I agree with the premise of the video but usually best all around bike usually means it's not great at anything , just good at everything. Also it's a 4 stroke 🙂
Great video. Most commenters don't seem to get it...the 350XCF is likely the best overall stock dirt bike. Jay loves to mod them up and he has the customer base for it to take the best overall stock dirt bike and make it even bester!
Very much agree about the exhaust dirt bike tv Well there possibly be a step by step guide to removing anodising? Mainly front fork tubes save $ wise removing at home to have sent out for anodised
Got to ride a ‘23 factory edition last weekend. I really wanted to love it, but it was meh for me and the riding I do. Had the spring conversion up front and it was super harsh (I ride a ‘22 YZ250 with all the Enzo goodies, so my suspension is mint). Obviously the bike wasn’t set up for me, but it still left me wanting a little more. This was my first time riding a KTM. The quality and fit finish on these bikes is second to none however. Super impressed with the build quality.
Jay, why are all you Cali guy’s in love with the Japanese bikes? They’ve been out of touch with the US market since the 90’s. A few finally started producing “X” bikes what, like two decades after euros totally dominated the market? It took them decades to give us a handlebar that wasn’t a wet steel noodle… and they wouldn’t have done ANY of this if the Euros hadn’t forced their hand! Euro’s are making creative sizes that consumers want (150, 200, 300, 350, 500 etc..) 2 strokes and dual sports that aren’t big heavy anemic turds. How many people would buy 250/450 if that wasn’t the class displacement requirements? The big 4 suck. Not to mention a pain in the ass to work on.
Hey Dirt Bike TV, you mention the '24 having a spring fork and that you might prefer if Yamaha came out with a 350 fx because of how much you like their suspension. Well, there is a 350cc bike out there that already has KYB suspension. Check out the Beta 350 Race Edition. Maybe do a comparison video?
Hello, thanks for all the reviews. Buying first dirt bike. Lemme ask you about a raced 23 ktm 350xcf. It was raced for 1 season/ 50hrs, by a Pro/AA hare scramble guy. He Did not use stock plastics or wheels, so it’s looks good, and tires and wheel bearings are new. My question- is this thing beat? Is it safe buying from this king of abuse? What’s the typical season wear and tear? He’s says it’s good to go, Eng good, fork seals not leaking. But for how much longer? $6500…. I think it’s a good deal, he wanted 7300. Better to buy from someone who didn’t race it at that level? Thanks
Stock ones are great too. XC’s are KTM’s best selling models for this reason. Buy a 19” rear wheel and a SX tank for true MX bike for track days. DON’T change out the air fork so you can stiffen it up for track days.
Beautiful bike no doubt BUT.......even with those few mods, I'm guessing there's an easy $8K or so extra in that bike. That's A LOT of additional money for a bike that's already $10K+ new. With taxes and fees I paid $11,300.00 for my 2023 SX-F 350, I can't even fathom spending an additional $7K-$8K (if not more). The most I'd ever contemplate doing is a 6500 kit and that's nearly $2K with labor!
Sorry bro my xr400 has all the mods lectron carb USB forks excel wheels 428 stroker with a 440 big bore ,this bike does everything great o to 80 miles an hr rock track sand big mountains long hard up hill torque that never ends this is the best bike ever "built and it lives on KTM tears lol so I always agree w you except on this one b cause even w all the money I have spent is not even half of what this cost so hands down is the best all around bike ever bro right!!!!? But I would love to have one just on Your recommend but that much money buys a lot of Gass I could use on trailer to and from where ever but great bike but Not as bad ass as my xr.
Glad you love your XR but I think you’re missing his point about this being an all around, moto track and trail, bike. No doubt they have $$$ in this bike but it is a better bike at both compared to any built XR that may be great on a trail or off road course. With all that being said, my buddy has a beater 88 XR 350 that he is insane fast on gncc style track that I barely keep up on my 23 350 xc-f. He is 10x’s the rider I am tho so it might be more about the riding ability and the bike being a fit for the rider and style. My first bike was an XR but I bleed orange now 🤷🏻♂️
For trails, anything to improve transmission? I find that mine stalls out when "chugging" on 2nd gear pretty easily. Difficult to start bike in anything other than neutral even when it's warm. That's with new master/slave clutch cylinders.
Having a slow 450 is even worse than just having a450. Big turds, having a bigger bore is all negatives for a chassis, the only positive is the power if you can use it.
The best dirtbike ever is very subjective. Best for you yes you love it. But for others they have a best allaround bike that's best for them. I won't even say what the best bike is for me because it may not work for others, everyone has their own riding style and certain bikes work best for them. If I were to ask my boy what his favorite is he would say his crf50 is the greatest bike ever, and for him it is. The ideal bike is the one that works best for that individual. Keep up the great videos.😊👍
Love this channel. And love all the tech tips and riding trips. But, this type of info, for most of us, is probably not as helpful as you think. Imagine being a guy who doesn't work on his own bike. That bike would cost him $20,000 dollars. Maybe more. Not to mention, the best bike for who, beginner, novice, or pro? Jay, because you've been so involved in the industry. For so long. Maybe you've become disconnected with the difference between wants and needs when it comes to dirt bikes. And, who the average rider is. Off the showroom floor, that is way more bike than 80% of riders can even use. And they certainly don't need to spend that kind of money to have fun dirt biking. Pretty much any well cared for 10 year old bike will take you anywhere you've been on that 350. I don't know, Jay. It feels like this video screams dirt bike elitism. Not intentionally. But because you're overly connected compared to the average rider. And as someone has already commented, if it was really that good, you shouldn't have to spend that much more money on it.
Agree on the YZ. My concern is riding a 4T race-bike on the MX track. All is great until until its time for a top-end. Maybe I'm wrong and these new 4T bikes do last 400+ hours-which will need a new bottom-end anyway by then. On a 2T, no concern about top-ends.
I agree with the premise of the video but usually best all around bike usually means it's not great at anything , just good at everything. Also it's a 4 stroke 🙂
This bike looks amazing!
Awesome build! Stoked for Donnie!
Even stock they're still one of the best dirtbikes ever. Don't really need to change much at all.
Great video. Most commenters don't seem to get it...the 350XCF is likely the best overall stock dirt bike. Jay loves to mod them up and he has the customer base for it to take the best overall stock dirt bike and make it even bester!
I agree! from 2019 on I think the 350's are just a few steps away from best overall. seems like the 2024 and on are going to be even better.
The '24 KTM is in fact AMAZING.
The muffler looks way better than I thought it would. Honestly looks better than the blue.

I couldn't agree more!!!

Email Jay directly. Thanks.
Nice work
That bike has an extra 10k of parts in it. Of course you’re going to say it’s the best of both worlds. Do a review of it stock

@@JohnHowerton137 oh I know I have 2019 300xc and loooooove it.
Stock is AMAZING also! Facts. -Ohio
That petrol tank looks great, how many litres does it hold ?

Save yourself 2k and do the labor yourself
Yes, but something about the Husky just feels better Overall...
Sorry bro my xr400 has all the mods lectron

Comparison with a Husky FX350???
Is it a green sticker in California?

When switching to the 49 tooth rear sprocket, did that require you to get a new chain or will it work with the stock chain length?
How about tuning down a yz450fx?
Having a slow 450 is even worse than just having a450. Big turds, having a bigger bore is all negatives for a chassis, the only positive is the power if you can use it.
Ktm xcf 350 Ktm xc 300 kings of off road in my opinion!
disagree with your statement. you had to spend like 10k to make it the best so called bike. I dont see how you can call this the best bike.
Spend 5 to 7K on it to get it this good, doesn't make a good claim
Try more like $10-12K extra

the 23' 350xcf does not have air forks.
😂 rekluse torque drive on a ktm is huge waste of money. I get it, sponsor tho
Why can’t Glen Helen get it together and make cool jumps like Cahuilla? Cahuilla is so much better
Green sticker?
I see a lot of TH-cam videos of bikes like this on California trails. Don't know how its done.
BRUTAL the fmf silencer looks like a 2 stroke lol. Holy cope, the poor 4 stroke people
Ya kiddn me weres the blondy
I rather get a crf450rx build you sir
Clark Brian Thompson Michael Lee Betty
Red one more better
NOPE, the best all around dirt bike of all time........YZ250 2t.
