Writing 5 days a week is admirable and your challenge was a success! Way to go!! writing towards a 1.5k goal while watching along today! :) have a great day
Thanks for watching! I was so happy to be able to write every day last week. I need to give myself a day off at some point lol. Writers need rest. Good luck getting to 1.5k today!
Loved your cozy vlog today, thank you for sharing! I write romance, currently revisiting a WIP from last year and revising it. I got in 2k new words yesterday, hoping for more tonight. Candles help with my creativity too. I currently have "Autumn Drive" on my desk. Next month, I'll put out the "Christmas cookies" one. My comfy, cozy writing clothes have made their appearance again. It was in the 40s today, loving this cooler weather!
Thanks for watching! Congrats on 2k words! I always get so excited when I have a 2k day, they're not that common for me. Glad I'm not the only one who needs a candle to write, it's so funny the difference it makes. :) And omg, I'm loving the cooler weather here in Phoenix too. It's not as cold as 40s but it's much cooler than it's been for the last several months and I'm so ready.
Yes, I do need to get back into the habit of daily writing. But I have finally accepted that school time will never be productive to me as I need to be there for all my 3 kids school stuff, appointments, Dr visits therapies and so on. I am telling myself to get into the habit of writing even if only 30 minutes because I will never finish if I don't make time for it.❤
Setting small goals is a good way of getting back into a habit. We all hit those times in our life when we just can't write as much as we did before. Being there for your kids right now is so important.
whoohoo what a successful week! Getting into the flow state is tricky, but so rewarding and satisfying! I set myself a 10min a day writing challenge, so far i have only done 80min so far, but I still have time to catch up!
It's felt so good getting into the flow of writing again. 10 minutes a day is a great goal! Don't worry about catching up, just focus on getting those 10 minutes when you can. :)
It is such a good feeling to be back in the flow of drafting. I'm glad things are going well. :) I'm getting ready to start reading Assistant to the Villain. Not sure if it's my cup of tea or not. We. Will. See.
Keeping it very low stakes this month doing Sarra Cannon's #RoughDraftChallenge but not writing everyday. I'm plotting a 10k outline for a new project (3k so far) while also submitting pages of my spooky middle grade short story collection to an editor which I've been working on since April. I'm proud of myself 😊
Avi! That all sounds great! So exciting that your collection is going to an editor. And Sarra's challenge sounds like a good idea. I'm not doing it this month but I'll probably join in the future.
If I wanted to start reading your books would you recommend starting from the first and working you're way through each book because it's a London series and I might be lost if I jump in to say book number three I am only asking because I watched all the Hunger Games movies and if you didn't watch each one in systematic fashion you would lose the gist of the story
With the London series you could start at the newest one, book 4, or go back and start book 1 A Brave Start. But I wouldn’t read books 2 or 3 without reading 1 first and reading 1,2,&3 in order. Book 4 is a different main character and kind of resets the series. Hope this helps! Thanks for considering reading them! ☺️
I'm a writer, still plotting the new project. I enjoy your vlogs, they're very *real*.

I've had a heavy editing year as well, loving writing a new story!
It's just funny how the timing of my different projects worked out that way, but it feels so good to be writing again!
I love your vlogs so much! Thanks for sharing. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much! :)

Ok, the title was so intriguing that I had to look it up. Assistant to the Villain sounds so good! I'm going to have to see if my library carries it.
@AndreaJSeverson I'm hoping for a good read.

@AndreaJSeverson that is helpful thank you
I don’t know how some people write 10k in a day.
I don't either. I could probably do it, but then I probably wouldn't write for a week. 10k in a week is enough for me.
