yeah, there is still a battle for places to ride. Back when I started it was bikes vs hikers (we are still not allowed in designated wilderness areas which is lame). So now ebikes come around and there are all kinds of variety of them, fast ones, really fast ones, they’re heavier, etc. I get some of the concerns. I’d say if a normal mountain bike can ride, then class 1 should be allowed (pedal assist only, no throttle). In my opinion even with the extra weight, I do not think they would create more erosion or environmental disturbance than a normal pedal bike, but who knows. Arkansas is more ebike friendly for sure. I can’t think of a place where they are banned

Loved the mountain trail riding
thanks! Me too! Wish I was back there riding now!
Old man status achieved! Utah has some great trails. It seems there are quite a few places now that don't allow e-bikes, which I find strange.
