The change on his voice is great but for me the real reason why I'mma skip him is gameplay.
He can't knock up bosses, doing all those cool stuff midair is more risky than rewarding.
(Without knock up, you're forced to break bosses shield first before executing midair combo)
Maybe, if kuro adds a buff on his resonance liberation that allows lingyang to knock up bosses for 10s, be it on sequence or forte.
Nope, It didn't change anything because I already was going to be, I'm just even more excited now!
He's easily my favorite WuWa character, and that's only increased significantly! Can't wait to try his revised and improved kit!

What i love about Kuro is that they're not afraid to say " Ok, yeah you're right it wasn't as good as we thought it would. You want us to change it? sure. " Which is something really rare in most of the current videogames studios.

When I heard his voice in the trailer, I was like “Oh! Lina’s gonna love this!”. Glad you liked the new voice. I like his new voice too. Like you said, no hate to the other VA. This one just fits him better. Also, Pellek did an amazing job on the song.

@tf2spyco157 Fortunately for Genshin Impact, COVID-19 GREATLY assisted their total revenue. Wuthering Waves will most definitely not reach those levels of income, but it will surely be loved for a long time. (unless we collectively start another pandemic for our babe WW 😘)

The old VA is great with the job but the difference is way too far even to compare it with how Lingyang look

Awu was so cuuuute >~< But even though I'm sour about this change after finishing Lingyang's questline I see that the new look for this character is fits his story and themes way more. But I still want them to maybe revisit Awu's design for future character.

Omg I haven't heard his old voice before! The voice is so jarring coming out of his mouth, lol. Before this, i had only heard his new one in the trailer.
But like you said, it's definitely a case of bad voice direction rather than bad voice actor, lol. It's like giving a toddler character an old man voice. It just doesn't work no matter how good the va is.
I am so glad they changed it because I've loved Lingyang ever since I saw his design. As someone who always uses the english dub if its available, I couldn't stand it if they gave a character with such an awesome design and a cool-looking playstyle a voice as unfitting as that. Would've done him so dirty.
His voice acting on the games final release did bug me off tho. Ngl it gave me more “reading my lines” than someone who’s actually channeling a character

oh my gosh i agree please we need more skins especially for the MC, I have played quite a few gacha games and I'm so surprise that character driven story gotcha don't have more skins to capitalized on. but! knowing Kuro with their game PGR i am really keeping my hopes up that we will get a lot of skins and really good ones to if they decide to go the same rout as PGR. also love his new voice now im fully on board on trying to get him!
I usually play anime style games with Japanese voice over, so I never expected him to sound like this in the initial version of EN voice over :D It became so much better when they changed it, why they used the first one at all is beyond me!
idk what his canon age is supposed to be, but playing through his quest in the current game i get the impression hes supposed to be an adult? he doesnt really even look like a kid to me, just like a really short anime-styled adult. no idea why they thought the tiny little kid voice was a good idea originally
Only gripe I have left is that his redesign no longer makes it obvious that he's a mutated animal, not a mutated human like other Resonators; but overall I'm excited for his character.
I think his a non-human, he comes from a race called Susan ni or something

He still has actual non-human ears and tail at least. Her mutation is just less pronounced now. Although I get what you mean, the animal mutation theme was more prominent in the early stage of wuwa and it was really shaping into something, and was really cool.

I feel so sad, cause his original voice was so unique and cute, and now he just sounds like every other short male character 😑 i get that most people hated it, but i thought he sounded precious. At least his japanese VA is Hanae Natsuki, so ill just keep my language set to Japanese when i have him out ❤

I lost my 50/50 to Lingyang but at after testing his combat, I can't say I'm disappointed anymore. Plus, a great character story wise, too
i got him as my first 5* and i still think his voice is a little off but im glad it wasn't the previous one, i probably would've went insane wondering why he sounds like that

I hate his current voice, but man, its better than the original. Heard people say he sounded to childish, didn't realize how young he sounded.
Honestly as someone who tends to play Devil's Advocate and also White Knights I was about to defend Lings proto voice-- Till I really heard it.. and yes as a VA I could definitely not have been interested if they kept that voice so I'm really happy they changed the direction change the direction.
Also when it come to OwO I sincerely hope they don't scrap the entire model. Maybe they could be Lings twin brother, owo what just happened to have more of the animalistic features compared to his brother plus it would also give ling family connections as well as expand upon Lings story.
I can't say I'd go out of my way for him but if I got him I wouldn't complain because he is really adorable. Overall I'm just really excited for the release

There are no elemental reactions in the game. Only concerto effects of the characters and elemental resistance for each monster.
the only reaction those elemental thing do was an immunity to damage for some monster, like if you use spectro/light element towards spectro balls, they'd be immune and can't be damaged, but so far only spectro/light, electro/lightning, glacio/ice and fusion/fire that have those immune type monster

If you don't play their other game PGR: they actually do beta tests for every single patch. They frequently respond to beta feedback to adjust how characters play and one time they even removed a lady's hat from the final version because people didn't like it haha. They may not do that level of beta testing for WuWa, but what I can say is this is very in character for Kuro! It's great to see them continue this even with a new IP.

I think Lingyang’s Eng voice line is still not good enough. In CBT2 his Eng voice line sounded like 3 or 4 yo kid which was way too young, however now in game he sounds like a 16 up which is way too old. The best one is Jp voice where his pitch is most stable like a 10 yo boy. Cn and Kr voices also sounds great but a little bit unstable, most of the time like 10 yo but sometimes switches to 14. English voice is the last one, which sounds like a 16 yo trying to mimic a 12 yo boy, just like a femboy. If his English voice sounds slightly older than Gregory in FNAF it would be perfect.
Some may argue that Lingyang looks 16 yo but in fact the one with appearance around 16 yo is the main protagonist. Lingyang is more than 1 head shorter than a ~1.7m guy, likely Lingyang’s looking should be less than 12 but no less than 10 yo. People always overestimate the height and apparent age of anime-styled characters.

haven't tried cbt, but.. here's a little thing. What if his cbt voice was kinda just pitched up? Not sure the reason, but it sounds like that's the same va, just voicelines are pitched up.
