Do I take vitamin d3 and vitamin k2 at the same time? Or should I take vitamin d3 in the morning and vitamin k2 several hours later? I’ve heard both recommended.
I've read it's best to take at same time. Many brands have combined in one capsule. As was stated K helps the correct absorption. So they need to be in blood system at same time to be most effective. And I've never read or heard to take sperate times of day. That seems counter intuitive.
Dr Do you agree with:Vitamin K may increase blood plasma volume, which increases the thickness of your blood. If you suffer from high blood pressure or have naturally high blood plasma volume levels, vitamin K-2 supplementation may increase your risk of developing hypertension and cardiovascular disease due to an over-thickening of your blood.
@@halo9lady No that's not true, you need to take them at the same time for them to work effectively. Recommended amount is 4000 IU of D3 and 200 mcg of K2 daily,
Yep--even in actual published researched there are differences of opinions many times. I recommend always trying to look at multiple sources of actual research whenever possible and avoiding internet blogs without research references.
No, but it helps with the absorption of calcium along with K2 to put the calcium into the bones where it needs to be, otherwise calcium just builds up in the blood and organs
You have to check blood levels of vitamin D3 in order to recommend accurate dosing. And even after starting levels should be re-checked to make sure they actually come up to and stay where you want them.
Wow only on the Internet would people think it's ok to be so obnoxious and rude. I just don't understand why people think being so disrespectful is ok. What ever she does or doesn't do is none of your business. She's making this video for your benefit so just appreciate it and live and let live and trust me you'll be a much happier and better person.
Short but to the point! Sent this to my Mom x thank you!

Please mention that you need to add magnesium as well
Yep--I have other posts on magnesium and importance of it!

Good intention but...
Irresponsible not to mention it should be taken with fatty foods or Oils to facilitate absorption!
Yep--directions do say to eat with it! These videos are 60 seconds or less--only so much time:) But you are correct.
is vit k2 the same as potassium ?

Oh, wow! I may need to do some research on that.
YIKES!!!! I already have high blood pressure. And it went even higher when I had covid and after I recuperate from covid
No! Absolutely not true!
The research is clear that D3 combined with K2 actually decreases cardiovascular events.
But should you take it together at the same time? And how much vit k2 if you have atherosclerosis?
I’ve read they should be taken at different times during of the day.

You have to check blood levels of vitamin D3 in order to know exactly how much is right for you.
Thing is…you do research and other sites say never combine D with K. Take them separately, hours apart. I love the internet.

I have 19 vitMin d very low how iu dily can i take
Which vitamin d? D3 or another grade?
Yes D3!
Had just heard on another TH-cam video not to take K2 and D3 together.. b/c they compete for the same site…
Not true!
The most amount of research is on taking them together.
Vit d isn't calcium so this makes no sense.
No, but it helps with the absorption of calcium along with K2 to put the calcium into the bones where it needs to be, otherwise calcium just builds up in the blood and organs
@@lindadurand247 exactly right!
Exactly. Eat some eggs and some chicken thighs. Our bodies produce vitamin k from our gut microbiome. No need to supplement. You’ll be good.
Dosage would have been extremely helpful……….
10,000iu of vitamin d with 90-100mcg of vit k2
4000 IU of vitamin D3 and 200 mcg of K2 daily

Why all of a sudden do we need to take all these supplements? I think it’s a bunch of BS
Doc, do you take testosterone replacement?
I think she's a woman
