I just want to give you a hug right now--its gonna be great! Don't overthink it. A good, chatty vlog was just what I needed today. I may need to make a mood board for my laptop. It sounds like fun. Be sure to let us know how Book Eaters turns out--I like creepy but not scary.
It's all going to be great. Mandy told me so. ;) I really appreciate the support and the reminders. I need them extra right now lol. Will definitely keep you updated about Book Eaters.
Such a calm lovely vlog💖 My goal for October is finding more time and actively prioritizing my hobbies. A lot of time after school and studying end up mindlessly scrolling or watching TV. I would like to spend more time writing, reading, painting and writing in my journal. Because even if it takes more energy in the short term, it makes me a lot calmer, happier and really helps my mental health.
This is my first time watching one of your videos. As a MASSIVE Anglophile, when I saw what your books are about, I went and bought one. Just my cup of tea!
Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy it! :) Hope you stick around here. If you are an anglophile, you might enjoy my England travel vlogs from earlier this year. :)
📚🍁🍂☕️ I adore a mood board, but I always tend to forget to make one per-month😰, however a more long-term seasonal one like you mentioned is such a good idea. It really helps set the different moods I feel in all of the seasons that come and go throughout the year. Living in the central valley where it has been 104 the past 4 days… I totally feel your second summer feeling Andrea. Making an october mood board with crisp falling orange leaves and photos of cloudy cold weather sounds so inspirational right now to stay strong until that temperature change actually arrives here in the valley, and with it, those leaves and rain. Goal for october would probably be to save money for my postgrad program I am starting next september! Thanks for the wonderful and cozy vlog Andrea! Cant wait for the new book! 💗
I'm thinking seasonally is going to be what I do next year. I love making them but monthly probably isn't sustainable lol. I'm definitely needing lots of fall vibes, I'm so ready for it to not be summer anymore!
Leigh Bardugo has really improved over time. I didn't enjoy the Shadow and Bone series as much as I did the Six of Crows series, and I enjoyed Ninth House even more - The Familiars is on my list! The Book Eaters was such an interesting read, hope you enjoyed! You really have done so much this year!
I’m a new subscriber - I found you from your “Feeling Vulnerable” vlog. I really enjoy watching your videos in the evening while I crochet or do another project! You mentioned wanting to keep us company during our day, and that’s truly what it feels like! I’m also a teacher (although I teach elementary, so not quite the same! haha) and also love writing. I’ve always wanted to write a novel, and I have several started but never finished one. You’ve been a huge inspiration to me! I started writing again, and my goal for October is to write a little bit every day. :)
Thank you for subscribing! I'm so glad you found my channel. I love that I can keep you company while you crochet. I feel like you all keep me company while I vlog throughout a day, so I always hope that it feels that way when you watch. :) And omg, you're a saint for teaching elementary. I bow down to K-12 teachers, that is not easy lol. I'm so happy to hear that you've started writing again, that's so cool! I'm thrilled if I was even a tiny part of the inspiration to do that. Your goal for October sounds great. A little bit every day will help you finish eventually. I'll be getting back to my next project soon, so there will be some writing vlogs coming up on this channel in October. :)
@@AndreaJSeverson I am excited to hear more about the next project - I’ll be staying tuned! I look forward to the days you upload a video. In the meantime I’ve been watching through some of your previous vlogs. :)
@@HearMyEcho I’ll be starting the next project very soon, so those vlogs will start popping up in the next couple of weeks. ☺️ If you’re watching some of my older videos and haven’t watched the England travel vlogs from earlier this year, I highly recommend them. I had so much fun filming and editing those.
📔📔📔 You always keep me company when I’m getting ready in the morning! 🩷 My one big goal for December is to survive (it’s been a tough year) 😅 And I love mood boards!! Here in Brazil we just started spring, so mine involves lots of nature 🌺🌺
📔My reading doesn't usually change until it gets closer to October. I am already a Fantasy girly, but I will switch to more spooky, not scary, witchy type books, until the end of October than it's back to the other Fantasy novels the rest of the year. October first was an all day plan fest, not that I actually have that much to plan, my life consists of work, read, write, family, but it was more looking back at the goals I set at the beginning of the year. Like you I hadn't kept up with it, and actually forgot in what format I had actually used (digital of planner), definitely need to simplify the planner process, that is what I learned. It took all day to figure out where they were. 😜. Then I had to choose the most important because my goals had gone way off the rail in most areas.
I really need a better way of organizing all my notes, thoughts, and plans digitally. I feel like I'm drowning in sticky notes on my desk lol. Thanks for watching!
I also have to say you make interesting videos and you're always cheerful and chatty and I think you are brave to document on video what do you do from day to day because I don't think I could put my life out there because I am a very private person and only share things with a very few close friends
I've been doing TH-camr for so long, that you all feel like my close friends, so it doesn't feel weird talking to you. I do have to remember that it's going on the internet so there are some things I don't talk about lol.
Times Convert is very different from the others but I still really enjoyed it. It has a lot more of the historical fiction like Book 2 had. And I loved BBO, I can't wait to see that happens next!
I never comment but, I'm reading "Hyunam-dong Bookshop" right now!! I managed to snag the UK cover (the one that's more summery) and you're so right, it's a much better fit.
try notion for planning. I’m really getting into it! user friendly / simple but has a good amount of functionalities too. ✨ I always do a yearly mood board but maybe I’ll start doing a seasonal one!
I really like Notion, but I need something that I own and that lives permanently on my devices and not an external server. But I loved Notion for my travel planner back in May!
📚💜🗓 Hi, awesome vlog, no I don't do seasonal vision board yet, really like yours, neat idea! 💡Very informative, fun, relatable, positive and real content, great self care. 💯 My October goal to watch your England content. 😅❤
They're not for everyone, and I do mine a little differently than what I usually see. But once I found a way to do them that works for me, I've really enjoyed it. I might have to do a video on this concept and my approach to it. :)
I am scared to look at my 2024 goals 🙈. For October goals I just want to try to write as much as I can. Trying to not set hard goals or work counts and just do it when I can this month. So far I'm at 10k so it seems to be working out!
Focusing on doing what you can is the best way forward. This year just took a lot of us in a different direction than we initially thought back in January, and I think that's ok. :)
I enjoyed Leigh Bardugo’s Grisha series but it didn’t resonate for some of my friends. I prefer the Six of Crows duet over the Shadow and Bone books. Haven’t been able to get into her adult books. Sarah Waters is my creepy but not scary fave. My tolerance for scary is low 😅
You may like to know that I have been to Arizona and I did see a Roadrunner😂 you have to look quick because they run fast and I don't you ever seen one in the cartoon and this road Runner was very cute
video you made about having fibro I can kind of relate to having flare-ups 2 years ago I developed sciatica and occasionally I get flare-ups but they only happen when the weather is colder so maybe not the same as what you have to deal with but but a flare up is a flare up and I know exactly what causes a flare up so I try and avoid doing such things and I find it high impact activities like running or playing tennis can do it because it acquisite to lower back which in turn causes the legs sciatica
I have a life vision board. I created a vision board that reflects my goals and plans for what I want to cultivate in my life. (I will update my life vision board if my vision changes) Then each year I will pull things from my life vision board to focus on for that year, which you could do that same concept but pull it for a quarter or a season but I choose to pull from my life vision board on a yearly basis and break it down from there.
📘 Hi, I don't really do mood boards. I've tried before but they don't really work for me. My goal for October is to start working out again and find time for writing. I work full time, plus I'm in school, so it's hard to find time for other things.
Mood boards aren't for everyone. It took me a while to find a way to do them that worked for me. Sounds like a great goal for October. There will be more writing vlogs coming back to this channel soon, so maybe we can write "together". :)
📘 Used to do vision / mood boards every year but nothing I put ever came true so I stopped last year. It just ends up being a painful reminder of my failures and makes me feel like I don't have the right to dream or want better things for myself. Maybe I will try again in the future :)
I used to be the same! And then I switched how I did them. Instead of just being images of what I wanted or what I wanted to happen to me, I made the focus on how I wanted to live for that year. The hobbies and activities and the way I wanted to feel. I'm really not a fan of manifestation, law of attraction, "The Secret" (shudder), or vision boards. But I'm so visual and I kept coming back to some sort of visual reminder of the things that are important, like time to write, time to be cozy, time for my friends and family, etc. So the mood board is about the mood I want to maintain throughout the year/season, not a vision of things I'm hoping to achieve or a life I'll live "one day". :)
Hello a few years ago I had an endoscopy and I thought it was a waste of time because I had my regular yearly blood test and I had a low iron count and the particular doctors that I was seeing told me he could not give me iron tablets because he wanted to check whether I had a stomach ulcer and I told him that I did not have a stomach ulcer and cutie just give me some iron tablets because the previous Dr just gave me the tablets without checking for an ulcer and this one said to me if I give you iron tablets and you do have an ulcer that would not be good so he said I don't care what any other doctor has done or not done I am treating you so I will insist that you have an endoscopy. Usually you are sedated but I did not want to be sedated and it was the most uncomfortable feeling I thought I was choking but the results were clear so when I went back to the doctor to get the tablets I told him I knew I didn't have an ulcer and she said no you don't but I wanted to check first😮
I just want to give you a hug right now--its gonna be great! Don't overthink it.
