I just got a 2017 350 xcf and I feel like I’m constantly fighting the bike in 1st and 2nd gear on the more technical trails.. I’ve been trying to figure out exactly where to start with mods so this was a very helpful video… thank you!
You don't need to spend any money, tell your local KTM dealership and they will reflash it for you under warranty to fix your issues. This has been discussed on the standard KTM forums. After they flash it, save your money for custom suspension re-valve for your weight and riding style, radiator guards, & 13 tooth countershaft sprocket. Proceed to destroy everything in your path afterwards.
I have one on my 2019 250 SX-F and it's even a bigger improvement than it was on my 2017 350 XC-F. It's a huge improvement on the fueling and throttle response, significantly better than flashing the ECU.
I didn't run the fly wheel but I would guess that the combination of the flywheel and the ECU would eliminate 90% of the flameouts. The other big advantage of the Vortex is the multiple map choices. I liked running the #4 torque map on my 350. Right now I am running the #1 map on the 250 which is basically a much refined stock map.
All the latest model KTM's have the "flame out" issue because the Crankshafts have been lightened too much, along with the mapping has become too lean in an effort to comply with EPA emissions. I prefer the feel of the older KTM's
Awesome bike, you only ride the best! And if it's not, you make the best! I would fall in love with your shop...😍 And I love your friendship/Partnership with Rado @dirtnIron !! Your the man Jay and Spencer!!👍
What is the crank and piston replacement interval? At 40hrs, desert / track use ,shouldn't it get a t chain and tensioner with a piston? That is the main thing I find off putting in the 2t vs 4t question. Nice set up info, but where are you at , 15 k on this unit?
Voice volume in videos is still a little bit too quiet, but the engine sound is one of the best I have heard on yt. Not sure what your mic setup is ( maybe you can elaborate), buy the quality is great. Keep up the good work....
Great video thanks for posting. I recently had to choose between the 300/350. Chose the 300 mainly because I already have a 350 sxf. Look forward to your comparison video between the two. Thanks
fredman1085 I have both now 300xcf tpi and 350 sxf. One for moto and off-road. Tough call. Both great bikes. Seems to me super slow technical 300. Flowing and faster 350.
@@benmorgan8862 I just bought 2018 350sxf im gonna put a 8oz flywheel on,do you think a Vortex is good to? i race Jdays Gp in New England(1/2 woods 1/2 mx) total blast! just want it to be smooth in the single track woods.
tmlpony flywheel weight is probably a lot cheaper to do then a rekluse. I have a rekluse in everything I own but that’s just me. I think I’d try the flywheel weight to smooth it out and help it in the slow tight stuff.
Looks like some great mods! Taking a really good bike and making better. Love this bike
KTM 350XCF looks like a great bike.
I have had 300's for years and
'just bought a 350 and now I have the best of both worlds

Can I get the same Low end power off the excf 350 just remaping a 350 xcf?
Vortex ECU is hands down the best mod you can make!
Do you think a Vortex would be ideal on 2018 350sxf??

@@mikeb4708 ok thanks, right now i have just put a 8oz flywheel on,still havent tried it yet,im hoping theres less flame outs on the single track stuff

@@mikeb4708 ok thanks,i'll let ya know how it goes, just cant wait to get out there and RIP,winters suck
Is that a 2019? Where did you get the fan from? I have checked rocky mtn, motorsports, etc. I cannot find one.
Trail Tech has one-- It might not be listed for the 2019 but it works

Great videos just bought a 450xcf, Stock Power mode 2 seems easier to ride in tight New England trails, what are you guys running for a front tire?
I have a reflash stock ecu from twisted development aaand i hardly noticed anything. Waist of money. Going to try a vortex next

Cool info guys,, do you think a 8oz Flywheel would also work on flameouts? also did you notice reduced engine breaking with the clutch weight?
Do these really come stock with a spark arrestor? Or did you add an endcap?
Does the clutch weight change the clutch feel?
KTM has to catch up to Yamaha's powertuner app and even the handheld powertuner from the last gen 250/450.
Ktm’s weight beats out the app, looked into one 😁
Does the enduro engineering slave cylinder work if you have the rekluse slave cylinder?
